I am using Creo SimulateNot able to retrieve Creo simulate files. Facing error. How can I resolve that ?
Given how little versions changed, it has frustrated us all that we cannot save in older versions. I suspect this is largely a marketing ploy to force upgrades and new purchases. And, probably controlled by a simple version check. So after a little thinking, digging and experimenting, I have been able to open 5.0 files in 4.0. I haven't played with it much and I'm sure it's limited - but it might help someone someday. With the new version file a.) Change the extension to .zip b.) Unzip to a folder c.) Delete app.xml in docProps folder With the older version i.) Save any file ii.) Change the extension to .zip iii.) Unzip to a folder iv.) Copy the app.xlm in the docProps folder v.) Paste this 'old' app.xlm into the folder where you deleted the last one. You should just be able to re-use this file anytime you want to do this. Go back to the 'new' version folder: Re-Zip all folders and files that had been unzipped. Change extension from .z
how can i run utility system window basically command prompt in creo 12 with mapkey its not happening with this latest version
Topic reference from hereSame problem here. I purchased a license for Mathcad 11 Prime Student Edition, upgraded my account, but the download page says that I am not entitled to download software. As I purchased a license, I request immediate access to download. With the license came an activation code, but without the software I am unable to activate.
Hi there, I just bought the student license for Mathcad Prime but when i go to the installation pag,e there comes up a problem like i dont have any available product. I put in the activation code from the mail I got from PTC/Clevebridge but nothing happens. Any Ideas ? Thanks,
Hi, I am trying to select multiple references (2 a surface and an edge of a part) when creating a datum plane. For some reason holding CTRL while selecting them doesn't work. I can select one or the either and it turns green but when I hold ctrl the surface turns orange for a sec but doesn't select. Could this be because I am using VMware Fusion on my Mac laptop. Is there a work around that I can do? I need to have two references to add a rotational offset for this plane. please help. Thanks
Hi EveryoneI am using two separate detail files for two different config options:drawing_setup_file format_setup_fileWhen I create a new drawing, I get the following error in the Message Log:Error(s) in C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 11.0\custom\ISO-prt-asm.dtl. See datafile.ers. In datafile_error.txt, the error is:ERROR - C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 11.0\custom\ISO-prt-asm.dtl, line 2: Invalid value 'CALCULATED' for keyword 'text_height'.Note:Both detail files contain the same config option text_height.In ISO-prt-asm.dtl (used as drawing_setup_file), the entry is:text_height CALCULATED (Causing an error)In ISO-frm-prt-asm.dtl (used as format_setup_file), the entry is:text_height 3.5 (Not causing an error) OBSERVATION:If I changed the value of "text_height" from 3.5 to "CALCULATED", ISO-frm-prt-asm.dtl file is also making an same error I mentioned above. Software: Creo Parametric 11 Can Someone help me on this? Thanks.
Hi, Is it possible to reset variables? For example, if I want to have one file with multiple different calculations inclduing a variable for diameter, is it possible to have a line break or something, so that any variables above it are not used? Therefore variable for diameter needs to be redefined again. I know that just re-using the same variable redefines it, and that I could use D, D_1, D_2 and so on, but I do not find these acceptable solutions as it increases potential for calculating errors. And sorry for asking this, I know this must be a common question, but I don't seem to be finding the old ones.
Please provide me acces for educational purpose. Thank you.
I am trying to find a Variable in a "F"+subscript(tl) format. Find only searches for "F" alone, but that finds F with any subscript or tl but that finds any variable with tl subscript. How do I find my "F"+subscript(tl)s? p.s. This forum wont even let me format the subscript ... p.s. If PTC decided to wage war upon subscripts, why did they not superscript them in the convertor???
Hi - I have an old version 14 of math cad and I would like an license file for this. It is an upgrade from version 12Can you help me. Thanks Erik
Dear PTC Mathcad Community,I want to ask for clarification on the behaviour of units and symbolic substitution in Mathcad Prime (similar topics have already been raised, but I still haven't found an appropriate answer for my issue). So I try to find a symbolic expression for epsilon_c2, which is a parameter of the equation N.Solver succeeded with the issue, but with incompatible units (see picture)So, I have tried to find out the solution in the community, but the advice of @Werner_E with calculation options didn't resolve the issue (see the picture)So my issues are: 1. How to make the symbolic solving more "seamless" with appropriate units' manipulation in the solutions?2. Why does Mathcad not see the assigned values of the epsilon_c2 obtained in the previous solution? After some time, when the file has been refreshed, some magic happened, and now I can use the roots of epsilon c1 and c2 in a "normal" manner. But the next issue is that it doesn't let me
I am trying to upgrade my PTC account so that I can download MathCAD, but am receiving an internal error message when I submit the upgrade request with my customer number and site number or sales order number.
I have two vectors .. ztop and z ztop shows the depth of each layer (cumulative value of z in each layer) . ztop has 11 valuesz shows points in that depth .. it approximately increases by 0.02 in each layer. ( it has 3670 values) each layer has its gamma and its ztop .. ( both have 11 values)what I need is to write a program that will repeat gamma values for each z so I get the 3670 gamma values . In the first layer instead of having one gamma( 17 kN/m3) one value for all the layer , I need to get a vector which repeat this gamma as many as z in this particular layer .. and do the same for the rest layers. Can you help me with that?
Recently, I was in the position of trying to explain to a 6- and 8- year old how to play the board game Battleship. (Kids from my generation had commercials that seemed to explain the basics of the game fairly well.) While trying to explain the concept of the grid to them and search algorithms, I couldn’t help but wonder, “How could this be done in Mathcad Prime?” This month’s challenge, should you choose to accept it, is fairly open-ended: simulate various aspects of the Battleship game in Mathcad. Here are some suggestions: Write a program that will place the ships on the ocean grid. The ships must be placed horizontally or vertically; no diagonals. Ships can’t overlap one another. Do you place the ships randomly or according to some kind of optimized algorithm? Alternatively, can you use Advanced Input Controls to allow the user to place the ships on the ocean grid? Display the placement of the ships using the plotting capability. Write an algorithm for

Hello, everyoneWhen adding the "search_path" option in the Configuration Editor, if the path contains spaces, Creo+ crashes with a “fatal error encountered”. The crash results in EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION. The Creo-generated traceback log file is attached for reference.Paths containing spaces are expected to be supported. This behavior worked correctly in Creo 7.0 and is consistent with PTC official documentation, where examples of "search_path" usage also include paths with spaces. In our environment, removing spaces from folder names is not a viable workaround, as we are using corporate directories managed via OneDrive, and the space is part of the root-level folder name.As a result, this issue causes significant difficulties when manually defining paths for multiple subassemblies (up to 10 in our case) and standard components. Since I work with multiple projects daily, repeatedly locating missing components is inefficient and negatively impacts productivity. I would l
We are planning to use some AAX extensions to our global licensses PROE_DesignEssG.Is that possible and how can that be achieved fo specific selected users.
Hello Community, we are facing an issue with Creo Elements/Direct Modeling 20.7 + Annotation connected to Windchill+. When creating a new drawing from a 3D model (e.g. model name TEST) and saving it to the Windchill workspace, the drawing receives the correct Windchill number (e.g. CAD0000403) according to the OIR.However, in CED Annotation the drawing name is not updated – it still shows the original model name (TEST). In the TRACE log we can see that the number (PTC_WM_NUMBER) is correctly transferred from Windchill to Annotation, but the expected macro (Docu_set_drawing_no) is not executed. On another CAD workstation running Modeling 20.6 with Windchill 12.1.2.5 (on-premise) the drawing is renamed correctly, which corresponds to the standard behavior of the CED–Windchill integration. So far we could not identify a configuration difference. We also checked PTC documentation but did not find any known issue related to this behavior. My questions:Has anyon
As the title says. I want to learn all the functions available to be used in repeat region filter and relation. The documentation here is very limited https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r12/usascii/index.html#page/detail/About_Writing_Relations.html#Arguable it's just the introduction to what the relation does. But does not give full details of what all functions are available. I've seen in my company people using much more advance relations to filter items in repeat region. I took the Creo authorized course some days back but sadly the instructor kept it just on high level and struggled to provide solutions for complex filters. How can I learn more on this, something that is comprehensive and all inclusive.
Hello, I have multiple points like this : And i would like to "visualise them" for a demonstration like this : Is it possible ? Thans in advance
All, I have seen posts where family table instances cannot be deleted from Windchill when I delete entire table of the generic. Those deleted instances are still tied to the generic and cannot be deleted. I think I read something about purging the itterations below the latest version. Not sure how to do that. Anyone know how to get rid of these dead instances? I am thinking, maybe if I had the instances in session, then deleted the table, the saved each instance, that may have been the way to go? Wayne
Is anyone aware of any compatibility issues with Creo 7 (and/or later) on the new NVIDIA RTX 5000 Blackwell GPU's?
I want to use Python scripting in MathCAD Prime 11, but upon selecting python in the dropdown menu in the advanced controls editor, MathCAD hard crashes. I don't even get a chance to press "apply" or close the dialogue box. Everything closes. There is no stalling or freezing. It just crashes instantly. No error message is produced. What is going on? How do I fix this? My understanding is that, if Python shows up as an option, MathCAD has registered to appropriate location for the python executable. Is that correct? Python version 3.9.18 Steps. 1. Start MathCad with blank worksheet.2. Insert Advanced Control "Text Box"3. Name variable "aaa0" (or anything really).4. Right-click on the text box and press "edit"5. In scripting language drop-down box, select Python6. Watch MCP 11 crash.
I've saved the file on Mathcad Prime yesterday and today it's unable to be open. Unfortunately no restore file has been saved. Are you able to help with restoring the file?
