I thought I could use any connected surface as a draft hinge in previous versions of CREO (2.0 - 4.0). I am currently using 11.0 and tried to use a curved surface as a draft hinge and it could not be selected. Am I mis-remembering or is this possible? Model above is representative only. Yellow is the surfaces to be drafted and green is the surface I wish to use as a draft hinge.
I am using Creo Parametric Release N/A and DatecodeN/Aif I do "flip material removal side" after make section and arrowsthe lines are gone..
Hello All, For example, ability to cut a part of a case (see black line) best wishes, Gabi
1) I have had a problem where the parts and sometimes assemblies get visually "corrupted". If it happens in parts it is still doable to work around it If I ignore it, as only the visual image gets distorted but I can still work with the part as normal (I can rotate, extrude, and everything normally). Things get tricky when a whole assembly starts to act this way, and I cant really ignore it. I suspect that is occurs the most when I open a part from the assembly and start working with it, but I am not very sure why. I am not very knowledgeable of computers but these are my laptop specifications: processor: 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 2.40GHz 2.42 GHz RAM: 16.0 GB Graphics: Intel(R) Iris(R) Xe GraphicsCreo: Creo Parametric ver9 2)Another college of mine has a problem where Creo straight up just crashes and closes when it becomes a little heavy. The most we do is drawings and assemblies and it crashes for him. We rarely do simulations. We suspect t
Hi, Been lurking around here for a decade but never posted before. I just upgraded from MC14 to Prime10 and struggling with things as I get used to it.(1) How do I add additional sheet/page sizes? Specifically I am trying to add A1 and A2, right now it stops at A3.(2) What is the trick to using Find/Replace for subscripts? I tried Test.Test and TestTest but neither returned a match. I did find a post about this related to Prime6 but I figure it must have been addressed by now since I am 4 versions past that... Thanks!
I have a mass system that I am designing isolators for. I'm attempting to create a new coordinate system that represents the principal axes so that I can use that to identify locations and angles for the isolators. My problem is that when I compute the principal axes, then create a new coordinate system at the location and orientation of the reported principal axes, the location is correct but the rotation is slightly askew and I can't figure out why. In the picture below, I would expect my 1, 2, 3 axes and X, Y, Z to be on top of each other. I uploaded the CAD files as well.
Hello Everyone, I am having a hard time trying to calculate the roll angle for a involute curve. I can draw it as shown in the image but unable to calculate it. I've been working with the involute roll angle formula but i have not been able to make match what you see below in the picture.Any help world be great,And thank you in advance.Sean
How can AFX (framework) use predefined parameters for the automatic component drawing function?
Hello forum members,I am using Creo Parametric 10.0.7.0 together with Creoson and Python to create a (more or less) fluid animation. In the files you can look at my code.My problem here is that whenever the value for the parameter is set and the regeneration is done the view changes so that the assembly is centered in the middle. Does anyone know how to do something against that?I'm grateful for every bit of help, thank you. Kind regards
HiIs there any option that we can include the Part description in Global Interference window so that while downloading the file, it will be easy for me to filter?
As a company, in 2022 we downloaded Creo Illustrate 8.0. I have just started using it and am stuck on this issue. Currently, when we go into Windchill (version 11, soon will be going to version 12) we access an .asm file and convert it to a .pvz file and then use that in Creo Illustrate to make images for use in end-user manuals. Our understanding is that when a pvz is created it “breaks the link” between the active version in Windchill and what’s being used in Creo Illustrate. So, if our current model is Revision A and we have created 20 different figure views and then changes are made several times and we are now using Revision C, this means the file information in Creo is outdated, correct? How, if at all possible, can we automatically update the files in Creo Illustrate to Rev C without having to redo all 20 images? Is this can be done, how do we do it? If this is not available in Creo Illustrate 8.0, is it available in a more current version? The pers
How do I move Mathcad 14 from one computer to a new one (transfer license). It is installed on the new computer, but I get an error when trying to register and get a iicense.
Mathcad Prime V10.0.0 is failing to convert a V15 Mathcad file with a .xmcd extension. The file was originally created in a much earlier version of Mathcad - possibly V12 - but was used periodically using V15.After failing to convert, Prime creates a new file with a .mcdx extension to it. Does anyone have any advice on what the issue might be and what the next step could be? For the avoidance of doubt, I could previously open, edit, execute and save the original Mathcad file using Mathcad V15 without any issues.

Hi to all,I have recently update my PTC product from Wildfire 5 to CREO 2. Until I have used Wildfire 5 I could import XML cabling file in Pro/E (from Zuken E3) with no problem. In Creo 2.0 when I try to import same file I receive an error about spools. In practice, CREO does not accept the separation character (ex. 0.5) of the spools. Infact if I modify manualy the XML file and change 0.5 in 0_5 the problem is solved. So my questions are:- how do I replace automatically "_" instead of "."? - why in NWF file, the same spools with "0.5" is properly interpreted by CREO with no error?Thanx
Can somebody give me a list of course outline for MathCAD training? The experience of the trainees is from slightly have knowledge to expert level. Your help will be appreciated very much.

I use Creo elements/directs drafting Mixed UI 20.7 But in one day I drew a rectangle result in a parallelogram automatically. Who are know the tips to fix this case?
Does PTC offer perpetual license for Creo Parametric 11.0 or 12.0?
So if I create a threaded hole feature I can see the hole callout on screen giving me the details of the that hole feature.BUTIf I create a counter-bored hole feature I get no hole call out.Why is this? If this is a setting that needs to be adjusted why is it not uniform by default?
Beginner here. I followed this topic: Solved: Using results from output of function - PTC Communityhowever, that example generates a vectorI am trying to do it for a matrix, and I get instead a long vector:How can I make it so that the values of alfa/phi changes in the rows/columns returning all the results from the equation of P. edit: attached a file and using mathcad prime 9.0.0.0
Greetings:I'm really struggling to understand Creo's drawing module and one of the issues is hole callout. I was told that the drawing mod. does have that ability and you have to use 'Show Model Annotation" weird but okay. So I found out a how have hole call out show but the callout is not what I was expecting. Need some help on this been at it for 1/2 cay and still can figure it out. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Is assembly with fix option a solid hold ? meaning it will not move . What does fix relate with in asm. Like what is it constrained to ? I hope its not free floating in space and moves uncontrol. ANDWhat is the difference between fix/default/csys ? THANKS IN ADV
Having trouble here understanding why the red box shows up with the "These array dimensions do not match." error message.
Hello, I want to customize the serial numbers shown in a repeat region table in Creo drawings. Instead of using the default linear numbering (1, 2, 3, ...), I’d like to apply a more structured format like; 1_11_2234_14_24_3567This is especially useful when I need to group sub-items under a main item, or indicate logical associations between parts in an assembly.I've tried using rpt.index and creating relations in the repeat region, but I’m not sure how to dynamically generate such custom values. What’s the best way to set this up in Creo so that the table updates automatically based on the model?
