Is there a way to export mold flow analysis results, like fiber orientation and residual stresses, for use in later structural analysis? If not, then what is the purpose of the Creo mold extension?Ideal output would be .nwd, .nod, or some kind of ASCII.
When opening a drawing with an OLE object created before CREO8 inserted in CREO9, the OLE object is not displayed.PHOTO A is printed by before CREO8PHOTO B is screen shot in CREOCould you tell me how can I edit.
I am intended to use lock feature option for an assembly. I think i have to open all child parts and sub assemblies then lock features individually. Is there any ways to lock all the child part features and sub assemblies from main assembly in a single shot or is there any other ways to do this???
I am working with cad models without Windchill, setting local working directory. I need to avoid unwanted modifications. can someone help me the ways to make files as readonly.
I am running Creo 6 on Dell Precision 5680 (i7-13850HX, NVIDIA RTX A1000 6GB, 32GB Ram). When I am trying to open a STEP (500 MB) assy, Creo crushes with an error: "An application has requested more GPU memory than is available in the system. That application will now be closed".All the settings for Nvidia card are applied. Tried renaming .wf folder based on one of solutions I found on PTC website, Did not work for me.Tried other workstation, no problem. Something to do with a Open GL driver?Anybody had the same problem and found the solution? Any suggestions how to fix it?Thanks
Has anyone had Creo 10.0.0.0 or 10.0.1.0 Randomly exit on save from menu or hotkey with Windchill? Seems to only happen with assemblies.
Symbols from the symbol library are positioned in the 3D annotations on e.g. a combination state "Flat". This is important in order to have all information in the model (MBD).If these symbols are "displayed" in a 2D drawing, the symbols are always created in the annotations in the new_view_1 (drawing tree). If the position of the view: new_view_1 is changed in the drawing, all symbols are also moved on the drawing. This is not desired! If there is no view in the drawing, the symbols created in 3D cannot be displayed. If you add the symbols in the 2D drawing (detail), they are created in annotations below the views. The positions of the symbols do not change when a view is moved. Why is this not possible for symbols that are integrated in the flat layer in MBD?
We are on CREO 8.0. I have a part with datum targets, very similar to the connecting rod in ASME Y14.5. I would like to show the "merged" (think, merged BOM balloons) datum targets like the attached picture for A1 and A2. The only work around I could come up with is to create the two bottom view datum targets A1 and A2, and then turn off the point and leader line display of target A2. Then I can "fake: the position of A2 to look like the two merged A1 and A2's in the attached picture. THE downside is that they are NOT connected to each other and moving A1, does NOT take A2 with it. IS there a better way?thanks in advance...
Hello All's,I've got my profile photo for about 20 years !Not essential, but I'm wondering if I could design or buy this kind of model for using with manikin module.Just for fun and illustrations.
I am working on a model in Creo Parametric 8 Sheetmetal and having difficulty getting a feature to mirror correctly. The model is U-shaped and on one of the legs I have created 2 identical sketch forms. I then mirror the forms about a plane to the other leg. The upper form mirrors correctly, while the lower one does not. The form has an OD of 3.58 inches and when mirrored it comes out at 3.2 inches. I have tried re-drawing the feature and I have tried mirroring about a different plane. No matter what I do, nothing seems to work. Am I missing something here? This is the original sketch form: These are the form properties: This is what happens when I mirror, one correct one wrong: When I correct the form to make it work, you can see the OD of the form is inside the OD of the sketch: I would like to keep the design I have if possible, it's parametrically driven and if I manually create this form on both sides of the model I will have to have twice as many parameters
Hi, I would like to model a straight part for 3D/2D-documentation purposes but in reality the part would be assembled in a groove on an assembly and I would like the part geometry to follow a curve on the groove. The same part would be used twice in same assembly and in two different grooves which have different curves. My own thought was to make the part flexible and get it to follow sketched line on the groove but I can't figure out how to do that properly. Could you help to determine which would be the best way to achieve this.Attached image to hopefully clarify what I'm requesting. I'm using Creo 8. Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150I tried renaming a part its model name changed but the common name remains the same.I tried to rename it using change in session as well as on disk but after saving the part and restarting the application I found the common name unchanged.
Hello everybody, I am trying to create a manufacturing flat harness drawing for supplier using cabling module. I have tens of wires and also splices in model. My expectation of drawing would be that it's clear and well arranged, but the wires are creating so many segments which are grouped together and it looks little messy. My first idea was to use bundles, but because the splices are also in the design, it is not working properly. So my second idea was to hide all flat segments in drawing using layers, and use only geometry of network....this is so far good solution, but only thing is that the network is gray dotted line and I am not able to change it so standard black line. Anyone knows what to do in this situation? Worst case is that my drawing would be not so well arranged, but it could be also used for supplier definitely I use Creo parametric 7
Dear All, Currently by Using &asm.mbr.cparam.POS unable to use filter & Flat/Rec function in repeat region BOM.A solution is needed. With regards,Thanoj Kumar V
Hi All, I wanted to share that when using the ProAnnotationshow API to create drawing dimensions and providing axis is as a reference, the status is displayed as 'pro_tk_invalid_matrix.' Has anyone else encountered this?please let me know, if anyone has the solution.Thank you

Da Boss came to me the other day and asked if I could make something that would function as a drawing tree for all our assembly drawings. I thought about it, and said no, not like we're used to seeing, like the usual drawing tree or an "Org Chart" for those that have never seen a drawing tree. BUT, I thought I might be able to do it in BOM form using a recursive repeat region. I've never worked at a company that wanted to use a recursive BOM, so, this will be my first time playing with it, but, I figure it SHOULD be almost exactly like doing a regular BOM. We want the drawing number, and the title, and "probably" quantities. Anyone ever done anything like this? Is there Creo 8 functionality for this I'm not aware of (last having formal training on Wildfire 5). If not, this would be GREAT functionality to have. Thoughts?
Hi all, I'm looking for a method to find all the copy geometries linked with a specific component even if defined in other components or assemblies. Is it possible? Thanks a lot. Regards,Roberto
hi All is there a possiblity to extend this red marked drop down list with e.g. 1.5*Thickness? br
How do turn on ''rename'' feature?
Hello community, Is it possible to move a feature (feature) to any position in the model tree using Excel VBA? E.g. the feature "Width" "Length" "Thickness" at the end of the model tree. What would be the procedure here with Creo 5.0? Translated by the Community Moderation using Google Translate ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hallo Community, ist es mit Excel VBA möglich, ein Feature (KE) an eine beliebige Position im Modellbaum zu verschieben ? Z.b. das Feature "Breite" "Laenge" "Dicke" an das Ende des Modellbaum. Wie wäre hier die Vorgehensweise mit Creo 5.0 ?
I am working on the design using the CREO student version, and my colleague is working with SOLIDWORKS. A colleague handed over the .sldprt file, and CREO says, 'Unsupported file version.' In this case, is this a problem because it is a CREO student version? (The same problem is repeated for sldprt files that are readily available online.)
Hi All,I am preparing a general arrangement drawing of an assembly in which I need to show the reference drawing name of each part. so I am wondering if we can add them by using rept region.
We have one Workstation which is outdated but we have Wildfire license against this Host, so shall we install same license in new workstation.?
Hello, I need to download Flexnet admin to manage my Creo Schematics licenses where can I download the latest version for Windows server 2022
