Hello everybodyI am using Creo 7.0.2.0. My interface language is set to Russian. However, there is a section called "Intelligent Fastener" under the "Tools" tab, and it is in English. Could you please advise me on how I can translate the buttons in this section to Russian? I have tried searching various settings, but I have not found anything. Thank you for your assistance,
Hello All, In the attached snap of my assembly, i would like to constraint center point of half circular surface. For that, i was attempting to create rigid link between center point and surface of half circle. and added displacement at center point. Can you please suggest is this a right way to do it? Rigid link Thanks Ankur Shah
In Drawing of Creo 2.0 when I click on Annotate tab the fatal error occurs. The rest of the tabs are OK but annotate tab doesn't work. The error Log is attached, could anyone help me?
The standard dictionary is so bad that it does not understand basic engineering/manufacturing terms.Standard words like 'adhesive, anodize, balance, etc. are not recognized.
Hi, I'm trying to have a note as a custom symbol. I want to have it so that when I place the symbol Creo will automatically ask for input. For example we have a surface finish that when placed will automatically ask for a value. I have a profile of a surface tolerance with a number followed by 3 datums. This is in the note itself: I have \TOLERANCE\ as an attribute: I've looked at other symbols that automatically ask for a value but I can't figure out what the difference if for the life of me.
I have created a closed profile with sheet metal, but on the last two bends the corner is not closed and there is a chamfer there as shown in the following figures and attached file, how can I have a complete perpendicular edge there?
User is trying to allocate more RAM for his Creo Simulation by updating config.pro file, but it doesn't seem to be reflecting in run summary.sim_solver_memory_allocation
I have created this tapped hole however I cannot see the threads. Creo parametric 9.0 Student version
I am runing on 10.0.0.0. Despite the setting "iconify_entire_pro" is set to "yes", I still have to minimize each window. It worked fine in Creo7 but not in this version. Is anyone having the same issue? Any solution? Saw one old article on the same issue , Creo 3. The fix is to set "activate_window_automatically" to "No" which I am quite reluctant as I still want this automatic activation. Anyone knows any good trick to solve this? Thanks
First question from a Creo newbie:I noticed when opening old SolidWorks .SLDPRT files, Creo Parametric (v10.0.1.0) deposits a .CREO file in the same directory as the part. This file doesn't show up when using the file browser in Creo and isn't associated with anything. I couldn't find any explanation of it. Could someone let me know what these files are and if they can be deleted?
I think its high time that PTC put some effort to come up with this " Develop a depth feature in the navigation to view the interior of the models," feature, which makes it easy for people to review the designs and show, share, and analyze the designs.
I was wondering if anyone can provide a post processor for a Haas SL30T lathe? We are running Creo version 7.0.7.0 if that is needed. Thanks in advance
To all, I had a question and I thought I could just modify a dimension in a part by adding on "mm" to the value. So in other words not change from inch to mm in my model, just modify an inch value directly to mm without using a conversion factor. I thought this was something that PTC had available to do in an earlier version, as we are now using Creo8. In the images attached I tried to just include mm in my change, but it did not work. Thanks,Dennis
since we have upgraded to Creo 9 our Section lines and Centerline scale a seem all out of whack when compared to older drawings. they look normal in the drawing but when exporting a PDF thet look bad. Either the section line scale is so small that it looks solid, or the centerline/Axii lines are so large that they dont show breaks. we are running into instances where we are updating old drawings and its rasing lots of flags because they look so far off. here are two samples one with configure settting intf2d_out_pdf_scale_line_fonts changed. We are looking at having the Axii from YES and the Cut/Detail Lines from NO YES
Hello,Is it possible to delete feature with the help of relations/Proprogram.The requirement is that, I have a master model, from which i can generate two designs by suppressing and un supressing some features. And when i generate a particular model from the master model, i need to automatically delete the suppressed feature, as its not longer needed for that part. Thanks,Sajith
Hello everyone,There is a part that has been designed before, when I open the part, it asks me to write the model I will choose and it arranges the model according to the answer I give. There are some formulas in the parameters, but when I looked at the programming part, I could not find an "if" formula for body selection. The family table is also empty.I can do this from the family table, but every time I open the part, it asks, which is a problem for me.How can I do this with the if command from the programming part? What I want to do is for the user to see the model they want by typing the model code they want.can you help with this issue? When the user selects model 1, the model tree looks like this. When the user selects model 2, the model tree looks like this.
When dragging components, is it possible to make settings that give priority to the movement of dragged parts, such as giving frictional resistance?
We recently solved an on-going performance issue w/ some remote workers that was traced to a config.sup setting (trail_dir) which was dumping trail files onto a network drive. This was a nogo suggestion from PTC dating back years. We got to wondering if trail files are even utilized to the extent they were when hardware/software was not as mature as it is today. I've not needed to re-run a trail file in many years so I'm wondering how it would act w/ the interactions Creo has w/ Windchill these days. Thanks.
Hello,I am trying to recreate this model from solidworks model mania 2006 which consists of two phases, changing your model from to the one below.Basically adding a taper and a draft. While doing this I realised my initial sketch that was extruded to the surface was not enough to handle the taper. The surface(created using a sweep) and my initial sketch below ( the sketch is a bottom up projection of the surface edges. When extruding without a taper it works perfectly. However when I add a taper of 15 degrees to it, the extrusion no longer fits to the surface as nicely as before. The fix I found for this was modifying my sketch to be taller than the projected area. This resulted in an extrusion that fit much better to the surface.I am sure I am probably messing something so I would really any tips on why the projected area extrusion doesn't work. I am using creo parametric 9.0 student version
I want to delete a part from my assembly and have the children automatically be suspended (without the confirmation window if possible) There appears to be threads from 2013 and 2017 concerning this. Has this been addressed? If so how do I apply it? I am using Creo 7 Thank You!
As per this thread. I know this is a very old post, but I recently ran across some troubles trying to model a part that was to be wrapped in fabric and am struggling to find a robust way to make a flat pattern from the wrapped component. Creo doesn't seem to like areas that would otherwise be "folded" as you'd see with soft materials, and the relief options when trying to use sheet metal also aren't much help. It would be great if there were a way to simulate a soft material as thickened quilt to wrap around another component. For the time being, I am modeling the part as desired for the final product, and taking measurements to manually make a "cut" pattern, With the cut pattern I am hatching an area where pleats and relief would be allowed and asking our supplier to determine how best to wrap the part.
I've got a feature for a flat pattern and in the model tree it shows two associated bend notes. Is there a way to access these notes using the J-link API to get the angles of the bends? or is there a different method to get bend quantity and bend angles for a sheet metal pattern?I've tried inputting a solid, getting the features that are from the flat pattern, getting each feature and listing the sub types and then filtering by model items of the model item type axis which gives me the bend notes I believe which I have used for the bend quantity but now I just need the angle. For Creo Parametric 9.0.4.0.The Code I've used so far is in the picture attached
Hello,to mark our parts and mainly assemblies (cylindrical) we use a projected cosmetic sketch but:For 3D renderings, it cannot be blacked outIt is projected and not rolled up (ideally). In the assembly mode, I found only by mixing with the surface but there are many functions. In part mode, I was advised the offset function but I must not have the same version of creo because not found. How do you make your marking? what solutions? I blockThanks
Hi all, In CREO 7.0.2.0 or in CREO 8.0.5.0, we want to see the symbol name in the drawing tree.In the following pic, you can see: 1 - the Symbol2 - the symbol name3 - the drawing tree (Creo 8 version) I think the symbol name is saved somewhere, and I think it should be possible to extract it in order to make it appear in the drawing tree. I thought it was possible to save the drawing tree as drwtreetool.txt, but I couldn't find the file. Could you help me to find the txt file, and how to view the symbol name in the drawing tree?Regards
Hi, I as some doubt in drawing sheet, with in the drawing sheet we as some symbol is there any way to read symbol and variable text name that was selected in the symbol. if it is problem send me any VB API for my Reference or Map key. Thanks in Advance.
