Hello, In inventor there is a single button to break a part up that has had separate extrudes created in it and put those new parts into an assembly and create the assembly. If this is not possible. Is there a way to section Part_A in Assembly_01 and be able to "Project" the geometry of that section into a Sketch in Part_B which is also in the Assembly_01.There seems to be no way to do this simply that I can see and in Inventor its again a single button. Click and the section is now a sketch in the new Part_B.These sound like 2 different problems but they are exactly the same thing. I can project geometry into a Sketch while in a part but there seems to be no way to get that information (and stay referenced) into a new part. So changes made to Part_A automatically update Part_B Any help with this would be great.
Hello Everyone, I'm working on Creo 7.0.10.0 version with WC12.0.2.0. After I launch Creo I'm getting a dialog box with below message instead of WC sign-in page. Did anyone face this issue? ThanksKB
I am using Creo Elements Direct ModelingIs there any Tool Available for Converting Creo Elements Direct Modeling and Drawing to Creo Parametric Assembly and Drawing.Source Formats: .PKG, .MI, .BDL required destination formats: ASM, PRT and .DRW
HI When the user isolate some component in the model tree, then when user select all components and Clikc unhide means, only the main level component is Became active, Still, the Nested components are in Hidden state Please fix this bug (view in My Videos)
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.3.0Is there a toolkit function equivalent to the "Convert All XCH to Pat" command? If not, is there a way to convert a XCH hatch to PAT format with toolkit api? Please provide example code if possible. Thanks!
Using the api how do I get to the model parameters instead of the drawing parameters? I'm able to get to the drawing parameters but not the parameters from the drawing active model. Any advice?
Creo Parametric 9.0.4.0, OTK C++ I'm trying to assemble a component in a given assembly using csys's as references (see attached code). What is wrong? Thx in advance
As per the original post. Do you know how I can split the connector and hide all unused contacts? I have a connector with 186 pins and only using 100. I'm a former Pro/Diagram user and it had the capability to split a connector and hide the remainder unused pins. Thank you
Looking to write some code to translate a wirelist from excel to XML in order to import it into the harness model. Is there a document that discusses the required parameters for the components and Connection sections? the Ninja cabling technical bulletin package did a great job of describing wire spools. Hopefully there is an equivalent for the Components and Connections.
Hi, I am trying to perform a save as, however the copied model is still referencing the parent. Any changes I do on the save as model are shown in the parent model. How do I make a copy of the assembly and add changes without messing with the parent?
As per this thread. Hi, I Attached the C# code If, I run this I am get the right View as output. I need to get -FACE ISOMETRIC as output, help me to figure it out, if we need to run the macro of -FACE ISOMETRIC with line I need to paste. Folks, I'm currently using CREO 7. Exploded lines are shown below. This has been happening to me for many years depending on the stackup and regardless of CREO version. I thought this was a bug that would have been fixed by now, but I'm thinking either it's me or its a bug no-one cares about. How can I rectify this? Thank you.
HI,I would like to examine of peramiter guarding made of steel wire, but i have difficult because i fail to define a force on a grid. Can you help me, please? Thank you best regards
How can I take over the views from the view manager when exporting / saving a PVZ in Creo4? In my old company this always worked without any problems. Now, unfortunately, it doesn't take over anything.
I am trying to replicate a curved scissor mechanism from an old purse (image named open and closed below), I am having some trouble connecting the assembly particularly the translation for the curved parts (image named translation below) , it is working fine with the non-curved version as I selected the bottom and top surfaces respectively. With the curved versions even when I attempt to define unique planes for the translation it does not seem to work, I assume it is due to a problem with the geometry I have defined. I would really appreciate it if the error that I have made can be pointed out, I am attaching the files below. Best,Ibrahim Tayyab
Hello, I've been having an issue where I have some parts that use some sketches in the parts themselves to show locations in the model based definition drawings (IE: circles or lines to show locations to mask ect). These MBD piece parts are then used in an assembly that's a standard 2D drawing in Creo. I don't want these sketches to show in the assembly drawing as they're not used and could cause confusion. I've found that within the layer tree in the drawing all of these sketches seem to exist in the 005_CURVES layer in each part, so I went through and hid them all so they're no longer showing in my assembly so I figured I was good. The issue: We use EPDM windchill, so once I checked in the drawing in Creo and pulled the PDF of it from EPDM the sketches were showing up again. It seems that something is un-hiding this layer when the drawing gets sent over to EPDM. If I produce a pdf from creo directly they don't seem to show up, but I need to be able to pull the c
Creo 9 sketcher constraints show as whits circles. This does not add to the functionality.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.2.0My tolerance block is greyed out. I've updated the drawing properties to reflect tol_display set to yes, as well as going into the configuration file and setting tol_display to yes. This seems to be the fix from searching across the internet, but it's not fixing the issue for me.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 10.0 and Datecode10.0.0.0Greetings,In Creo 10 I cannot permanently initialize the units mmns option that comes default as inch. Even though I save the changes and files, when the software is reopened, it continues to work with the old settings.I have tried all template methods, but even though the light on the right side is green, it goes back to the old settings after saving.I can't save to some windows where I want to save the settings and I can't make changes to the original config.pro file.I would appreciate your support. Here are the errors that I facedThere is no error message, just working same settings
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.4.0Creo crashes when creating a new project in Flow Analysis. Any help is appreciated. I've included my hardware information below.- CUDA version supported by driver : 11.6- Details about NVIDIA cards found :- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 SUPER- Dedicated Video Memory : sufficient- Details about RTX cards found :- Driver Status : Supported- Device Status : Not Supported
Hi guys, I have a question about possibilities in creo. Is there any option to divide or split one body which contains two features that are physically connected together ? I know the split body but that’s not usable for complex geometry. I have a task to make a body which represents inside volume of closed housing. And the second question is if the creo is capable to somehow find air gaps in the closed housing ? For example I want to know if there are no pressure leakes. Thanks creo 7.0
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode 8.0.8.0What is the best practice to reuse Spools in Windchill?
Hi, how can I resize the view window based on solid model?I'm using CREP PARAMETRIC 9.I have the necessity of draw a surface "Area designata 1" in an assembly, then I have to hide the surface in drawing. Althought I hide the surface, the view window is oversized because it feels the presence of the surface. The oversize of view window causes problem of views overlapping. How can I resolve this problem?Kings regards. Michele Barile
Hi, I am using Creo 9 and got this problem in an assembly environment. When I assembled a part to a sub-assembly and I encountered this problem that all the datum of the part cannot be seen. From the model tree, I could see the datum (layers, axis and DTM_csys) are grayed. But when I chose a grayed datum (such a plane) and checked its information and found its status is "shown". Similar problem occurred to another part created in the assembly environment, I could not see its "Axis". Though its planes are shown. Appreciate it if anyone can help me.Allen
Hi guys, Im just wondering if it is possible to get result of overall volume of interfered parts. I have a really complicated assembly and measuring air volume in the closed housing. Some parts are fully in the housing but some are not. So instead of using multi body features I want to I know if there is another option to measure it. Thanks
