Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Is there a way to change the default action in the conflict prompt from "Check out now" to "Make Read-only" for example?  

Hello,I have a problem using Creo Toolkits, that is because of the .exe file executed from the toolkit keeps oppening a Windows blank CMD window and whenever I close it, Creo just crashes. Currently using Creo 7, We have a standard hole note that we use all the time. &PATTERN_NO - &METRIC_SIZE &DRILL_DEPTHEQUI SP ON A &d PCD 6 - M4x0.7 ThruEqui Sp on a  PCD. The default hole callout can do all the parameters apart from the PCD. For this we have to find the driven dimension for the diameter and copy that parameter into the hole note text. Often our models have multiple hole patterns so we can't set a parameter in the model start-up. Is there any parameter that can be used like PATTERN_NO. but for the axis diameter?If not is there any work around so that the ID of the diameter can stay the same relative to the hole that it was created by?   

When adding parameter(s) to a part for COMPARATIVE_TRACKING_INDEX.  Demo showed adding value to be applied to a feature.  System allows selection of SURFACE, QUILT, BODY etc. Is the system set-up to use these element types (How ? ) - I have had zero success when trying to add anything BUT a surface.With a complex part file that simplifies a supplier assembly or design concept I have encountered the need to add over 20 surfaces, what would be the best technique to simplify selections, (e.g.; can a quilt be created and used? ).

Item # 1 is the object of interest. it passes through and is held in position by the welded bracket (Item # 4). Is there a way to filter repeat regions regions using a rule that filters by simplified representation? IE: &asm.mbr.representaion == "step1" The use case: We show assembly steps in drawing sheets.  IE sheet 1 = step 1, sheet 2 = step 2, etc.Using simplified reps / repeat regions we show a BOM and Balloons only for each step.   (Steps 2 only shows BOM information for Step 2, not step 1 or 3, etc).   Looking at step 2, the repeat region will automatically filter step 3+; to filter Step 1 initially we 'filtered by item'.  Then we started 'filtering by rule'.  (ie &asm.mbr.name == "PN123") for each part in step 1.   This was slower, but improves maintenance (when part are added to the ASM, etc)Additionally qtys doesn't work well with this method.  IE if you use a 1/4 bolt on step 1 and step 2.If there was a way to filter repeat regions by simplified rep or by another repeat region  this workflow would

Creo Parametric 7   I have multiple designs in process that will have thread milled holes in them. What is the best practice for standard thread milled features in Creo? The standard tapped holes are not out of the box configured to deal with these features.   Is anyone aware of the existence of an open-source custom hole chart for thread milled holes for UNC/UNF threads? Would custom hole charts be capable of dealing with thread milled holes?   I am open to other solutions (UDFs) etc. if there is an advantage to using them.        

Hello,  I'm having this strange problem that when I run transient simulations with point measures, the results show a flat '0C' over the entire time period. The initial temperature is well below that, so it can't be that the temperature just never changes. One of my points actually does give me good results, but I can't find any difference between the way any of them are set up other than them being on the surfaces of different components. I've tried remaking the assembly file from scratch, in case it's a surface vs. volume meshing style error I changed the points to all be on surfaces instead of internal (at first, the point that worked was the only one on a surface), and adjusting the mesh density.  Does anyone know what would make point measure results turn out empty?I'm using Creo Parametric 7.0.3.0. Thanks, Jocelyn  

I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0We know support for DIAGRAMS (.dgm files) is all but gone but we we do have a pertpetual license (54) and have been continuing to use them, with parameter 'enable_obsolete_modes=True'. But now we can't open the .dgm files any more and we are not sure what changed. Looking at the settings with Creo we see that enable_obsolete_modes has a 'stop' icon next to it (see attached). Doe this mean it is no longer working?

We have purcahsed Creo Direct license and it is active till Nov 2025. However we have never installed it and Creo direct application as well. We need support to install the license on license server.  

Hi there, for some reason, when I run interactive ModelCheck within an assembly and select "All Levels",ModelCheck still only checks the top level assembly.To check all components, I have to run MC on each single component manually.This is quite time consuming, when there are 50+ parts to check. Any ideas, what could be wrong? Using Creo 8.0.7.0 

I'm attempting a study of a Macpherson strut and struggling to figure out how to input the damping characteristics.  I have the Creo Mechanism dynamics option but as far as I can tell the damping coefficient would be the same in both compression and rebound.  I'm wondering if there is a better way to represent the damper.  Anyone have experience with this?     

Hello everyone, The situation is that I have an assembly that only opens in CREO VIEW, so I saved it as a .pvs file to import in CREO PARAMETRIC to save as .IGS or STEP File but when exporting the file does not contain information, it is empty . Any suggestions or method to save this file?  Regards. 

Hi All, I'm creating a reference pattern of screws in a bolt circle.  I need to skip two holes where I need longer screws.  The dots that allow unselecting instances don't show up when I'm in the pattern creation. This only happens on certain components of the assembly. I thought it may have to do with the fact the driving pattern is an assembly feature (in a sub assembly), but it works for other sub assemblies with hole patterns. Any ideas?  It's only 8 holes so I can insert them manually for now but it would be nice to figure this out. Thanks,

Hi, CREO 7.0.I am working on a robotic arm with piping on the inside. The arm is constrained using pins, so I can free move the arm as intended. I added planes/sketches on the arms and created pipes using the pipe application. When I move the arm, the pipes are stationary until I regenerate, then they update into the correct position. I am creating snapshots and regenerating after each instance so that I can create an animation. When I work on the animations, the arm is moving, but the pipes are not. How can I fix the model so that when the arm moves, the pipes move with it? Thank You,Alan      

We are moving our server environment to the hosted cloud vendor; I was told that we may need a new license/certificate for the Windchill license server to be active in the new environment? We are using a VMware VM in the new environment. So, what do we need to provide to make this happen?

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0Hi, So I went through and changed some of the screw/bolt names within the family table, though I made sure not to change the name of the generics or the heads of each sub family table. I've done this in the past and it worked fine. It also still recognizes all the new names and pulls in the correct bolts with the correct names upon startup. I am also able to open up the top level generic part and all lower level generic parts, as well as the renamed parts just fine.My issue is now that when I go to use the intelligent fastener tool it tells me that a model cannot be found. The way it names the model is very odd too, it seems the model has the same name as a file path, and the file path it gives never held the part in it anyway (the csff.prt file is not located in the "ifx_fastener_data" folder, it is located in the prolibrary folder, and I made sure of that on a differerent machine that had not yet updated their ifx prolibrary).

I want to create a symbol with 3 colors, Red, white and blue. I am using Creo 6.I use a filled hatch pattern. When I make for blue and red, no problem, but the white are is printed in black. When I modify the white scale to a little less white, it pops up ok.How to print fully white area?I know this is pentable related but I can't find the issue.

I am using the Creo Harness Manufacturing Extension to create a wire harness manufacturing drawing. I am trying to populate the cavity tables for each connector with terminal and seal names. I am under the assumption that HMX pulls terminal names from a terminator table. I tried to import a terminator table into Creo Schematics from a csv file that I created but I am getting an error that reads "Failed reading file terminatortable.csv, line 1 is invalid." I created the csv file by exporting a sample terminator table text file from PTC into a csv file. Shown below is a screenshot of the csv file I tried to import. Help would be much appreciated!   

HiMy colleague has encountered a strange issue. IFX grayed out in some his assemblies for some reasons. They were all good the day before. I checked it only happened on some assemblies. So my thought is that must be something different of those assemblies. So far I could figure out why. Any causes will make IFX unavailable in an assembly?
