Creo+ and Creo Parametric

I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.8.0Hello,I experienced something weird with Creo 7.0.8.0 and Windchill 12.0.2.1 :When I save and upload a CAD, if I am quick enough to create a new part while the upload is running, Creo crashes with a fatal error.This problem is easily reproducible (only need to be fast).Any idea what is the cause of this issue? Is there any way to tell Creo and/or Windchill not to start a download (in this case, the startpart) while another server operation is running (in this cas uploading a CAD)Thank you in advance

Hi everyone, I'm trying to use the simulated fasteners feature within simulate but I am having trouble understanding the values that are being generated and output within the .RPT files. Please could someone help me understand the units it generates the results in and there magnitude. Are the results related to the principal system units? If so how? This problem involves reconstructing an annular surface using datum points-->curves and the boundary blend surface feature.  I have created a set of circumferential curves and radial curves to be used as the two directions.The circumferential datum curves have the ends condition set to either tangent or curvature using a smaller curve segment created from the same point set.  I do not know of any other way to generate a closed continuous/smooth curve from points than this.  When I create the boundary blend surface, the result is a quilt with a small sliver surface in the region where the ends of my datum curves exist.  How can I eliminate/avoid this sliver surface and instead generate a single continuous/smooth surface?    

With the new UI, where did the hatch properties get placed? I would just like to change the spacing and am puzzled where they hid this property.  

Hi all, I would like to know if exist a parameter to set up for not create a fastener file everytime I add a fastner into a assembly.If I insert a new fastner using IFX, I will have  a prt file inside the folder of my project. Is it possible to save all the fastnere that I will use in every assembly in a single folder so is not necessary to re-crate a new file everytime I will insert that fastner in another assembly? Thanks      

I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM030There is an attribute called Last Modified (PTC_WM_Modified_on ) for EPM object under the visualization and attribute group. I wanted to change the value for it.PTC Suggested below articles and we followed it. But, those are not working as expected. Does anyone know if there's a way to parameterize the flag notes in such a way that those in the notes block and the rest of the drawing are synced? For instance, I have a flag note 5 that is now becoming flag note 4, since I deleted a note above it and I need to keep the notes sequential. However, it is extremely tedious/annoying to go through all pages of the drawing and change those flag notes 5's to 4's individually. I find this to be problematic for larger drawings (10+ sheets). Can I control it at the notes level and have the corresponding flag notes auto-update?    

We have an assembly that the designer put too many mounting plates in. The drawing BOM showed 26 plates but only 24 columns. When he went in and removed the 2 extra plates from the assembly and then opened the drawing, he received a message that the BOM count quantity had changed from 26 to 24. All good so far, Checked out the drawing and with the change went to check it back in. Message appears that nothing has changed so nothing to check in. What is Creo thinking when it tells you that the BOM has changed but it isn't changed for checking back in? Same thing but with a dimension. Changed from a single hole diameter callout to adding a 4X. Open the drawing, get notified that the dimension has changed, but nothing to check in due to being no change. In both cases, we had to do something in the drawings to 'force' a change that Creo would recognize as a change to get the changes checked back in. Very frustrating and in both had to open the drawings twice to realize what it would take to

We are using CREO 7.0.  An associate has a Harness that she is trying to figure out if we have all the spools for.  In the model tree, it shows all the spools, but some have a small box that maybe looks like a small schematic in front of the normal spool model tree icon.  CAN anyone explain what that means?  As you can see, we have other spools that just show the normal spool icon.  The model tree looks like this:And it is the spool icon in the red box that we are curious about.thanks in advance!!!!    

Hi,I am a newbie to Creo and I recently created a small format to test it out the scale properties of a drawing. here I found 2 scale one is drawing sheet scale(!) and view scale? how to call the view scale function in the title block from a format? For this I used &scale.  

I have rectangular flanges that I have to create hole patterns for. I usually start with making a master cad file that has some automation to it, which allows me to make quick adjustments to the assembly for modified versions/sizes of the product. Rectangular hole patterns have been an issue for me. My current method is this. I create a rectangular construction sketch, using the center of the hole/duct as a reference. I put a point or circle in one of the corners of the rectangle. I then pattern the sketch using directions, with a relation that takes the length of each side and the number of holes and drives the hole spacing for each direction separate. However, that gives me all of the holes in the middle that I don't want. I just need the outline, so I go in an deselect all the center holes by hand. It's tedious but it works. The problem is when I have to adjust the number of holes, then I have to go through and fix all the selected/deselected locations. The outline pattern option do

Hello everyone,  I am using Creo 9.0.0.0, and I am trying to define a slider connection for a piston and cylinder to perform its mechanism. I used to do that several times before and it worked. But this time once I define the rotation it is telling me "Connection definition is incomplete".  as shown in the figure.  I have defined two assemblies, the first one which is the moving parts including the cylinder. The second assembly is the fixed parts including the piston.  I am not sure why it is not working with me.

We would like to be able to export a step file with annotations but without quilts. Currently when selecting annotations, quilts are automatically selected and greyed out so they cannot be unselected. A PTC support representative already explained there's no way around it using the standard options. Please make it possible to export a step file with annotations but without quilts (product idea). Currently when we want to send a step file to our vendors (mold maker for example) it includes confusing quilts which are a potential source for errors.
