It seems like the stock table does not consider AFX created plates, only beams. Is this correct behavior?Another thing I wonder is if there is any possibilities to export the stock length info from the model itself to a text format, so I don't need to go through a drawing to get this information? Thanks!Regards Yngve(Creo Parametric 11.0.4.0)
Goal: One drawing format which will populate specific data and not matter if the drawing model is a single part or an assembly. Using a repeat region I am trying to pass model material along with a few other items into a title block. I can successfully make this happen byUsing 2 different formats so the repeat region calls outmbr/ptc_material/ptc_material_nameasm/mbr/ptc_material/ptc_material_nameUsing 1 format, but making all drawing models assemblies so that the item 2 always is present. Is there a way to use repeat region relations in order to have a single format with a repeat region which works if the drawing model is a part or an assembly? I'm not sure if it is even possible, or if I simply am having an issue with syntax and formatting.
Hello Community, We have many parts that were created in an old version of Creo when there was no multi-body function yet.All of these parts have the color assigned to the part level. If I now change the material, the new material color is assigned to the body level. However, the old part color remains in the model. When I export a STEP file, the old color of the part is used and the new color of the body is ignored. Yes, I can manually delete the color from the part level, but that takes a lot of effort for each part.Is there a way to automatically remove the part appearance color from all parts?Or is there a way to apply the color to both the body and the part when assigning the material? Thank you!
I would like to know best way to create .nwf file from excel file for creating cabling through logical data.
After a month of experimenting and testing stability for PTC Creo, I would like to share my solution that will allow you to freely run PTC Creo on your Mac 😊Tested Requirements:These are the requirements that I have personally tested, any other version/device may not work similarly.Tested VMware Fusion Version: 13.6.4Tested 64-bit ARM Windows 11 build: 26100.4349Tested Mac Devices: Mac Mini M4 (24GB RAM), MacBook PRO M1 Pro, MacBook Pro M4 Pro, MacBook Air M3.Tested Creo Releases: Creo 10, Creo 12Tested MacOS Operating System: Tahoe 26.0.1Installation Steps:Download the latest 64-bit ARM Windows 11 build, or better, the one I listed. I sincerely recommend CrystalFetch app (it's free) for getting the ISO file. Create a new Virtual Machine on VMWare Fusion with the previous ISO.Install your Windows operating system, update it, configure it to your liking, etc...Make sure that in your VMWare settings you have enabled the following:1) Settings -> Display -> Accelerate 3D G
I have been trying to follow some previous discussions on creating a tube profile, but haven't had any luck: https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Creo-4-0-Framework-custom-tube-profiles/m-p/675536 https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r7.0/usascii/#page/advanced_framework/About_Saving_Advanced_Framework_Customizations_Outside_Installation_Directory.html# Following the instructions, I have copied the customization folder to a network drive, however I noticed that the customization folder did not contain the three sub directories (*see attached) as mentioned in the instructions--they were separate. I tried dropping them into the Custom folder on my local copy. After making a copy I tried two things: 1.)making a new folder directory and then copying and editing an existing profile2.) adding a size to an existing profile neither has worked. I have mapped the customization folder in the afx options with no luck. I have also tried
Hello, is there any possibility to read files from network drives? try { print(readFileAsString("\\\\10.170.84.24\\Standard\\ProE_standard\\Relace\\Relace PRT.txt")); } catch (e) { print("FAILED: " + e); } I need to read fresh relations so all models actual relations. The only one place in our company provides relations is network drive.
Hi, Can someone help me to create a relation in a bom to change a parameter to another number for cage_code? I have something at the bottom of the relation in the bom table that is obviously incorrect. I have attached a simple drawing in creo 8. If you can perform the task and return to me then I will understand how it is done. Should only take a guru less than 5 minutes. Wayne
I am using Creo Parametric Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.3.0I used CREO Distributed Batch to run DXF export mapkey task but keep failing, I've confirmed there is no any Creo launch initialization dialog box pop-up when running CREO client and I tried both default export task type and my mapkey they all failed. I don't see any log file generated. I ran my mapkey manually and it did work successfully
When zoomed into my model, I am noticing significant lag when panning, rotating, and trying to sketch. I did not see this issue previously when using 11. I updated to 12 due to an update of my graphics card but I am still editing a file created in 11. I haven't used Creo in a while, but I don't remember it being like this. The image shows how far away my sketch cursor is from my mouse. After a bit the sketch cursor catches up. Is this behavior normal?
Hello,I need to hide solid welds in a drawing while keeping the weld symbols visible. Can this be controlled using layer settings?Any guidance would be appreciated.
Questions, questions, questions...no answers. PTC just sucks.

I'm trying to simplify a model and I'm not sure how far to go or how much it is worth my time. I'd like to know if there is a way to analyze how my simplification of a part or assembly affects the graphical performance. For example if I take out the inner surface of all the tubes is that better than simply focusing on removing the holes. If there was a way to create an analysis that tells me you model has ___ number of faces that might go a long way with knowing how my different simplification methods are improving model performance. That or if there was a way to do an analysis that say your model is using ___ GPU memory.Does anyone from the community know how to do such an analysis?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.5.0We are unable to open either the VW AG add-on or the Audi add-on (version: 15000100). The standard Creo version (version 11.05.0) is functioning correctly. The two supplier add-ons cannot be started. The Creo version was successfully checked and approved during the add-on installation. This is a Java error. A higher and compatible Java version (Amazon Coretto) is installed. Here are the errors that I faced"Wrong Java Runtime Environment! The defined command "C:Volkswagen\Volkswagen\VWAG_CreoParametric_15000100\app\vw_tools\vw_tools\1.6.2.0\java\x86e_win64\jdk\bin\java.exe" shows version denied.Required ist Java Platform Standard Edition 17 x64 version 17.0.15 or higher. OpenJDK Amazon Corretto 17 x 64 can be used as well."
In Creo Mechanism (MDO) motion simulation,I would like to use different spring constants for the loading and unloading (return) directions, in order to represent spring hysteresis. Is there any way to simulate this behavior in MDO?If not directly supported, what is the recommended workaround?
Hola -Longtime Creo/WF/ProE user (2000i2). Having an issue with fit tolerances using the tables. I've configured both the part and drawing to use the tables. Problem example:I have a 20mm shaft for a bearing; recommended shaft fit is h6. For a 20mm dia, h6 is:+0-13. In inches, that is + 0, -0.0005". So the drawing should show 0.7874/0.7869 if I show limits. I set the diameter to nominal, 0.7874. I apply an h6 tolerance. If is specify plus/minus, the dimension appears at 0.7874 + 0.0000 / -0.0005 (perfect!)If I show 'limits', it changes to the nominal 0.7871 and then applies the -.0005 to that, so 0.7866. This is wrong. What am I doing wrong? TIA
I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.9.0With CREO 4.0 we developed a script for sustitution of failed components in assembly. With CREO 9.0 this script returns the following message in std.out:"Attempted use of deprecated config option 'regen_failure_handling' was blocked." even if in config.pro the option regen_failure_handling no_resolve_mode doesn't returns error in the configuration interface. In document CS260154 I've read that an authorization code is needed to make the VBA script working. For the future we are working on a different solution, but at present we are in need of help. Can you help us?Thank you. Here are the errors that I facedAttempted use of deprecated config option 'regen_failure_handling' was blocked

Hi Community, 🙂I am new in this forum.I have medium experience in Creo Parametric (version 8 ) and have made a lot of 3D and 2D drawings.I will soon get version 12. The reason I am writing in here is that I have just begun my path into advanced surface modelling and that is a steep learning curve. I have attached a render picture of what I am trying to create (made by a friend in Rhino), pictures of my sketches I have made, and pictures of my best result with and without surface analysis. What I am trying to do is to make a surface between the different sketches but no matter what I do, it is either failing, or the surface quality is bad using analysis. I have used several techniques, and I have also tried to use the Style feature. What I Hope is that you can help to me learn how to do this geometry with a good quality surface. I know I am missing some features, steps or adjustments in order to do this right, but at the moment I have hit a wall with my experie
