Using the spiral tool and the threat geometry from the standard. In addition to that start and end of the thread are always not realistic.
Hello, I'm currently working on Excel macro that connects to current session (drawing) and extracts data.I managed to get it so far that it extracts dimensions (names and value) but i just can't get a correct procedure to get the dimensions upper and lower tolerance. The only thing i was able to obtain is tolerance type with ipfcdimension2D.GetTolerance(). Is there a method to get upper and lower tolerance somehow? Greatly appreciate the answer!Klemen
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.2.0I am working on MBD models. I have predefined combination states in Start templates. We kept those states off from view manager. I have 1_Map combination state where it contains hyperlinks of other combination states to navigate through others. If I want to navigate through other states from 1_Map when other states are still off, then Creo is getting freeze. Please help to resolve this.
Hello. I am trying to make a drawing table for weld information that has all of the weld information for the entire assembly including sub-assemblies. When I create the table in the main assembly the table is only populating the information from that main assembly and not the sub-assemblies. Any help on how I can accomplish this would be appreciated. Attached is a pic of what I got. Notice the annotations are there for all of the welds but the table only has the 10 welds from the main assembly. there is also duplicate IDs due to the sub-assembly welds. ThanksJoe
Hi, Is there a way to control the number decimal places of Creo default bend note angle and bend radius through config or detail files instead changing them manually one by one? please assist. Refer attached image for the targeted bend note (our current standard). Bend Radius with 3 decimal and angle with Zero decimals.
There is no way to check node ids for meshes that are not in FEM mode. When I output the results of modal analysis in ASCII, the node IDs and mode vectors in the XYZ directions are output, but there is no way to confirm where these node IDs point in the model. (Mechanica had a way to check) Isn't it strange that CreoSimulate can't do what Mechanica does? What is the meaning of output files of modal analysis results such as ~.d01 and ~d.02?
Good afternoon. Hoping for some help to resolve this. When I am using the model weld annotations in the drawing, they have the leader line right through the center of the text as well as overlapping text. The annotation looks fine on the model. I assume this is a drawing property setting but I have been through them all and can't figure it out. Picture attached. Appreciate any help. Joe
So, I'm working on a drawing in Creo 6.0, and I've hidden all of the datum tags that were not attached to a GDT in a layer. However, they still appear when I open the latest published version of the drawing in Creo View. How can I get these datum tags that are hidden in a layer to not appear in Creo View as well?
I am a bit new to skeletons but my idea was to do an outline of my assembly in my skeleton and then use a copy geometry feature to bring the whole skeleton into my part so that I can use the surfaces as references for solid geometries. But, it does not let me finish the copy geometry feature, if I select to copy all surfaces (it only lets me finish if I select specific surfaces). So I wanted to ask what the proper way to copy all surfaces using a copy geometry is? Is bringing the whole skeleton into your model how one would do it? Thanks for any replies!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 7.0 and Datecode7.0.9.0Fluid simulation study is grayed out. I built an assembly model of a packaging concept (basically bunch of boxes and their size is still to be "optimized"). This model has several flexible components that are in themselves assemblies of flexible components (boxes within boxes). My problem is that Creo never retrieves the top assembly "as I saved it". Things look good, there is no need to regenerate and the sketches in the components that have text objects that display the size of the boxes have the correct values. After I save and open this model, the system 1st regenerates it, then after that, the "need to regenerate" icon is active. And only after the 2nd regeneration, the models look right. Is there a setting that would prevent this from happening or is this just how "flexible" models are supposed to work? This sheds some lights as why the use of flexible models is discouraged in our company. I dug up this thread - Has anyone studied the effect of numerous flexible com
I have many family tables of hardware items designed in a system that is standalone and had to go through hoops to get the spreadsheet exported from excel moved to this system. I then have to rebuild my master CAD model of the parts and put the columns needed into a blank family table. In Creo 4, I was able to cut and past the data from the exported .csv file into the family table, save it and then verify the instances with no issues. Now on Creo 7, I do the import and the spreadsheet turns yellow background and when saved the family table is empty. Open the Excel editor and all of the data is there. It just won't update the Creo file data. Any suggestions before I open a helpdesk call?
Hello All!Have a great day. Please help me find a step-by-step all modules tutorials (PDF/Video) library?
Hello PTC community,I have the following problems: I want to import data via STEP. The import does not cause me any problems, only after the import there are always too many sub-assemblies that I do not want to have. Is there any way in Creo to eliminate these "intermediate assemblies" (See pictures). Are there any special import profiles? I would appreciate any suggestions and tips. Many thanks in advance.
Hi everyone, I am creating VPN so that i can access PTC- Creo licence sever (in a sever Computer at offiice) from other internet. But it not totally success as i want. If we are using the same network (wifi or wired) with sever computer, everything works fine (already add exception for in-bound and out-bound port 7788). Then we want to work remotely -> need to create VPN so that we can access to the license sever from outside. I created a VPN following this website: https://www.draytek.com/support/knowledge-base/5330I connected to the office network successfully via VPN, but when i open Creo, it shows error: license cannot found. I ask support from supplier, then they suggest to turn off all firewall for both sever computer and user's computer as the picture below. Then i open the Creo successfully, they are not support me anymore after that What should i do next to access to the license sever without turn off these firewall? It is so dangerous when tur
Hey, Is there a way to change to the basic element names in AFX? I know there is element_name.txt, but that also use the ELEMENT_NAME but I want to change that. Thank you!
Using Move By Dimension in Flexible Modelling to adjust in Y direction causes dimension value changes in X direction in Creo Parametric.-----------There's a bug in the move function.if you look at the sketch it shows one hole that is moved by the 'move' in the tree above. The move is dimension driven and moves the hole from 40 to 49mm away from the bottom face. The feature also moves the hole a tiny distance parallel with the face, which it should not.You can see this by opening the sketch with the move suppressed and again with the move active, as shown in the two jpegs.
I am trying to create a solid model with extrusion. I need to create a sketch first and then extrude. Is it possible using VB Api alone? If yes, what are the objects I need to use? Is there a object for creating sketches?
I have got a Macbook Air, I downloaded "Paralells" a windows emulation. Then I downloaded Creo 5.0 on windows and it crashes as I open it.Mathcad works fine.(I got a students license)When I open it, the blue loading circle spins for like 2 seconds, then it crashes pls help me to solve the problem
Is there any way to add SKF library to CREO?
Hello everyone, I am using an .xml to get information from Schematic into Parametric and after that to project it via HMX into drawing. I am struggling to get the information regarding signals and terminators. I am able to import terminator table in CSV format into schematics, but it won't show in parametric neither in drawing. Regarding signals I'm not even able to import CSV table - there is info that design in not matching information....I tried to use different global parameters to match it, but nothing works..... Is there a way how to import signal and terminator data in schematics so it will load in parametric and in drawing? What are the important global parameters which should I follow when creating CSV files so it will load without issues? I'm just learning with this program, so some screenshot with possible solution will be really really helpful. Schematics 7.0.0.0Parametric 7.0HMX advanced
The "Seed & Boundary" (was Surf & Bound) is great functionality. Where did it go for selecting surfaces to apply appearance? I use "Seed & Boundary" to select surface for model actions like copy surf. I know how to use "Shift" for that. The same technique won't work for selecting surfaces in appearances. Hoping someone can tell me how. Did they take it out? Or is it just buried in the mountain of inconsistencies? Now it seems like you have to go in and carefully select all the (maybe 100's) of little surfaces manually one by one. Please tell me what I'm missing. Thank you.
Hi all,Is there anyway that all the existing instances in a family table can be deleted without having to open up each generic prt in Creo? Thanks
Hello, We are working on MBD implementation in our organization. We have created start templates to work with MBD strategy which has predefined combination states present in it.There are some default combination states which we want to lock those so that no one can delete the combination state and no one can edit the name of the combination state. Do we have any config setting or any option within Creo functionality so that we can lock those comb states? Please share any article if there is available
Hi Is there any easy way to create the NPT external Thread something similar to Internal thread just by selecting the hole location? currently we are creating the cut for the thread major dia and adding cosmetics for the pitch and minor dia. manually - we are making repetitive mistakes due to manual process. i'm using Creo 7.0.9.0
