Hi Is there any easy way to create the NPT external Thread something similar to Internal thread just by selecting the hole location? currently we are creating the cut for the thread major dia and adding cosmetics for the pitch and minor dia. manually - we are making repetitive mistakes due to manual process. i'm using Creo 7.0.9.0
Hello I am preparing a template, in which i want to define a parameter for "Date" i.e 'Created Date" and "Modified Date" The "Created date" will be unchanged even after n number of updates, so i used a parameter "&todays_date". But problem comes for the "Modified Date", which needs to be updated for every revision of drawing updated, So for that i used "PTC_WM_MODIFIED_ON" (a parameter already available by default in <Tools>-- <Parameters> With this parameter i get Date and Time together, but i want date only. Please see the attachment for clear understanding of my question. Thank You Regards Sumeet
I'm trying to find the Ansys Simulation license but I'm not finding it in License Management, could someone help me where this is. Sorry where to find [ Help ]PTC Software Download
I have a list of ~500 part numbers in Microsoft Excel, which I need to document the volume of. Is there a way I can have Creo Parametric use the part number list in Excel to open the parts from Windchill, measure the volume and write the volume in the Excel file?
My Ctrl+Z on creo7.0 is not working, it stays grayed out and does not allow me to undo any steps.
I created an offset section view that basically cutoff the top and front of my model to show the inside but when I go to make the drawings either the top or front is showing. It only cuts off one either font or top and shows the other but in the model it is working perfectly and there are no errors. Is there a step I am missing when I create a view?
I am an engineer. The specialized field is a machine and electric design. I suggested a patent about the hand device of the robot recently. I want to ask an evaluation of this suggestion. The attached files are the summary of the hand device and an animation of one finger.
The EZ tolerance stack up table displays a message "calculated results are ignoring potentially significant 3D effects" and the RSS value is wrong when the hole and pin with clearance features involves in the 3D model for stack analysis.

I am trying to extrude a .1250 radius circle and it keeps turning into a hexagon. How can I fix this ?
I installed Creo Parametric as a trial. I have since received a training license, and have installed the license manager and applied the license. I reconfigured Creo to use 7788@caeepc003, which is the hostname of the machine where the license is installed. When I try to use the simulation functionality, I get the following message. There are some analysis/design studies in the model that require Basic Creo Simulate license. Please contact your sales representative. If I run ptcstatus I get the following.C:\Program Files\PTC\FLEXnet Admin License Server>bin\ptcstatus.batDisplaying status for license file: C:\Program Files\PTC\FLEXnet Admin License Server\bin\..\licensing\license.datLicense Server is UP: C:\Program Files\PTC\FLEXnet Admin License Server\bin\..\licensing\license.datptc_d FLEXnet Publisher version: 11.17License In Use Free------- ------ ----PROE_DesignEssH Uncounted, LockedPROE_DesignEssH Uncounted, LockedMECELITEENG_License Uncounted, LockedMECELITEENG_License Uncounted
Hi, is there a manner to drawing same fillet radiuses while sketching, without use relations between dimensions?Best regards Michele Barile
I have used the technique from the answer video posted here https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Is-there-an-easy-way-to-insert-fasteners-when-you-are-finished/m-p/816132 a lot when working with axis patterns where you have a lot of holes in a circle. I have used it with skeletons instead of multibodies though, because I do not have multibody functionality. So I would create a point in a sketch inside of the skeletonand then create an axis pattern on it using the standard axis which is perpendicular to the sketch plane, so that the model tree of my skeleton and my assembly looks like this:If I want to create different parts that use this pattern, I can create a new part within the assembly, leave it with arbitrary constraints, open it in a new window and create a copy geometry of the pattern leading point. Then I do a pattern, and it automatically creates a reference pattern. Next, I can create holes on top of the pattern leader and create a reference pattern as describ
I have gone into File -> Prepare -> Drawing Properties -> Detail Options then Drawing_Units and it is in Inches, the model is also in Inches but whenever I create dimensions for the drawings they are in mm. I have changed mm to inches everywhere and closed and restarted Creo and even made new views but the dimensions will not change from mm to inches. Any help would really be appreciated,Thanks
I am using Creo Parametric Release 3.0 and DatecodeM090When I try and do anything in Creo such as opening a drawing, creating a dimension, editing a table, etc. the program crashes and I get a pop up dialog box that says "Fatal Error". Other engineers are able to open, check in/out and save the same models so I know it's not directly related to the model. I have tried deleting my workspace and creating a new one but still no luck. This is currently preventing me from doing my work so please let me know any potential solutions available.I have already:- updated my graphics drivers- used a new computer- used a new Windchill account- Cleared all cache- Added "enable_opengl_fbo no" to the confic.pro file (this helped for a little while but then stopped working)- Used someone else's config file who has Creo workingHere are the errors that I faced-------------------------------------------------The trace creation timestamp is: Mon Feb 27 09:36:49 23The executable build timestamp is: Thu Mar
Hey Creo gurus, What is your best method to copy - move a surface (or quilt) from a CSYS location to another? Copy - Paste Special - Transformation only allows one DOF at a time. I want to just select an original and new CSYS to place a copy of this surface from CS0 to CS1.
I'm using custom NPT thread for my one of my design. is there a way to change the standard thread depth/length to custom value ? pls. assist.
so i just replaced a outdates part with something new that wasn't "relate" in creo now all the coordinates I made that referenced to the old part are still "working" but they are locked and im unable to redefine them. when I select the edit it shows the old reference with a yellow circle saying access locked and the reference is not found. I'm not sure how to fix this I've tried changing the path or forcing a redefine but it doesn't work. and i cant select anything different either.
When I double-clik in the value (dimension), I do not mange to modify it.thank for your response. Kindest regards
Trying to do a pipe array through the holes in petrol_intake_case_1 but once the sweeping is defined the solid seems to be interfering with something.
Hi , In Creo 4.0 M140 , there is command called "Move to view " which is used to move an annotation from one view to another view , I have do this using API & I m using ProToolkit , Please help me out with solution Regards,Kunal
I am using Creo Parametric Release 2.0 and DatecodeM020Hello,When we are using CCX analysis and importing an excel spreadsheet, it fails on some of the laptops. Could you please advise what can the the reason?See attached sceenshot for more details.
I have tried many times the steps mentioned in this post - https://community.ptc.com/t5/Customization/Example-of-CreateSelectionFromString/m-p/84160#M163But I can't do it. Can you explain it in detail? Thank you.
Hi,The option Repeat Region>fix/unfix index (rpt.index) in Assembly.drw, which is used to sort the components in the desired order in the BOM table, at least for me, is quite awkward (click, write part number, confirmation) and so successively for every row of the table, i.e. every component in Assembly.asm, and at the same time make sure that you write the exact number that corresponds with the number at each "fix index", i.e. the value of the PART_NUMBER parameter, which is already previously set for each component - Part1.prt, Part2.prt, Part3.prt... during 3D modeling. That's why I ask - is there any way (perhaps with the help of some relations, some script, etc.), that in Assembly.drw, rpt.index gets the value of the parameter (PART_NUMBER) for each part/component of the assembly (automatic fix index)?P.S. Option Repeat Region>Sort Region by parameter PART_NUMBER i.e. &asm.mbr.part_number Forward, does not completely suit me for some reasons. Thank you.
Hi, I referred to CS80810 to create a Flat-To-Screen Note."TOOLKIT for 3D Drawings" license is required. Can't I make a Flat-To-Screen Note without a "TOOLKIT for 3D Drawings" license? Thanks, Warm Regards, SeonHoCHA
