Creo 7.09; I am not able to provide the model for inspection. Can anyone offer any insight into how to get this round to regenerate? The solid surfaces involved are all planar or cylindrical. I am hoping someone can suggest what to look for when this is happening. The model has no geometry checks and has absolute accuracy set. Rolling ball and spinal options fail, variable round fails. Surface round will regenerate but cannot be solidified and has transitions that are not consistent with the solid geometry needed. The surface round produces the same error when attempting to solidify the quilt. You can see below in the image that it is curling back on itself and not following the edge selected for round to be applied to.
Hello, In a VB program, I use the method "ListDependencies()" on an IpfcModel (an assembly in my case) to get all the components. That works fine but that also provide all other dependencies like external references for example. Is there a way to know which kind of dependency is, and sort only components of my assembly and not other dependencies? Thank you for your helpRegardsThierry.
Hello everyone, years ago using Creo2, i was able to use JLINK, now that I switched to Creo 9.0.2.0 I don't even know how to install it.From the installation setup of Creo 9.0.2.0 I can't even find it.I tried to install all the setup "Toolkit API" options, but in the Creo 9.0.2.0 installation folder I can't find any "jlink" directory. Can anyone help me, I'm a beginner.Thank you.
Dear community,my question is if from Creo (we're currently on Creo 7) is possible to create a shrinkwrap that starts shrikwrapping parts from, for example, the level 3 of the tree? The purpose is to then deliver a light model in a 3D navigator where you start from a very lightweight model and then if there's the need to navigate deeper the asm of the shrinkwrap will be downloaded on demand. We're ok with the navigator but we're still having issued getting a shrinkwrap like this. Our models are very big and we can't make shrinkwraps of sub parts manually. ThanksBR
Good morning,I know that I can find the session id of a component in the Relations window. What I don't know is, if I know the session id, how do I find the component it refers to?Say I click on a note that includes a parameter, and I see that it reads'NUMBER OF WIDGETS = &NO_OF_WIDGETS:220'How do I find out which component has session id 220?Random stabbing is the best I can come up with so far, but that is no good if the component is a sub-assembly.Any ideas? Thanks,JohnJohn Wayman, C.Eng, FIEDSenior Mechanical Engineer
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.5.0Save a copy of assembly with selected child parts getting renamed.has to provide users to choose child - components either reuse or save a copy.

For a very long time, we used to be able to explode a custom symbol into its parts within a drawing. Can we still do this in Creo 7 and later?

I am using Creo Parametric Release N/A and DatecodeN/AI would appreciate if you could please clarify the following for me about DHandles (pro_model_item in particular). Does the pointer to a DHandle remain in memory, while the model it refers to remains in memory? For example when I use the ProSolidBodiesCollect function i.e, ProSolidBody* bodies{ nullptr };ProSolidBodiesCollect(proMdl) &bodies)t* o_body_num; ProArraySizeGet(bodies, o_body_num); will the memory addresses for the bodies I get as output remain valid during a session? What I see is that I can actually copy the addresses and use them elsewhere in my code. Is this accidental? When I call the same function again I get different addresses for the bodies though, so if the addresses remain valid do I keep opening new DHandles by calling the function multiple times? Should I be closing them and if so, which function should I use to do so? Thanks a lot
I have two revolve features one currently on and the other off. The first angle dimension below has the round dimension grayed out so I cannot change the precision. The second angle dimension (on a currently hidden feture) does not. How can I change the first one so it can be edited. This is a part with a family table so I'd prefer not to delete it and re-add it if possible. Thanks, Dale
When I export a formula-based lattice (e.g. - diamond TPMS) as an STL, there seems to be a gap between the lattice structure and the shell. Have you seen this with other users? Thanks,Thomas
I want to know which customers are using CREO CSL and how where can I find CSL use cases? Or, if you have a document, please share it.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.0.0The single sign-on is abnormal, the web page can log in normally, but the Creo side needs to re-authenticate every time
Product: PTC Creo Parametric 9.0 Student Version I was reading the help about surfaces with the "STYLE" tool, but I don't get to understand the difference between triangular boundary surface, quadrangular boundary and trimmed rectangle. It is help there are not enough examples to be able to understand it. The page where I found that is: https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r9.0/spanish/index.html#page/surfacing/style/Defining_Surfaces.html# Nor is it clear what the Trimmed Rectangle option is for, which explains point 5 on the following page: https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/r9.0/spanish/index.html#page/surfacing/style/Defining_Surfaces.html# I would appreciate it if you could clarify my doubt. Hi all, I have a UDF that is a sketched hole. All I am trying to do is edit the sketch to change the angle from 60 degrees to 65 degrees. How can I modify this sketch? I know I can modify it on the fly, but I want to revise this UDF so when other people use it they don't have to modify the dimension on the fly. When I go into the UDF Library and choose modify, there is no way for me to modify the original sketch. Also, I can't add the 60 degrees as a dimension on the family table.
I am using Expert Moldbase Extension Release 14.0 and Datecode14.0.0.0Unable to open Creo with EMX extension. I get the following error messages:"Creo Agent did not initialize correctly. Please contact Technical Support if the issue persists."And:"Unable to start application 'EMX' due to failure in starting Creo Platform Agent."Here are the errors that I faced"Creo Agent did not initialize correctly. Please contact Technical Support if the issue persists.""Unable to start application 'EMX' due to failure in starting Creo Platform Agent."
I have this same issue. My computer died, I followed the links https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp & https://www.ptc.com/en/success-paths/upgrade-your-creo-parametric/setup/download-and-install-creo and went through the installation on my new computer. However, during installation it gave me an error when I put in my SON. I went through the installation without licensing and put the license file in the PTC folder like this: c:\ptc\license.dat. After launching creo I get a license error. I think because I have a node locked license. But service won't help at all because I dont a have maintenance subscription. I paid for a permanent license so I feel like this is some sort of illegal loophole they have going. I'm assuming I need them to release the license from my dead computer so I can activate it on my new computer. Any ideas? I downloaded my license again from my PTC login but still no luck.
Hola, since PTC offer Home user Creo license program for personal use I am curious why doesn't support Windows Home editions as well? There is official support for Windows Pro or Entrerprise only but many users have installed Win Home on personal computers. Anyone tested Win 10 Home with Creo?My experience with Creo 6.0 on Windows 10 Home is one big fail so users with Home Win edition are probably disqualified...
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0We have a business configuration and Winchill as PLM (PDM). In our configuration we point to our libraries (our libraries are on windchill). We have, for example, libraries for our drawing template. But when I create a new drawing care don't reach the libraries we ask in the configuration, we reach the standard PTC libraries. This issue starts one day with no explication, I'm the only user who has this issue and we tried some re-install and install on an other computer but nothing change.
Creo View is displaying a narrow font when viewing a drawing that was exported as CGM format. The native dwg from Creo Parametric and Catia displays the font correctly before exporting as CGM. Is there a setting in Creo View that converts or shows the correct/native font when viewing the drawing?
Hello, What would be the best way to get the inheritance part number into a drawing. I am using creo with windchill My scenario is that i would like to be able to refer to this in a drawing automatically, i have been trying to see if there was a method with the parameters but when i create the inheritance feature, the file name is the only thing i can refer to, which the file name and PN do not always match.
