Creo+ and Creo Parametric

We have started to explore the Framework add in with creo.  We noticed that the 8020 library is missing a LOT of sizes and components.  Is this actively updated?  Is it our responsibility to add in the additional sizes and components to meet our needs beyond the basics that is available? Thanks

 Q1 how to create new profile in creo 8 and saved to libraries?Q2 I had selected rose krieger profile and Bosh profile but in creo, It showed as a rectangular tube with hole in it. how to get the actual visualization? why is that happening?   

Hi Community, we are currently thinking about adding some more t-slotted profiles to the advanced framework extension and are wondering what you are using in you designs.  Currently we offer the following manufacturers: Bosch Item Kanya Maytec Minitec Rose+Krieger Frameworld INCH 8020 INCH Controlled Dynamics Do you miss anything in this list and also if you are using the mentioned libraries already are there profiles missing that you would like to have in a future release?   Any feedback is welcome.   Greetings Sam

I’m looking for a solution to build a Configurable Product in Creo that includes a mechanism.Here’s the scenario:I have a rail mechanism with variable length.When a specific variant (length) is selected, I want the linear motion to be limited according to that selected length.What I’ve tried so far:I created a Motion Skeleton inside the Configurable Product.The rail module was connected to the first body of the Motion Skeleton.The cradle module was connected to the second body of the Motion Skeleton.I was able to build variants using Variant Builder, but the problem is:The cradle’s position is driven by the Motion Skeleton.Changing the rail module length does not affect the motion range, so the cradle runs out of short rails.To fix this, I moved the Motion Skeleton into a new module to build different lengths.However, the Assign Choices function doesn’t work (red icon appears, and I can’t check the checkbox for length).Question:Has anyone successfully built a configurable assembly that

I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.0 Modelcheck is not running properly. i have the files setup. (config_init.mc... and others). i have also enabled modelcheck in the config edit as well that the Modelcheck_dir. I have also enable show_reports. (see attached pic).  When I run Modelcheck interactive, it completes the process but does not display the modelcheck screen.   I

Do you have to produce design data (2D Drawing, MBD packages, etc.) that supports a mix of suppliers where some want ISO/DIN standard GD&T and others want ASME/ANSI standard GD&T?  This question came up from a team at our European division that is working between Creo Parametric and Windchill and NX and Teamcenter.I had always thought the standard was up to the company creating the content, with some understanding given to the typical standard for the majority of the suppliers being used.  Any suppliers for whom this isn't their norm would still have to follow the called out standard.We would be curious to hear if anyone is providing content that covers both standards as part of normal process, and how (overview) you do it.

I have creo 9.0.5. I'm trying to export a .dxf file so that i can import it into my plasma table software (torchmate V9). The problem is when I go to import it into torchmate, nothing shows up. A long time ago Creo support helped me change some export settings and we got it to work but I've forgotten since then. Any ideas?

Creo Parametric 4-12. Mold design/Casting application of shrink by scale for anisotropic shrink.   When applying a shrink by scale feature a reference csys is used to apply the shrink. Can anyone offer some insight into how/why the selection of this csys is important? What are the criteria that should be used to determine the "best" csys for use with anisotropic shrink applied to a design part (reference model). Can anyone offer best practices based on theory or practical experience? I am focused on injection molded polymers in this context if that matters. I would default to the use of a csys located by determining the centroid of the reference part being shrunk, but this is an educated guess.  

I am using Creo Parametric Release 12.4 and Datecode12.4.2.0Hello,We are encountering a problem when creating the .bom file. The .bom file is created, but it is limited to 2-3 characters, whereas we need more characters in this .bom file. We would like to avoid having to modify it manually each time, but rather have it allow more basic characters. Is there a configuration that allows us to do this?Thank you in advance,Best regards,

We have been seeing a new icon in the upper right corner of Creo 10.0.7.0 at different times.  Never seen it before.  Nothing in session this time.

I recently has some symbols in drawings change. Some are missing. Then I noticed that the Dimension Text Symbol Pallet has changed. I frequently disconnect and reconnect to our network when i bring my laptop into conference rooms for meetings. Creo often gets stuck with popups on top of popups (unsaved data warning, license lost, and Windchill server unavailable). I am forced to restart because I cannot select the "retry" option on the license lost dialog as its covered by another popup that can't be moved. Is there a way to get around this?

We are actively moving to SharePoint data storage. Can assembly be organized with Parts in multiple folders / Multiple access users working on different parts of an ASSEMBLY. Assembly Regenerate should update the assembly with latest in SharePoint folders.  

hello all, i am using the simple repeat region method to create a family table in my assembly drawing.because of this i am using filters such as "&fam.inst.param.name == xxxxx" however, in my assembly, i have the same part file copy pasted 4 times (they make a square within my assy) and each instance of the assy has different instances of that part file. ex:assy-1 has part-A, part-B, part-A, part-Bassy-2 has part-C, part-D, part-C, part-Dassy-3 has part-E, part-F, part-E, part-Fassy-4 has part-G, part-H, part-G, part-H so if you notice, they have basically a top/bottom and side/side of the square for each assy instance.when i use the 2-d family table it comes out correct, looking like the example but in table form, but i want to use the simple table because i want to change the top row names. when i apply the filter like always, because the part file is named the same for all instances possible, i end up getting ALL 16 of the part instances for each compone

My mirror features in my sheet metal is not updating when I move my cutout in the sketcher. I noticed that there are plenty of threads mentioning mirrors not working, but what is the solution? is there a config file line that I am missing?

I have installed Creo 12 successfully on 2 machines but on one of the machines I get the errors below and the browser fails to work. Presumably the errors below is because the browser is not working.   Things I have tried already: Removed all config / UI files (Vanilla install) Reinstalled using an install script that worked on the same hardware Deleted the Creo Agent and Platform folders and replaced with folders from a known working install Performed a Windows Control Panel > Apps >PTC Creo 12 Platform Services > Modify > Repair I have Creo 9.0.9.0, Creo 12.4.0.0 and Creo 12.4.2.0 installed. Creo 12.4.2 works fine as far as I can tell other than the internal browser not working, but I do need it to be working.   Any other suggestions? This happened one other time and I had to reimage which I am really trying to avoid.

Hi, I am trying to select multiple references (2 a surface and an edge of a part) when creating a datum plane. For some reason holding CTRL while selecting them doesn't work. I can select one or the either and it turns green but when I hold ctrl the surface turns orange for a sec but doesn't select. Could this be because I am using VMware Fusion on my Mac laptop. Is there a work around that I can do? I need to have two references to add a rotational offset for this plane. please help.  Thanks

Hi EveryoneI am using two separate detail files for two different config options:drawing_setup_file format_setup_fileWhen I create a new drawing, I get the following error in the Message Log:Error(s) in C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 11.0\custom\ISO-prt-asm.dtl. See datafile.ers.  In datafile_error.txt, the error is:ERROR - C:\Program Files\PTC\Creo 11.0\custom\ISO-prt-asm.dtl, line 2: Invalid value 'CALCULATED' for keyword 'text_height'.Note:Both detail files contain the same config option text_height.In ISO-prt-asm.dtl (used as drawing_setup_file), the entry is:text_height CALCULATED (Causing an error)In ISO-frm-prt-asm.dtl (used as format_setup_file), the entry is:text_height 3.5 (Not causing an error) OBSERVATION:If I changed the value of "text_height" from 3.5 to "CALCULATED", ISO-frm-prt-asm.dtl file is also making an same error I mentioned above. Software: Creo Parametric 11 Can Someone help me on this? Thanks.
