As per this thread - new question:   Has this issue been resolved in Creo Parametric 8.0?

Hello, fellow CAD enthusiasts!I recently started working as a CAD Administrator (if two months ago counts as recent). They hired me for my Reliable work ethic, and my can do attitude, and not (I repeat, NOT) for my skills within Creo. And so I've come to you all in a great time of need. Here's what I'm hoping to do: Using Tables within a drawing, I want to find a way to automatically display what .prt the active model was copied from (if any). I'm doing this as a special request from our machine shop, who confided in me that every time they have to create one of our engineered parts for the first time, they end up having to reconstruct all of their tooling code, which wastes so, so much time! So what do you say? would you happen to know a thing or two about how we could make this happen?Thank you everyone.

Hello Have four j-link synchronize apps developed in creo 2. Went to Creo 6 from Creo 2. Recompiled using the OTK.jar with java 6. Worked with no problem. With Creo 8 they failed to start. Recompiled the apps with Java 8 with the OTK.jar from creo 8. Still does not work they fail to start. Compiled install_test this app will not start.. The config in the folder otk_java_appls\install_test has this config "regen_failure_handling resolve_mode" is this needed? this config setting "jlink_java_command C:\Program Files\Java\jdk1.8.0_333\jre\bin\java.exe" does not seam to do anything. Do not have it in my Creo 6 and it works. Peter

Hey guys, I'm on Creo Parametric 6.0 and I'm would like to know where can I disable the perpendicularity when I place bubbles in drawings. As you can see below, there is the perpendicularity symbol showing up which makes the placement harder.Thanks in advance.

Hello everyone,in the sheet of a material it is possible to associate one or more coloring aspects to it.Trivial to create them, modify them and set which one should be the default, but I have not found any way to delete them!Can you tell me how they can be eliminated?P.S. I use creo 9.0.0.0

We recently upgraded from Creo 8.0.1.0 using EMX 14.0.0.0 to Creo 9.0.1.0 which uses EMX 15.0.0.0.  Creo 9 loads ok and launches EMX 15 BUT when in the options for EMX 15 it seems to still be referencing the EMX 14 configurations and settings. Any thoughts on how to fix this?

Hi, What I'm trying to do is:use a single dependent node linked to one or more surfaces with a rigid constraint, to enable a set of displacement constraints (or freedoms, or prescribed displacements) at the dependent node, for use with boundary constraints or guided movements in large deformation nonlinear analysis. The specific application is for calculating plastic force-displacement characteristics.the same, but with weighted links, for cases where I don't want to overly constrain components around the constraintAre either of these things possible in a nonlinear large deformation analysis? What are the workarounds I need to do? I'm aware of the workaround using a spring or beam for Creo Simulate's limitation of not being able to apply a constraint to the dependent node of a weighted link as described here: Rigid link versus weighted link - PTC Community  However I've found that if I try to use a beam or a spring in a nonlinear large deformation analysis

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 9.0 (connected) Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0As we are authorised reseller for PTC .Recently we have notice that after installation of creo 9.0 , there is some issue with network licence services .Our 3-4 client have continuous problem with network licence services., The services is getting stop we have also tried delayed service and automatic service start and stop.But services is still getting killed . In some case we also completely re installed the system ptc and also formatted the system but still no change .We have also log few compliant with support but in long run the it doesn't help ...Can you please suggest something permenent.

In Excel, Word, Chrome, .... to move between tabs, you just use Ctrl-PageUp and Ctrl-PageDown. Is there something similar in Creo drawings {Other than clicking on the tab with the mouse 🙂 }

on the right-down corner of the screen, there are some annotations of tolerance settings.i wonder how it is done? can i insert some customized info(model related) i need via creo toolkit? what functions should i use?can anyone provide one example for refference?thanks a lot! 

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) Release 4.0 and DatecodeM100I am running into an issue with exporting models to various files(PDF, JPEG, PNG, TIFF, ect..). Each time the exported file has changed my model’s default colors to be "shadowed". This change has been recent and began to occur within the last 2 weeks.

I changed the name of where I have a Creo Design Essentials license (in PLM included) it has flexnet, I come to ask how to make this license recognize with name name?

Are you allowed to include videos or screenshots of Creo parametric when posting on the ptc community? I have seen a lot of videos and pictures of creo online, for example on https://www.youtube.com/c/CreoParametric/videos, but I do not know whether the people who published the content had to communicate to a ptc representative first, because I also heard that it is not legal to post content of video games etc. online because it could be a copyright violation. In the terms of service (https://community.ptc.com/t5/Welcome-How-To-s/Terms-of-Service-Updated-on-Dec-8-2021/m-p/738665#M641) it says that PTC will respond to copyright violations. So does any one maybe know whether you are allowed to post content like this, or where you can read about this topic? Thanks a lot for a reply!

I have relatively recently started working at the office, and I have worked in a way that I modeled my components, put them together and when everything was finished, I added fasteners using the "activate" command within the assembly. However, now I get a lot of issues when I try to copy components or make changes. Mostly, the fasteners which I inserted in the assembly are the cause of problems, e. g. holes just disappearing and dowel pins or screws being underconstrained. Does somebody maybe know whether there is a way of adding fasteners at the end of modeling which is less prone to problems when one is trying to make changes or copy components later on in the process of modeling? Thanks in advance for any ideas!

We have run into a situation where we would like to have Reuse Modified Workspace content set to No. I set the preference in Windchill, but when used from an Update in Creo for the workspace, it still reverts to reuse as the default. Is there a Creo config.pro setting to set this to No like we have on the Windchill side? Should the Windchill preference apply to the Update, too?
