This is my first time to create surfaces in CREO. The below is what I got: why the surfaces don't have shade?Without clicking on these surfaces, they will disappear as like the below: why are they invisible? How to know the locations of these surfaces Where is the switch to turn the surfaces on and become visible?
I'm trying to incorporate a cycloid (standard, not epi-) into a design I'm working on. I tried to generate the appropriate curve using the equation from curve tool, but it only returned a very slight curve. I verified my equations using MATLAB. Pictures and equations are provided below:x(t) = r(t-sin(t))y(t) = r(1-cos(t))where t is some angle and r is the radius of the rolling circle tracing the cycloid.Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Is there a way to change the defaults of these features to 'to next' rather than some randon distantce it auto selects.
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 6.0 (connected) Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0Analyses and Design Studies window does not display saved analyses. I can open the results but cannot edit the analyses. How can I fix this?
I am reposting this issue as the prior posting linked to a help document that apparently isn't accessible to customers. FOV of the manikin view window seems to be randomly changing. Sometimes the manikin FOV window shows a more narrow FOV (maybe just the non-periferal?) and then randomly sometimes it will show a wide FOV. Sometimes this is triggered when you move the manikin. Other times, seems random. I am in CREO 7.0.8.0 thanks allprior thread on this topic "solved" with a locked out article: https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Modeling-Questions/Manikin-field-of-view-problem/m-p/395453#M117108 "solution" to prior "solved" topic which is a locked out article:
Hi all, so I'm new to Web.link and trying to figure out how it works. is there a way to create a code that makes a parameter then have it count how many PTC_NOTE_TEXT there are and associate that with the parameter?
Hi, I am working on ModelCHECK and wanted to test 2 of the parameters("PLANE_CHILD" and PLANE_PARENT”) I was interested in- I created DTM1 as a 0 inch offset of FRONT and DTM2 is a 0 inch offset of DTM1, I should get 1 PLANE_CHILD error for DTM2 and 2 PLANE_PARENT errors for DTM1 and DTM2, instead I get no errors- As you can see above both the tests have passed. But according to definition they should have failed. Please let me know if I am doing something wrong or interpreting definition wrongly. Any help would be appreciated Thanks and Regards,Prasad
Hi,is there a way to type a relation that creates a note parameter.ex.parameter= notethen looks like this
I’ve been deep down the rabbit hole trying to solve this BOM table question. I’m using Altium CoDesigner to import circuit card assemblies into Creo and create drawings for them. The BOM may include hundreds of components which are neatly collapsed into a repeat region BOM table via No Duplicates — until I add the part Designators from Altium (ie R1, R2… for resistors). This breaks the No Duplicates and expands the table from a few dozen to hundreds of entries. I appreciate any insight. I’d like to keep the BOM collapsed and include the Designators as a column, but combine all the individual values, like “U1, U2, U3”. I’ve tried drawing parameters, region parameters, region relations (which cannot access drawing parameters).
I am getting "pfcExceptions::XToolkitCantModify" error while running a vbapi CREO automation application which I have developed for CREO 2.0. The application works fine in my system but throws this exception when I try to run in other user's system. PS: I have already ensured the following things:1) checked that the environment variable PRO_COMM_MSG_EXE is set to right path2) vb_api_register.bat is run and the COM server is registered Is there anything else that can cause this issue? Any help would be appreciated Thanks and Regards,Prasad
I am using a skeleton of a vehicle as the base for a component assembly drawing. When I create a view and make that view a section view my skeleton of the truck model disappears. The option to show skeleton is disabled but the skeleton is still not shown.
Hi,I want to get the return values for creo 4,5,6,8. Can you please help how can I get it? Do I need to install each and every cad version and check return value? Or there is any other method.
When opening a file in creo and having default to all is is possible to rearrange the colums or even better create a custom folder view. Below is an example of the default all view.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.5.1pfcAsyncConnection.AsyncConnection_Connect() throws XToolkitNotFound errorHere are the errors that I faced We have a standalone J-Link application. When it tries to connect pfcAsyncConnection.AsyncConnection_Connect() throws a XToolkitNotFound error. This error has been duplicated with a separate test program that does nothing but connect. This is only happening for one or two users at this one customer. Other customers, and other users at the same customer run this application without issue. We've verified that their PATH is set up correctly, and that pro_comm_msg.exe is running. Their IT has verified that there isn't a security issue.Any ideas?

I was developing my concept for a part within creo, so I made changes here and there until I had a part that I was happy with. But now, the model tree is very large, although it would now be possible to make up the model by a simpler model tree and less construction elements. Is there a way to keep the outward geometry of my part but change the model tree, to simplify it?One suggestion that I had would be to create an assembly with the complicated part and create the simple part on top of it, but then my new part is not independent but has references to the old part. Has somebody maybe done this before and knows a hint on how I could simplify my part?
I want to perform ModelCheck on my assembly. However, when I try to upload to Windchill, it says that ModelCheck has failed on certain components. Do I have to go into each component and perform ModelCheck inside each individual component, or does somebody maybe know an approach to get all components through ModelCheck, without having to go into each individual component and perform ModelCheck there?
Hello,I've been using Schematic for about 3 months now....slowly getting acclimated.I want to learn how to use the circuit diagram feature of Schematic, but the overall support for this very lacking. Does anyone have a guide that they have used for this? Some of the things that I would like to learn:How to create circuit diagram components with Wiring diagram connectors (mating connectors to the CID components)How to create a WID from the CIDThank you
I'm having trouble revolving this sketch. I've redrawn this from scratch a few times, but I still can't revolve this. Is there something wrong with this sketch that makes it unable to be revolved? ?
Hi, I was wondering is there a command in relations that can count how many notes exist in a part? also is there a command to see what the note id is without having to click on the note?
Hello. Can you give me advice how to verify instances of the family table using Pro/Toolkit? Even if I retrieve and regenerate a instance, the verify status is not updated.
We are preparing a script to upgrade to Creo Parameteric 4.0 M150. When we deploy the script successfully, the thumbnail does NOT pop up on the Windchill (11.0 M030) information page in the embedded browser of Creo, Intenet Explorer embedded. The thumbnail does pop up when we use a webbrowser. We script Creo Parametric, Creo View 7.0 Creo Agent and Creo Thumbnail Viewer. We had no issues with Creo P4 M110 (We need M150 in order to upgrade to WT12, after that we go to Creo 😎Where do we need to search??
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150We need an upgrade to be able to license AAX extension
