Hello everyone,I hope I'm right here. With CREO-Cabling I have my problems. I want to route 2 wires. Via the spools, I have defined a bending radius that causes problems with the following topic. At the end of a network, the wires are always twisted so that the wires make a loop because of the bending radius. See pictures.Twisting over the angle does not solve the problem either. How do you manage to run both cables straight and parallel to the end of the network?Thank youMarcel
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) Release 4.0 and DatecodeM010How to set the aspect ratio in the sketch feature text through code, the corresponding API was not found.
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 4.0 (connected) Release 4.0 and DatecodeM150I have a weblink tool which is relied on IE browser and ActiveX, but the IE browser will not be supported in future, how can I continue to use my tool, any alternative method?
HiI can see and work with the transparency icon in part mode but can't do the same in assembly. Any know what is the issue?Even in view manager changing transparency doesn't affect anything.
Hi everyone,It must be an answer for this one, but can't find it... When working on a feature in an assembly, I changed mind and "Cancel" the action, the CREO regenerated automatically all the assembly with more than 6k parts. It must be an option to set to avoid the automatic regeneration. No?I am using CREO 6 in offline mode.Thx,JS
Hi everyone, currently my Creo software is crashing. i can't use some commands like sell… my version is 6. how can i fix it. thank you
As per Creo 4, when you use a measure anyting and use right click , you will be able to copy that particular dimension and can paste it wherever needed, but After upgrading to Creo 8 the same is not able to execute. Any solutions
Dear all! I would like to complete a gear contact analysis using simulate.I'm rotating the rotorshaft to the plastic gear. When selecting linear elastic material for the plastic, the simulation runs well, brings reasonable outcome. The gap between the two parts is closed during analysis. But when I choose elasto-plastic material behavior for the plastic, the simulation brings unrealistic results. The displacement is much lower (around half) compared to elastic analysis.Consequently, the occurring stresses also much lower. What could cause this huge difference between the two analysis type? All the other inputs are the same. I'm using single-pass for convergence as only this is available for plasticity. Thank you in advance for the support!

Hi We are developing injection moulded plastic parts. Often we use the mirror functionality to create e.g. left and right version. Typically around 10% of the features are different between the parts (through holes vs, hole for PT screws). At the end we issue two datasets, one for each side, but the vast majority is identical. For geometry/bodies we know how to handle this, but struggle with model-based definition features. We tried several options, but none is able to mirror such features. Even worse Show Annotations does not show any elements in the mirrored part. What is the best approach to model-based definition features in mirror parts?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0creo exits with creation of traceback.log-file
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.4.0THE PROGRAM KEEPS CRASHING. I AM USING A CERTIFIED VIDEO CARD (Nvidia p4200) BUT WHEN MY MACHINE SITS IDLE FOR ANY LENGTH OF TIME A GET AN ERROR OR A BLUE SCREEN. It didn't use to do this. I am running the latest 512.18 display driver. It's hard to get any work done.
Hello, So I have been trying to model a simple cam folower in mechanism with friction in mind. For that I was searching for the static friction parametre's expression to use it in a later equation. I can't seem to get any i dea on how to find it nether on Creo 6 or 8.Any Idea on how to find it ?Thanks in advance.
I'm having fatal crashes while using Intelligent Fastener. I've created custom hardware for our department and sometimes it works nice and other times it crashes me out of Creo with a fatal error. I have no idea how to fix this and hope someone hear can help. I get the error at random times.....when I select a hole I want to assemblewhen I select the option to automatically select screw sizewhen I change the screw from inch to metric.Attached are the traceback of the error and the ifx_catalogs
I have a specific question regarding Creo Platform Agent (CPA), as part of fault finding: When I start "Windchill Workgroup Manager" (WWM), on a normal PC in Task Manager I will see WWM, and under that CPA, permanently:But on my PC I do see this except every 2 seconds, CPA disappears for a moment then reappears, like if it is restarted:Also, based on this post, when no PTC software is running, I tried double clicking on creoagent.exe (which I found in C:\Program Files\Common Files\PTC\Creo\Agent). On a normal PC, CPA appears permanently in the Task Manager. But on my PC, it is started only for less than half a second.. Seems like a clue? I have tried uninstalling everything from PTC then installing only the WWM part (which I get through a script my employer handed me). After uninstalling I also tried deleting a lot of PTC leftovers on the disk and in the registry, but it is not easy to cover all of that. My question to you is if you have any tips in fixing
1)Since the middle mouse button is assigned to both "done/return/Escape"" and "rotate model", it is quite often that my CREO is confused about what I am actually wanting: rotate model so as to see the other side of it for facilitating feature selection in {Assembly mating, Measuring, assignments of BCs and loads (in Simulate), etc.}. Is there a simple way to avoid this and make CREO's life easy? 2)When assigning BCs to 200 surfaces, I have to hold down the Ctrl key in order to make multiple selections. If by accident the mouse click when the Ctrl key were not pressed, all the previous selection would gone. Is there a simply way to avoid this and make designer's life easy? Thanks.JS (_The last CREO user who hold fast to CREO when everyone else at my company has switched to SW officially)
Hi Partners, I want to run Creo Parametric in Chenese traditional. (Creo Parametric version is 9.0.0.0) I have already try the following method and it doesn't work. 1. Set environment variable LANG or PRO_LANG to cht (for Traditional Chinese ).2. Run reconfigure.exe to add Chinese_translation, but I can't find this option in it. (show in attach picture)3. Open "Configuration Editor", and set these option to Yes (dialog_translation / help_translation / menu_translation / msg_translation). Is there any other method can suggest? or, should i open a support case?
I am using Creo Simulate Release 6.0 and Datecode 6.0.6.0CREO SIMULATE NOT GENERATING BONDED SURFACE VIA THE WELD CONNECTION TOOLHere are the errors that I facedSIMULATION FAILS BECUASE IT IS NOT PROPERLY CONSTRAINED See attached file for visual of problem Update: changing the weld size from .25 to .5 has cause the weld to bond correctly (both surfaces bonded). But still have problem with smaller weld size. Software problem or user problem?
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.3.0My question is:How does Creo presently operate with Windows11. I am running Creo 5.0 presently. why am I running 5.0? I just haven't installed a later version. Thank you in advance for your attention.
Besten Dank
HelloI am doing the tutorial exercise nr.5, following the instructions at this link:https://support.ptc.com/help/creo/creo_pma/usascii/index.html#page/tutorials_pma%2Fexercise_05%2Fcrankshaft_assembly_drawing.html%23wwconnect_header I got this message when I try to use this file.tbl assembly_bom.tbl : Where can I find a compatible file for my student version?Thank you!
Greetings,as the title suggests i keep getting these unwanted lines (marked with red) which arent supposed to be drawn in my sketch and cant remove them with the edge display tool. all parts that go into eachother have cosmetic threads which fit perfectly.any help would be appreciated!
Hi there, Every time I set a tolerance, I have to set the tolerance table to ‘None’ from the default type ‘General’, it’s really inconvenient, is there a way to set ‘None’ as the default type? Regards,
Hi Everyone, I'm in a situation where I work for an organization using ModelCheck. However, in my humble opinion, it's being used incorrectly. While I believe I have the credentials and experience to make this judgment call, I wanted feedback from the greater PTC Community so I thought I'd pose the question here and see what the responses are. This particular organization has three prongs to their implementation of ModelCheck: Tight, restrictive settings. Different "codes" can be applied (via parameter) to each model as a way to ease restrictions. For example, a concept model has less restrictions than a model set for imminent release. However, in all cases the settings are very restrictive. ModelCheck runs at every save operation. It takes between 5 seconds and 3 minutes for Creo to return control to the user during a save. Users save less so they don't have to suffer the performance hit. If ModelCheck crashes the session of Creo, your work is lost. There is no alternat
Good morning, warriors still using Simulate, I just finished a thermal analysis and obtained nice plots of temperature profile and heat flux profile. Since the heat flux at one contacting surface is not uniform, it is difficult to calculate the heat flow power through that surface. Is there a way now in Simulate to get the average heat flow power at a surface. I know Fluent has it, because I have been using it in another simulation job (for a different company. Note: I am working concurrently for different employers). Thanks for any hints. Best regards. JS
