The shapes are highlighted and the features are all checked yet when i extrude it, it says couldnt make a feature is this a bug?
Creo 4.0, license server FlexNet LM version 11.17. Currently, at our site, we have a license for the Simulate application (module?), under the "MECELITE_UI_License" and "MECELITE_ENG_License" names. At another site, they have licenses for Creo, but not for the Simulate items above. Since we do not use the Simulate license very often, it was felt it would be more cost effective to share our licenses with the group at the other site, rather than buying yet another seldom-used license. The problem is, although the other group is able to obtain licenses from our pool of available licenses, they are unable to run the Simulate application. It does not work for them insisting that they do not have a license, etc. In the past, when I had troubles with Creo Simulate licenses, I had to manually edit the "feature.dat" to "tell" Creo what license to look for when attempting to run the program. I provided instructions to the folks at the other site as to how to do this, but it doesn't seem t

I am using Creo Parametric - Release 6.0 (connected) Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0I am working on a spring pin connection to a pcb device. There are two cases in question an both applies this problem the first is when perfect alignment to the via hole occurs. For this case deformation should occur on the edges that the pin contacts the pc yet instead of that overlapping between both assemblies occurs. On the other case the alignment is not with the via but instead only on the plating (similar to an indentation process ) but the pin tip also instead of penetrating and deforming the surfaces the results show overlapping once again
Dear community We are developing home appliances for food preparation. For regulatory reasons we need to provide the total surface and the surface in contact with food. For a part I created feature measuring the area of the body to get the Total Surface. The I created a copy surface feature and again a feature stating the area of these copy surfaces. Using relations I created parameters which then are used in annotations. So far so good. For convenience reason I tried to add this features, relations and parameters to our start part. Unfortunately the measuring and copy surface features fail if no geometry exists in the start part. I wonder if there is an option to add these features differently. Any hints? Cheers, ziegi
Hey, I wanted to know the name of the programming language which is used in CREO (the language to create macros..).I only found this message on the internet : https://community.ptc.com/t5/System-Administration/In-what-programming-language-is-PTC-Creo-Parametric-written-in/m-p/536946#M19492.
Any users on Creo build 7.0.2.0 having problems with family table parts not allowing saves, of assemblies where used? We have an intermittent problem with this, where Creo is not saving when trying to save an assembly where there are family parts structured under it. The issue is intermittent, where the user may be working and saving an assembly for hours or days and never preset itself, then then out of the blue, it stops saving. The family table parts are regenerated and verified and unmodified. Not all users experience this problem, only a handful out of ~18. The Family Table parts are shared down from PDM to Project folders. Users working in Creo build 7.0.0.0, do not experience this issue. The family table parts are all assembled in “generic state”.The work-around is to delete all the family table parts from their lower level subassemblies. After deleting all the family table parts from their respective parent assemblies, the top-level ass
Hi, I am trying to apply chamfer on the edge of sprocket teeth, I tried to create a sweep feature by drawing the chamfer profile but i am getting non uniform surfaces as shown in the image.
Is there a way to select "all" geometry when your in the Sketch Mode? I've got a part with a lot of geometry on it. When I'm in the Sketch mode, I want to select all the geometry entities at once instead of picking them individually. I've tried using the Chain, Loop and Select All options but it doesn't work.
Even after reinstalling, the problem is still there. For original inquiries, please check the link below.DOT line style appears as a straight line on the s... - PTC Community When I checked, only DOT_CTRL_FONT came out as a solid line. All other dotted line types such as CTRLFONT_MID_L and CTRLFONT_S_S are displayed normally.
I am using Creo Parametric - Release 6.0 (connected) Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.3.0I don't know how to reset my password to https://app.ar-design.ptc.io/portal. This is Creo AR plugin. I can't see the AR models manager.
I'm a mechanical design,I need to measure a lenght of section curve.Actually I work with PROE WF4 or CREO8Why with a singolar measure, exact with geometrical calculate, is different of a measure withsection curve. On example 2667.4601versus 3984.22.Many thanks for the answer.

Hello, I want to know how to list all licenses under a customer's name, not only current used licenses but also historic license records. There is a License Reports weblink at esupport website, I tried but not sure if can list all licenses or not.https://www.ptc.com/support/license-management/report Thanks.
Hi, i would like to ask if is possible to hide the text that I have surrounded by the red circle.thanks.
We (our company, not me) have been routing harnesses for a long time with the old flattening software.People are asking if there are any good tutorials or informational items how to use HMX.
Let me first try to explain the issue. The below graphs are the pressure forces observed in Creo flow analysis (Figures 1 and 2). When I compare these results to the hand calculations (Figure 3) I made, there is a stark difference. But when I compare the hand calculations to the reaction force (Figure 4) I see in ANSYS (which uses the pressure distribution from Creo flow analysis), the values have a smaller percent difference. I also have ensured that the unit system is correct (Figure 5). So I guess my question is: Are pressure force and reaction force the same?
Hi, When creating a dimension in 2D, Creo highlights one direction of the axis. When select axis via ProSelect(), Creo highlights all direction of the axis. Is it possible to highlights one direction(at cursor) of the axis when select axis via ProSelect().? Thanks, Warm Regards, SeonHo CHA.
Hello I see this PTC article: CS50932 Snapshot is not updated in drawing for a flexible component But PTC says it's article is available for: Creo Parametric 1.0 to 4.0 Anyone know if it's OK for next Creo's version ? I have Creo 7 and obviously it does not always work It's a problem because the PTC circumvention is not applicable (make flexible componant in 2 hard componant) It's ok when you have not much part but it's impossible with a lot of part it's a shame because the principle of snapshot is very great and light comparatively to Solidwork's configuration Anyone can to help me ?

Hello all, I would like to simulate a column steel plate supported on a concrete slab. The load is in the downward direction so basically the steel plate induces compression on the concrete surface. Material definition in CREO simulate, seems oriented to metals only? I tried defining the stress-strain relationship of concrete with 3000 psi strength but I haven't been successful. Is anyone aware of any work-around for brittle materials? Thank you
Good morning, beacause I am a newbe in Creo Simulate I need a help for modelig hinges screws.I have a 3D mechanical frame where connection are made by hinges and screws. For the hinges, following the description in the description in these linkshttps://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Hinge-Deflection-Simulation/td-p/94974https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS349520the procedure is described below:- put 3 points for my beam elements (two at the edges and and one at the middle span) - Image 1- I created my two beam elements using the Point-Point Pairs option - Image 2- set rotation releases in the edges of every element - Image 3- set rigid links between the points and the inner surfaces of the holes - Image 4At this point I need to understand:- has the hinge been well modeled?- can I model screws in the same way, just removing the rotation releases? Many thanks in advance
We are using creo version 4.0- We are trying to connect to the floating license server- I enter the server info after I run the reconfigure tool- We keep getting the unreachable status after we enter the server infoWe may need another license or remote sessions to resolve that status.
subject: Dialogs generated by Tool kit are automatically closed. I am using Creo Parametric Release 4.0 and DatecodeM140 When developing the dialog function in Creo Toolkit, click the button, call the ProMacroLoad function, load the macro command, "~ Command `ProCmdEnvAnnotElemDisp` 1" to realize the display annotation function, but after the function is executed, the dialog box will be automatically closed. Is there any way to keep the dialog interface from being closed? Good morning, I ran stress analysis on 3 design options with 3 different convergence methods. The maximum stress results are shown in the diagram above. How to interpret it?1: Design-3 is the best? 2: Never trust Quick-Check (QC) and Single-Pass Adaptive (SPA)?3: Always run Multi-Pass Adaptive (MPA)? Thanks.JS
