Howdy!I am having issue with Family Table. The latest version (2.5) of the main file 123-456-XX.asm refers to non-latest version of the instances (ex: -01, -02, -03). Is there a way to update the main assembly so that it refers to the latest version of all instances? I hope that make sense. We switched over to a different CAD software MANY years ago and I am VERY rusty with Pro/INTRALINK. Also, because we are using Pro/INTRALINK 10.0 M030, it is no longer supported by PTC. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!
Hi guys, I'm continuing my work to turn some of my mapkeys into a toggle (on / off) (Previous mapkey : https://community.ptc.com/t5/Customization/Mapkey-Toggle-Grid-HIDE-Grid-SHOW-Grid/m-p/793262#M11178).Today, I want to turn a mapkey, which exclude a part of an assembly from a representation, into a toggle where there is the possibility to include back the part. Code to exclude the part : mapkey ee @MAPKEY_LABELExclude the part from the representation;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Timer `UI Desktop` `UI Desktop` `popupMenuRMBTimerCB`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Close `rmb_popup` `PopupMenu`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Trail `MiniToolbar` `MiniToolbar` `UIT_TRANSLUCENT` `NEED_TO_CLOSE`;\ mapkey(continued) ~ Command `ProCmdViewExclude@PopupMenuGraphicWinStack`; Nevertheless, I'm having trouble finding a way to create a mapkey which deactivate the exclusion for the part selected. I want the selected part to go from the status "Exclude" to "No specific status" but I can't find the way to make
I'm designing a simple stent but it seems that the sketch i put as a hole identifeis a shape. is there a way in creo to set which is a shape and which is a hole?
Hello there, I have a small problem with a drawing that I have been working on. I am using a table to call out some spring specs by calling out the parameter directly. All of our springs are controlled by a family table so the idea was to create a drawing where you could "Replace View Model" and instantly have a drawing that has all the info for the new part. The problem is the table wont update because the parameters are all followed by a session ID that still links to the old model that was replaced. If I manually remove the session ID from the parameter the table will update. Is there a way to automatically update the session ID to the ID of the new model? Thanks friends
SYS_PARAMETER - what is it? <PORT name="4" physicalName="4" ><SYS_PARAMETER id="obj686919693-104" /><PARAMETER name="ENTRY_PORT" value="4"/><PARAMETER name="LAYER" value="DEF_LINES"/><PARAMETER name="NAME_FORMAT" value="#"/> id="obj686919693 - is it harness?-104" - what is it?
Hello Friends,I have to collect snap line from particular view , Make it delete & erase , Is there any API to collect the snap line from drawing , -Kunal Bidkar
Hello everyone,I used family table to create two parts. In the generic part datum A was created on a plane. But this plane (feature) is suppressed in the instance part, so one error occored. But the change and this datum A is needed in the instance part. Could you please tell me how to do it with MBD? Thanks in advance.BrSun
Is there a way to create pattern in two opposite directions by using plane as directional reference with varying members and spacing? See attach image, I have 5 members at 200 spacing in one direction and want 6 members at 250 in exactly opposite direction.
If i run the following code in windows scripting host running in either wsh or csh. This works fine in Creo 7 and 8 but reports: pfcExceptions::XToolkitObsoleteFunc in Creo 9 on the para.Value call. If this truly is obsolete function? If it is obsolete is there a list of what was deprecated? Or is it just a installation problem? Code distilled to smallest possible repeatable unit. Open a part or assembly into creo. Put following into a file with .js extension and run the file in windows scripting host (usually just double clicking of file but other programs might have hijacked the function so...). var assCon = WScript.CreateObject('pfcls.pfcAsyncConnection'); var paraName = 'DESCRIPTION'; var conn = assCon.Connect('','','.',1); var session = conn.session; var mdl = session.CurrentModel; var para = mdl.GetParam(paraName); var val = para.Value; WScript.Echo(paraName + " = \"" + val.StringValue+"\""); conn.Disconnect(2);

Hey guys, For instance:for (int j=0; j<5; j++){ProMessageDisplay(message_file_init, "PTAFEX ERROR %0s", somevariable[j]);} I have something like below, the text is always the same, only differs the last word which is the variable somevariable[j].When I launch it with Creo, it only prints the last text message when j=4.What am I doing wrong and what shall I do so that all messages from j = 0 to 4 get printed? Thank you!
Creo Parametric 7.07.0 The insert bar is disabled without known cause. This is one example where it is grey until I expand a group immediately preceding it and then it goes active. I have had different scenarios cause it to go grey that do not make sense. This is the first one I have captured and documented. Has anyone else experienced this In Creo 7+? The only thing I found in the knowledge base was a reference to a corrupt creo_parametric_customization.ui file. This is in part mode. The models are proprietary so I can not post them. Example of what reactivates it in the tree.
Hi there, Wondering if anyone can help with this UI problem. I recently switched to using a trackball mouse, and I have noticed that (particularly) while working on drawings, the mouse cursor being constrained to the edge of my screen is very limiting. One benefit of the trackball is being able to scroll infinitely in any direction with much less effort than a traditional mouse, however since my cursor can't move past the edge of my display (as happens in programs like Autodesk) my panning ability is very limited. I would like to be able to pan beyond the bounds of my display, as I like to work fairly zoomed-in while reviewing drawings. Does anyone know of any way to enable the mouse to move beyond the screen while panning? I have looked across forums and Google, also delved into the config options with several keywords but to no avail. Thanks!
We have a user who is trying to use our Simulate (MECELITEENG_License, MECELETEUI_License) license, but is being told that functionality is unlicensed. Currently, the core Creo licenses we have are PROE_DesignEss PROE_EssentialsI PROE_EssentialsIIM I'm suspecting the Simulate license will only work with one of these core Creo licenses, and not the others. Thus, when this user pulls a license, if they get one of the other "flavors", they can't use Simulate. Is my suspicion correct? Is Simulate set up to only work with a specific type of PROE_XXXX license?
Does anyone know if the dim modify slider can be used outside of sketch mode? In some cases it would be beneficial to use a dynamic drag handle or slider when modifying features with an internal sketch. In this example the scaling dim is in the sketch and can not be dynamically changed unless in sketch mode as shown here. It would be nice to have this function at the feature level without entering sketch mode.
I am using Pro/ENGINEER and Creo Elements/Pro Release Wildfire 4.0 and DatecodeM130I have created a pattern on a skeleton using axis definition. The patterned references are separated 45° and used in many parts of the assembly. Now, I want to create additional patterned references between the original ones (at 22.5°) and keeping the original ones at the same place (separated 45°), otherwise I need to change the references of all the dependent parts. Is there anyway to do it?If I modify the pattern the patterned original instances move from 45° to 22.5° and I want to keep them at 45°.
I am using Creo Parametric Release 5.0 and Datecode5.0.3.0Dimension line on drawing runs directly through datum feature symbol on published PDF file, this can also be seen when the dimension is selected and highlighted within the drawing. and on published PDF file. However when if you don't select and highlight the dimension the dimension line does not extend through the datum feature symbol.See attachments. Here are the errors that I facedn/a

Hi,I'm testing the new Creo version 9.0.0.0.I detect strange behavior on my very simple macros.Simple example: macro that starts the rename command (File >>> Manage file >>> Rename). In Creo 8.0.0.0 the "New file name" text field remains selected before being immediately modified or copied.Creo 9.0.0.0 this field is deselected.Weird thing is that if I manually perform the above steps the text field is correctly selected, while if I run the macro the text field is deselected ...I have developed thousands of macros but in no way can I solve the problem brilliantly. Can anyone help me?
I fixed the sketch and successfully made a wrap, i want to extrude this exact shape outwards. Is there a way to extrude this wrap?
Hello, We have an issue here when exporting the flat state of Sheetmetal parts. DXF will be created from the drawing. We have checked off the splines option in the export menu.In most cases the splines (end points) in the exported DXF file are not connected. Our supplier needs to connect the end points by themselves. When I change splines to polylines, the end points are connected but the geometry contains only straight lines, we don't want this as well.Changing the DXF version or using a different version of Creo is no success. Are there any settings we have to use to solve this issue? thanks in advance....S.
I have a D sized drawing format, it has sheet 1 and 2I want to1. add another sheet (sheet 3) How?2.the 3rd sheet I want it to have viewports or at least I can have 4 areas in the format to lay out up to 4 models onto one sheet (3)

Hi all, I am looking to simulate permanent magnets' interactions based on the magnets' dimensions, distance from one another, orientations, their field strength, and other respective parameters to calculate the force they exert on each other. Is this something that is possible in Creo? Has anybody attempted this in Creo before? I am open to other non-PTC suggestions for this, too. I know there is magnet simulation software in Python, so maybe I'll take a stab at that. Thank you in advance!
