Creo+ and Creo Parametric

My programmers use Creo 2 and have Vericut for material removal checking.  When we went to Creo 3 (M190) this went away and now it has an internal material removal that doesn't work well for them.  Is there anyway to get Vericut to work in Creo 3?

Using Creo 4.0, I'm having issues with inserting a Datum Feature Symbol that has a gap from the edge it is applied to in a drawing.   I have tried using annotated Datum markers in the part and showing this in the drawing, and inserting it directly to the drawing. The result is the same: the leader line runs directly to the edge and there is no gap. Not sure what the standard is in other industries, but my company likes to maintain a gap from all leaders coming off an edge. Can anyone advise on how to fix this? In 3.0 (we just upgraded), I had a handle to drag where I wanted but that seems to have disappeared in Creo 4.0.

Does anyone know if you can load the auto axis utility in Creo 3?  If so, how do you do this?  We had it in Creo 2 and now it is gone in Creo 3.  Plus when I try to register the Creo 2 one I'm using in Creo 3 it says it can't run it.  I've also tried adding the prodev.dat to the config and it won't stay saved in there.  Can anyone help?

Hi, I want to analyze a mechanism but I don't know how to implement it. The pictures shows the 3 parts of the assembly. Housing Lever plate with a slot. The plate with the slot moves back and forth. The pin of the Lever stuck in the slot. This causes the lever to move. I tried different approaches but none of them worked properly. Thanks for the help.

Hello everybody absolute beginner here so please bear with me. Creo 7. I'd like to use the show and Hide icons to hide extruded features from my view. But the only thing which is being hidden is the axis of the extrusion - what am I doing wrong?If I go to Layers, I find the extrudes as children of the PRT_ALL_AXES (?!) the reason why I cannot understand. What am I doing wrong and how can I achieve this seemingly basic activity? Please point me in the right direction. Hello Multibody community!   As I recently have received some questions and suggestions around how to trim a body, let me spend a few minutes today to tackle that topic.   #1) How can I trim a body by a datum, surface, quilt etc? I have heard this question several times, as there is no “Trim Body” tool currently in Creo Parametric 7.0. Still, we do have other tools that you can use to trim body geometry.  If you want to trim a body by a datum, surface, quilt, this is the “Solidify-Tool” with the “Remove Geometry” option. Hi All,    I'm running 3 scenarios to try out differing heat sink designs and placements. I have successfully run 2 of these scenarios, but in the 3rd one the heat is not transferring to the heat sink from the components. The components are constrained to the heat sink the same way, and the same materials, as in the first two scenarios. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem?

We've been using Creo 4.0 for a while, and I'm aware that "support" for that release has been over for a bit. I'm wondering what folks have found to be the most stable release between 5.0, 6.0, and 7.0. I'm not really that interested in multibody functionality - I see that as another way for horrible model management to expand to heretofore unseen levels of disorganization. I'm more interested in whether a particular "version" is more stable, has less bugs, maybe handles the tedium of drawing generation better, etc. Maybe Simulate is better in one version than another? Anyone have any opinions on what they've seen as the "best"?

Hello All   Does someone know what is the Gpost Code (programming) to get a parameters from the NC Sequence and convert in a NC code?   I would like to take the parameter FLASH_TOOL  YES or NO and insert the position on the Spindle on the CNC program.   For example If I created a NC sequence with the parameter FLASH_TOOL  YES on the code on my CNC program has to be  M111 M19 S900 M110   If I created a NC sequence with the parameter FLASH_TOOL  NO on the code on my CNC program has to be  M111 M19 S2700 M110   If you prefer could you send me this answer on my e-mail. cristiano.afarelli@bakerhughes.com   That will help me a lot   Thanks   

I am using Creo Parametric 5.0 5.0.2.0Dear sirs,We implemented an application for Creo Parametric and we added a ribbon to contain all our commands. So far so good, everything works. We have changed some of the icons (made them transparent) and now i wanted to use the new icons in Creo Parametric too. But whatever i tried (double/triple/quadruple checked that the correct icons where loaded, completely removed our UI-customization and tried to rebuild it from scratch) some icons simply refuse to appear transparent. I say some because i have two icons which work but the others don't... I am completely out of ideas what do do now. Do you have any ideas what could be wrong? Newbie here, I apologize in advance if this is the wrong place to post this (apparently, I do not have access to any other area to create a new topic).Let us say I have two parts: a plate with three threaded holes (PLATE.prt.1), and a screw (SCREW.prt.1).When I assemble these parts together, I will set up the PLATE.prt.1 as default, and I will assemble three SCREW parts in it.The Model Tree to the left of the screen will show PLATE at the top, and underneath three SCREW parts, all having the same name (I have put together a Minimal Working Example file).I want to change the Model Tree to show:PLATE- LEFT_SCREW- CENTER_SCREW- RIGHT_SCREW(or whatever naming convention the system allows) -- please see image attached.Can I do that in CREO 3.0 or do I have to duplicate the SCREW part file in three distinct files, and then assemble them as different parts?I just want to know if there is a possibility to give the same part, used repeatedly, a different name under CREO assembly Model Tree.Or m

RSD Users!   The below matrix says that, CS 4.0 is interoperable with Creo 7 parametric. What it means if we use different PLM (Teamcenter) other than Windchill? How this will impact us?   - We are using Creo Schematics 3, Creo 4 Parametric with Teamcenter PLM Planning to upgrade Creo 7. - Parametric Any impact on Creo Schematics 3? Hello,   This is my first time using Pro/Program, and my intent is to change out a series of sub-assemblies depending on my inputs.   The main problem I'm running into is that these sub-assemblies mate to each other end-to-end and will drive the overall length of the assembly. I can calculate where my sub-assemblies SHOULD end up if I were to mate them the old fashioned way, but because not every iteration of this assembly will include all of the sub-assemblies, I can't because I'll end up suppressing some and un-suppressing others.   What I would like to do is make an assembly with ALL my sub-assemblies in it, use Pro/Program to suppress the ones I'm not using, and define a length constraint I can calculate to position my sub-assemblies accordingly.   I've never seen an example of constraint manipulation through Pro/Program, so I'm really hoping somebody can help me out here.   Thanks

I'm building a Jlink app. I need that, the Jlink app run a specific macro in the middle of my code. First I need to select a part to show a layer of the selected part. It's working fine! Then I need to run a macro, doing the session.RunMacro function. And it also works, then after this, i need to continue my code, and do some other actions. But don't understand why, but all of the jlink actions are running in sequence, the session.RunMacro is ignored, and executed, only at the end of my code! I would need this to be executed when I need to be executed.   Any idea?

Whenever I start a new part and sketch, my initial sketched lines start at lengths of 132000" for example. I'm primarily designing parts no larger than 50" in length.   While this is an easy fix, there are times were I sketch out a complicated shape only to realize that it's completely out of scale. Is there a way to change the range/scale of initial sketch sizes?

Hello, Has anyone had the issue of the BOM balloon quantities changing when an assembly or drawing is checked in? The total quantity does not change for a given find number, but Creo redistributes the quantities of certain find numbers whenever I save and check in a drawing or assembly. I can redistribute the quantities back to what I want them to be but if I have to make another change to the drawing or assembly, the quantities jump around again upon saving.   Does this make sense? Has anyone had this happen? Is there a fix for it?

Hi all,   Currently, Creo ModelCHECK only supports checks for a few data types: Design Assemblies Solid Parts Sheetmetal parts Drawings This leaves many other subtypes (e.g. bulk parts, harness parts, interchange assemblies, mold layout assemblies, etc.) that are not able to be checked.   Can you please comment with the subtypes that would be most beneficial to you/your organization if ModelCHECK supported them?   Thanks!   Luke

Hello,   I have DXF file that always crashes my system when trying to import it.  I can get past the "Import New Model" dialogue and the "Import DXF" dialogue only to have the system register a fatal error.  It states "Memory Error" in the status bar and then yields a Fatal Error box pops up.  This is a machine with 64GB of ram so I find it really hard to believe that I am actually running out of memory...   If I try to import the same file on a colleagues computer it has no problem importing the file...   Any suggestions on how to fix this issue or where to start looking are greatly appreciated.
