after I converted a solid to sheetmetal (driving surface) and I edit a thickness of the original solid in the modeltree, it does not update the wall thickness of the converted part. Why does this not happen and more important is there a setting available to automatically update sheetmetal wall-thickness without having to manually add some relation?
I was testing my Asynchronous on my friend system then CREO shown this error. How I can disable this?
I'm working with a part that has complex curvature. I wish to place a point at the position on the surface that is at the minimum distance from a plane which does not intersect the surface. I can use Analysis->Measure->Distance and I'm provided with the measured distance and an indication of where on the surface the minimum occurs. What I would like is to have a way to determine exactly where in space that minimum point is, either by creating a point at the location on the surface, or by getting some XYZ coordinates with respect to a coordinate system, etc. Is this possible? Is there some trick with relations that will let me extract the XYZ coordinate values from the measure, or something like that?
I am having trouble setting up the VB API. I would like to use it through excel and I am trying to get the example excel/VB program to run, but I am getting the error no: -2147352567, Error: pfcExceptions::XToolkitGeneralError.I think that I don't have my PRO_DIRECTORY set correctly, and/or the Pro/E Executable Path I'm using isn't correct. My PRO_DIRECTORY goes to my /ptc/proewildfire4 folder and I've tried the full executable path to xtop.exe, and proe.exe.Can anyone help me with this? If it makes a difference, when I try to run xtop.exe, I get the error RgiWrapIsoLib.dll was not found. Thanks for any help.
Hi Guys!! I hope this message finds you all safe and well especially during these hard times. First off this forum has been INVALUABE over the years. Even though this is my first post, reading through the forum has helped from countless nights of pulling my hair out. Just a big thank you really for putting in the time to answer the questions put forward by users. I have been using PTC software since University, first WF4 then CREO 2 & 7…. I think the phrase might be “Hook ‘em while they’re young” I have just started freelancing and looking to upgrade my current system at home. My current lifestyle dictates that I need to have a portable workstation. Which doesn’t help as my budget is low especially for this category. Would love to be in one place and have a desktop workstation…..one day. I have been combing the forums, checking reviews and PTC’s advised hardware etc. I have whittled my search to two systems, one verified by PTC and one no
I assume I have a list of tables and loop through them, how do tell which sheet# a table belong to on a multiple sheet drawing? TableOwner tableOwner = (TableOwner) pfcSession.GetCurrentSession().GetCurrentModel(); Tables tables = tableOwner.ListTables(); for (int i = 0; i < tables.getarraysize(); i++) { Table table = tables.get(i); I tried read the free jlink docs but I could not locate it.
I have a fairly complicated region that I need the area of to verify the safety of that region but can't seem to find out how to just get the two parts of the cross sections area. Attached is a screenshot of the part, labeled " A " and " B " are the two areas that I need to know. The measurement tool doesn't let me get the area of cross sections and mass properties cross section analysis doesn't let my to get just a part of it. Is there a way to do this in CREO?
Is it possible to define material for all parts in assembly at once, without opening each part and define material for it?
Old license at 7788@xxxxx not longer valid, how can I change this to new target directory? Please help
Hi, I have a family tabled part that I need to create multiple drawing tables from and each table will represent a different configuration of a part file (some features excluded, some not).Based on a parameter called "configuration" and its value I want to exclude rows that are not related to a particular configuration. See the image below of the family table and 3 tables that I want to create from the family table. How can I filter a simple repeat region to not include data related to an instance that belongs to a type of configuration? How can I filter a 2d repeat region to not include data related to an instance that belongs to a type of configuration?
is there a command to keep a specific model at the bottom of the model tree so even after i add new components all new components will be inserted before said model? yes, i know i can drag the drag the insert bar above the last model then drag it back under after component assemble of new parts, but i wanted something more automated for all the users. thanks guys
I am curious if anyone has any experience with this. If so and your willing to share your experience/thoughts I would appreciate it. My company is considering using the service but would like to hear about some actual usage. https://www.ptc.com/en/customer-success/success-management
Basically I am trying to attach this load cylinder (red) to the curved and root-fixed beam (black) to better understand the induced moment/torque on the beam and it's failure depending on the mass of the cylinder, and diameter. What would be amazing (I just have very limited experience in Creo Simulate) is to show a simulation of the beam rolling up on the cylinder as it moves straight down. Is this possible in Creo? I am really digging around trying to find out more information on how to make this all work in a dynamic simulation/demonstration.
Hello, I have a strange issue when trying to place a profile along a curved sketch in AFX. I press "new profile", select the profile I want, and select "assemble profile on a bend curve". I can select a starting and ending curve just fine, but no matter what I do, as long as my selected curves are anything but a straight line, it will not let me select an orientation plane, and it won't auto-select one like it does for straight lines. I cannot figure out why this is happening. Is anyone aware of something I could be doing wrong?
Hi there, I'm looking about any informations about creo_js_app.conf file. This file is needed by new CreoJS webserver to define some variables like port number or jscript files directory. But don't find any information on the documentation given with Creo Parametric 7.0.2.0 Where this file must be located ?Which kinds of variable could be set within this file ? With which syntax ? Thank's for your help, Hugues

Can anyone help me identify the path to the file containing the symbols for dimensioning? I recently got a new pc and therefor reinstalled Creo4.0 M030. On my old pc the symbol palette looked like this: Old On the new pc it looks like this: New As you can see I now have other symbols in the palette but also especially the diameter symbol "Ø" is significantly different and it stays different when I print the drawing as a PDF. I have searched through config.pro and other .pro and .dtl files but I cannot find the location of these symbols.
Folks I have a tube assembly that is cut in half and mated back together. Subsequently, the two parts will have two separate hatching areas even though is the same assembly. Unfortunately, the cut thicken or any other feature doesnt separate the hatching only new components does. I read that i can trace the envelope and hatch/fill it. Seems a lot of work since my assembly has tons of feature holes. Any other options? thanks
Hello When I insert the holes table I visualize the siscoo in the drawing I want see the coordinate X-Y for the production How I can see it's?
Hi, Is there a way to highlight the note, when I select a reference from 'holes table' in drawing? For instance, I would like that If I pick 'E2' in the table, I could see the note from E2 highlighted. I think this could be useful in big tables.. I am using creo4. Thank you
When I acitvate a sub-assembly I get this message Please confirm the temporary removal of upper-level assembly features. there is no external references visible, non CRC can someone telle me why I get this message? thanks Veronique
