Creo+ and Creo Parametric

Im trying to download Creo but its not letting get into the link to download the program and I am trying to do it on a Mac computer. Can you help with this please.

I originally posted this in the manufacturing subgroup, which is almost like talking to myself. Perhaps someone here will have some idea...We have access to a programmable CMM machine that can be driven by PC-DMIS software. I'd like to be able to pre-program the inspection program for a part using Creo, so I won't have to tie up the inspection machine defining the picks, etc.Does anyone have any experience with performing this function with Creo? I seem to recall something like Pro/CMM or the like being promised, never saw anything concrete or testable that we could experiment with. How do you folks approach the inspection of complex contoured parts that have surface profile tolerances and the like?

Hello - I updated my ifx_screw_data.cfg file for the "MIN and MAX Screw-in depth for screws".  In my example, I set the max depth for a 1/4 diameter screw to be .626 inches.  But, when I select a screw that creates a .625 inch depth, it is still showing red in the preview.  I thought that changing theses values in the ifx_screw_data.cfg file would cause the preview to show green between the new min and max range that I set.  I closed out of Creo and re-started but my changes still don't seem to have taken affect.  What am I missing?   Thanks  

Not sure this is the right area for this question, but here goes. When I do a PDF plot from the Print menu, all of the lines and text are black, except a custom color for Pen 1 which is red. When I do a plot on the server automatically from a Windchill check-in or just manually from Windchill, the custom color text is still red, the text in tables and table lines are black, but the format border, text pulled from parameters and object lines are blue. Both Creo installs are using the same pen table pulled from a server location. The recipe file on the Windchill server has the Use pentable checked. The only difference is the server install of Creo 4.0 in M080 and the local install on the Windchill server for publishing is M110. It is just one of those low level things that if I can find out what is causing the difference would be nice to fix.  

Hi everyone, I woiuld like to have on my drawing a drawing table with two columns. In the first cloumn I would like to show the drawing dimension name (coming from the drawing) and in the second one to show the dimension value with/without tolerances (also coming from the drawing, not from the model). Hi, I have a shape that I have to mill, making an assembly of foam plates.So I have a creo master part as first part (skeleton) in an assenbly.It's the whole shape.Then I have to design about 30 plate parts.Than, I'm looking for a way to automate this parts creation that would  allow the shape to be changed and update all parts ? I can model plane surfaces in an assembly using repetition, for example.Planes parts could perhaps be design with family table ?I can't figure how to get all of parts in an assembly and generate all steps and drawing files.Any idea ?This process is similar to slicing softwares for 3D printing.It would be fine to be able to automate this as far as possible.Thanks

How to identify that assembly is a piping assembly or not using toolkit.

Once Creo start up, it loads tons of mapkeys that form corporate level. Personally i have my own mapkey saved in config.pro Very often, some shortcut will have conflict. How to let Creo only use mapkey that defined in config.pro?

I'd like to perform a simple heat and pressure analysis of a piston sliding into a cilinder. I setted up all the boundary, demain conditions, the physics etc.. How do i setup the remesh of the fluid since i want it to be compressible and, if possible, how can i make the piston moving at the same time?

But when i use ml, or md, the comand always goes to m. Looks like two letters doesn't work.

Hello   We can extract feature element tree and find out which edges would have been used for generation of chamfer feature.   As we all know, it is possible to have two different sets of edges for chamfer creation. Through element tree, we are able to get edges used into definition of chamfer feature.   Chamfer creates additional edges and we can identify all edges due to chamfer feature using feature geom item visit.   We would like to map how to map two edges one which was used in edge definition with edge generated due to chamfer.   Feel free to ask for clarification if something is not clear.

 Hello, has anyone experience with graphic card NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 2060, for CREO design. I work with some full parametric designs, and the projects that I develop, can have up to 4000 components (the most complexes). I have defined a budget to the computer, and I was trying to have a better processor instead a quadro graphics, for the same money. In the end of a project, is quite normal to have 5 to 10 minutes in regeneration. I was trying to reduce as much as possible this value.   Any experience?

Currently we have a dtl file stored on a shared drive and the site config.pro points to this dtl file. I would like to move the dtl file onto windchill but Im not sure if I need to. Our drawing templates are stored on Windchill and it seems like they already have had a dtl file applied and when creating a new drawing from template the dtl file specified in the config.pro is ignored, is this correct, can I just update the templates with the new dtl file and them upload the templates into Windchill?

When I try to load my creo 2.0 student editon on my computer i keep recieving " Fatal error encountered" message, Please what do i do to solve this problem? Thanks!!!

still learning the warp too and need some help i've got a rubber strap that is modeled in its moulded state but for the assemble it need both end bent down. part is modeled with the csys at the center of the part. the first end is easy to setup. bend axis sits on the top plan as this is the middle of the part, moved the pivot to one end so that the unbent part stays in its original position. the second end is not so easy as i cant get the bend axis to sit on the top plane, if you click center axis is puts it half way through the now bent part. and moving the axis when you are looking normal on the end of it doesn't work. moving the axis when the model is at a strange angle is difficult to get it where you want. also what do the marquee refs do? effectively, in the enclosed image how do i drag the marquee box up and down. i need the yellow bend axis to be on the top plane of the part. any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,   Is it possible to refer any parameters which defined in Tools => Parameters, when I create user defined measures in Mechanism ( Analysis => Measures)?    I have a sheave in the assembly and the diameter of the sheave is defined by a parameter. And I want to define a variable in the Mechanism which is related to the diameter parameter. But I don't know how to refer the parameter in the variable expression. I don't fine a way to define a variable to represent the diameter size in Mechanism Measures neither.    Could you give me help?   Thanks, ZR

Scenario: 1. Export ASSEMBLY.drw table (Repeat Region) to xlxs; 2. Edit "part number" for all assembly parts in Excel; 3. Import edited xlxs to ASSEMBLY.drw table (auto changing integer value of parameter PART_NUMBER according with edited assembly.xlxs for all *.prt files).   For first and second step I have no problem, but how to do the third step? Is there a way to query every dimension/feature on a model? Frequently I am given a task to update a drawing based on a model that has been updated by another person. To ensure that the drawing I update has all the changes, I want to query all features/dimensions from the new and old model, compare the lists (probably vlookup), and make a checklist of everything that needs to be updated in the drawing.   Creo kind of does this already with features (Tools > Feature List), but I haven't seen anything for individual dimensions.   Thanks for your time!

We are working on updating ModelCHECK for go live of Creo 7. We are upgrading from Creo 5. Now that a default material is assigned in Creo 7 we are looking for another way to flag a material not being assigned. I thought using MATERIAL_DENSITY check would work however it is always an error or always a warning. It seems like the density is always reported as 0.000000 for the material card even though there is an actual value. Has anyone had any luck with this check in Creo 6 or 7? What am I missing?

We just upgraded to Creo 6 (from 3.0). All our legacy data was made with datum callouts per ANSI 1982. (Datum under dimension).   One of my users reports trouble changing a datum to show this way. The datum in question is showing per ASME 1994.   The properties window for datums used to have this as a radio button, but that's gone now.   I also know there was once a config option (.dtl I think, but maybe .pro) for how datums are displayed, but I cannot find this option now.   Does this option still exist? If so, what is it? How do we show datum callouts under dimensions now. (Aside from faking it with the @[-A-@] cheat.)

Possible future releases could increase hole formation type based on common machining practices such as reaming, boring, double sided counter boring.  Based on CNC machining practices the data then created would automatically tell the CNC machine the machining cycle to be used.   Also increase of thread types to include imperial threads such as BSW / BSF / BSP

Anyone encountered this?   I have five pretty massive bundles of wires, each with a diameter of about 8 mm, coalescing into a single bundle. I put on one bundle with 1 mm wall thickness to represent the shielding, then bundle that again with a shrink tube (also about 1 mm wall thickness) The resulting bundle has a diameter of 13 mm. This is not reasonable, and I can clearly see how the five bundles overlap by a lot as they enter that one superbundle.   Does anyone know a fix for this?

Hello,   Our standard practice was to use the default welding and we would make the welds appear solid through the detail options. We updated to Creo 5.0 and found we could make solid welds, which then can be 'machined' (whereas the default weld material was a quilt/cosmetic feature). This is great except that the crosshatching in the drawing reverts back to it's original formatting when we check it in. I've tried a couple things:   I've checked out both the assembly and the drawing files (while normally it could just be done in the drawing) and I can get it appearing correct on the drawing temporarily, but once checked in the Creo View will show otherwise. I've tried to set the hatching in the model beforehand, but still get the same issue.   Not sure if this helps, but I've occasionally had issues where the solid weld will suddenly want to create it's own part file to be checked into Windchill. Piling on Andreas' questions.Does anyone know the future of Creo Parametric Toolkit (formerly known as Pro/TOOLKIT)?At one point, PTC (Bipin Kochar) said as of Creo Parametric 6, Creo Parametric Toolkit would be replaced by Object Toolkit. After taking over, Mark Fischer said that was no longer the situation.Thanks for any update.Bob Monat
