Hello, right now I have Creo with MDO and advance simulation. I have seen other threads using MDO for Drop test simulation. I was wondering if say I simulated the object dropping is there a way with my simulation to see the stresses/deformation present in the object after dropping.   Thank you

We have dozens of older parts/drawings that were made before we found our footing with Creo... Now, whenever we open an older part/drawing and try to bring it up to snuff (adding shaft tolerances, using the block tolerance for what doesn't need to be explicit, etc.) someone has to make a note of all the existing tolerances because changing from ANSI to ISO changes all the explicitly set tolerances to the "standard".   I understand this might be useful to some people, some of the time - but am I really to understand that this "best of the best" software package isn't smart enough - or can't be configured - to leave what is explicitly set, well enough alone?

Hi, I have a lot of "imported feature" files that seem to slow the parent assembly when opening, rotating and zooming the view.I believe this is related to the fact that CREO 9.0 tries to access the local path T:\DEFINITIVI\... linked to the imported 3D model: is there a way to unlink the 3D model from the original file path?   Thank you

I'm trying to exclude parts from the BOM. I was instructed to open Repeat Regions, then select Filters, then click on the BOM and 2 options would appear, Remove: By Rule or Buy Item. But it will not even let me click on the BOM. Not sure why its not functioning properly.

Hello Everyone Does anyone know how to adjust the CL tool path player simulation speed. With the slider set to as slow as possible, it is way too fast to see anything useful, there must be a way to alter the playback speed of the tool path player. Thank you Peter

Hi all,   I am learning how to run a thermal analysis on a PCB using CREO. I do not have a ECAD-MCAD license. I got some sample PCBs from KICAD and tried importing it to CREO. I tried using a .emn and .emp file extensions but only a rectangle was imported. Then I tried importing it as a .step file. It loaded all the components. But I am not able to get the Vias, Copper Routing, Solder masking etc nothing on my CREO. How can I import the PCB file properly on CREO? A proper guide to this will be very much appreciated as I am a beginner using CREO for ECAD. Kind Regards, Naresh  

Hi, Just joined the community, and I got some doubts in applying color coding thru EMX. I'm not still not quite good in editing parameters. and just want to implement this in our shop. so detailing will be minimized. for example I want to differentiate relief hole to a sliding fit holes (screw hole and Dowel hole).   Kindly, I want to know how to control this color coding. kindly site some examples and where to locate the configuration and how to set it up.   thank you,   Christopher,

I’m simulating a machine where a thin sheet is cut and then folded to form an envelope around a separator. The motion study is done in Creo Mechanism, and I plan to render in KeyShot, but I can’t get the sheet’s actual deformation in Creo. I’m thinking of animating the sheet in Blender and then bringing that together with the exported Creo assembly mechanism for the KeyShot render. Has anyone tried this?

Just got a new laptop, Dell Precision 7770 w/ an Nvidia RTX A4500 laptop GPU.  I'm having some graphics issues and want to revert back to the PTC certified drivers for this platform for testing.  I'm currently on version 581.15 video drivers but I need to get back to 511.79 which is back in the 2022 timeframe. Anyone have any ideas on where the Nvidia driver archive is located?  I've tried searching their support site but it only goes back so far. Creo 8.0.0.0 Thanks...

Why is Floating license needed to use replace feature in assembly. When picked new-assembly-interchange- OKError message: You have not checked out the license option. Please click "File->Options->Floating Licenses" and choose required option. SEE IMAGE ATTACH

Hi all,I have a broken piece I need to fix. How can I superimpose the pic in sketcher to draw exact profile to match and give me a accurate or close match. I have to make the red piece (See Image). I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.0.0Dear PTC Support Team,We recently upgraded our Creo software from version 8 to version 11. Since this upgrade, some users have reported a significant decrease in the quality of 2D drafting outputs. Specifically, when zooming out in 2D drawings, the lines and texts appear blurred and less sharp compared to Creo 8.We have thoroughly checked the graphics card settings on the affected workstations, and everything appears to be correctly configured. Additionally, we have tested all the solutions recommended in the PTC community article (Article - CS169272) without success.Could you please confirm if there are any known graphics-related issues in Creo 11 that could cause this blurring effect? Furthermore, we would appreciate any effective workarounds or fixes that you could provide to resolve this issue.Thank you very much for your assistance.

Hi I want to transfer Solidworks properties into PTC Creo, I am able to directly open the solidworks part through the unite technology but when I look at the parameters tab my solidworks properties don't have a unit quantity or unit. Is there a way to transfer these aswell?

Hi,  When I was working with Solidworks, there were options in sub-assemblies to show, hide or promote the components under it.  When the option is set to "promote",  all components in this sub assemblies were shown in the drawing BOM in the upper assembly drawing. If it was set to "Hide", then the sub-assembly was treated like a part in upper level assembly drawing BOM.  It is a common practice to gather parts together so they can be used as a group.  It seems there is no easy way to do it in Creo.  I made a parameter called "SYSTEM_TYPE" and set the value to "Phantom_Assy", then tried to use 2 repeat regions and use filter to include and exclude parts with this value. But I couldn't make it work. Has anyone tried and success? I attach a diagram here showing what I am looking for.  The BOM in GA drawing should contain comp1, Assy1. Comp3 and Comp4.  Assy2 is a phantom assembly and doesn't show in the BOM.  Thanks for the

Hello All,  I am checking the carrying capacity of I section beam. I have applied 3000kg of load downwards divided equally into 8 bottom lugs. Two top lugs are tied to sling/rope leading towards a single point. I have created beams in creo simulate 7.0 to replicate the ropes using two end points - one on lug and one on top at a certain height..see attached pictures for your referenceHowever after running simulation I am observing a high point load on lug where the beam starts. This seems to be something unusual. I believe the load should spread on the hole of lifting lug. Can you please advise if you have any suggestion to improve the definition of sling/rope in creo simulate? is there any better way to perform it? I would highly appreciate your help with it.

getting invalid file or format while uploading the license file. tried saving it as ".txt" format but still doesn't works.

Hello,Right now we have a customer who is giving an NX file project, so we imported the model into creo and it was opened as an assembly and then I used IDD to clean it up. Now I need to extract one specific part as a (.prt file) since we will put it in CREO tool deisgn extension (which requires .prt file). I have tried (1) Copy/publish geometry however the part does not appear when I open it. I have tried (Shrinkwrap). however this option leaves holes in the surfaces. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

Hello, I am unable to change the width of a fiber shape. No matter what value of "width" I put in for shape properties of that fiber, the width remains the same on the diagram. Any help would be appreciated!Example: One of the fibers here has a width of "10" and the other had a width of "1" but it does not change the appearance 

Ordinate Dimension Orientation: I want to flip my Dimension text around 180 Degrees.  My Parts 0 is at the left of my drawing and is the bottom of my part. And what is at the right would be the top.  So I want the bottom of my text facing the other way.    Any Ideas. I don't have room to flip my text horizontal.     

Hi Guys,  I'm working on the rollout of MBD and boost in my company and facing a few problems that I can't find solutions for.   I'm exporting Sheetmetal parts to CreoViewer (.pvz file) with a combination state set as the flat pattern, but the export combination state does not reflect the Creo displayed model.  CREOVIEWER FLAT DISPLAY STATE:Creo Parametric Flat Display State:  If Someone could point me in the correct direction to get these creo PVZ file to export with the same info as creo parametric that would be ideal.  I've alot people who have abandoned all hope over this small problem.

I have a fairly simple parting faces quilt that I need to finish out but I can't get the boundary seam of the opposing cylinders to become tangent.  After completing the parting faces quilt I need to use the thicken option to uniformly thicken these faces to build a gutter model; as is I can only thicken the quilt to about .125 where it will need to be .500 in thickness.Shown below is the area I am struggling with.  The highlighted edges show the area that I am working on.  I have penciled the non-tangent seams in red.I have attempted different options from Boundary Blend to the Style function.  I have attempted this with and without curve rails in the red highlighted areas.   I know that there naturally is an area of twist due to the conflicting up facing and down facing cylinder extrudes.  Might there be some kind of option that would iron out the natural seams to allow tangency throughout?  (I also tried this as a simple 4 sided boundary

While using the Creo plugin within Hexagon’s PC-DMIS to load an MBD model, I’m seeing some additional dimensions in PC-DMIS that were not actually created in Creo MBD Model.I’ve checked the annotations and combination states—everything looks clean in Creo. Is this a known issue with the plugin or PMI interpretation?Any suggestions to control or filter what PC-DMIS reads from the Creo model would be helpful.
