It was a pleasure to meet some of you at the recent TC conferences inBoston. I have a user who is complaining that the fonts in his embeddedbrowser windchill are too small. I went to his computer to check andsure enough they were smaller than normal. This user does not normallywork at my site. Is there some type of option to control these fontsizes in the embedded browser? Hes using WF5 on a Win7 64 machine, WC 9.1.Thanks,Mark SteffkeEngineering System AdministratorThe Delfield CompanyManitowoc FoodserviceT 989.775.9215 or 989.773.7981, ext 12484Integrity, Commitment to Stakeholders, and Passion for Excellence
Header pretty much speaks for itself. I have flexible dimensions in some parts. I assemble several of these parts and use surface references to define these flexible dimensions, then I'd like to have a BOM of all these parts that lists their flexible dimensions. Driving length/width/height parameters from relations doesn't update them to the flexible dimensions (only returns the dX values that are in the original model), so it doesn't seem like I can use asm.mbr.<user_defined> to show these dimensions. Seems simple enough, but I just can't seem to find it. Any thoughts?
Was trying to analyse reflections on my surface, it results in weird patches blocking the reflection, any advice to change config settings to get rid of this? Thanks!
Hello! I started learning the API for Creo Parametric.I am doing an install_test example ( https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article?n=CS245175 ). I compiled the code, got the classes, but now I don’t know where to place them so that Creo can read them. I open Creo, and there is not what I need.Do I need to run the resulting classes? Here is the result: In the link I indicated there are points: start Creo Set the current folder as the working directory Register the application with the shipped file protk.dat Start the application called InstallTest I am not sure that I correctly made points 2,3. And I do not know how to do this point 4. Help me please. Best regards
Question for Creo 4 users: I'm creating a sheetmetal part with several instances, each with their own overall length and width parameters based on the flat pattern. The overall length changes from instance to instance. I can get each instance to properly show length and width after regenerating it, but checking the part into windchill and back out often resets the length and width parameters back to the generic's. This doesn't affect the model, but it does affect what I'm trying to show on its drawing. Any ideas on what's going on here?
So...how will this affect Creo Development? https://www.ptc.com/en/about/onshape
I am trying to get a curvature like the photo attached, however it ended up as a sharp edge, attached my part file, I don't know what my mistake is.
Hello everyone, I have mapkey for certain task for one part. How to convert this mapkey into multiple parts.?? Thanks in Advance.!!
I want to use Creo with browser in a separate window because I'm better with Windchill.Since Creo 5 I have not problems, but now with C6 is has disappeared the command (in Options) to set the width. There is a solution or a workaround? Thanks
Simulate features (loads, rigids, constraints, mesh settings, etc.) from a part level analysis also are brought into assemblies. I want to have separate analyses on some of the parts themselves and my assembly as a whole. Is there a simple way to hide all the simulate features from the part analysis when I open simulate in my assembly?
kindy help me i need to change bend radius of sheetmetal part globally that contains many bends
I want to apply load on particular region only instead of whole surface. I tried lot but able to identify option in Simulate live. Can any one help me on that ?Note :: In Normal creo simulate, we use surface region
In trying to create a datum curve through a points table with 88 points, it fails if I select the points group from the browser. However, if I select each point in order individually, it works. Any Thoughts? Copy of the file is included
I'm getting into a fairly complex assembly using a combination of Pro/Program and Relations. This is the first time I've gone this deep into a model using assembly-level Pro/PROGRAM, so I'd like to know if anybody has any tips or best practice advice for using both P/P and Relations together. For instance (and my main question), is it best to write relations in the top assembly that drive features in lower-level subassemblies or parts, or is it better in the long run to pass parameters down to lower levels through the use of EXECUTE statements? I can see merit to using either way, but I'm hoping to avoid running into unforeseen problems in using one way over the other. FYI, I'm using top-level parameters to do two things mostly: 1) Drive lower level dimensions and 2) drive lower-level conditional statements (if/then/else) within Pro/PROGRAM. Thanks in advance

Hi. Haven't posted on here in nearly ten years. Nothing personal but we switched back to Autodesk products. The problem is that all of our Pro E Wildfire 4 & 5 assemblies were then dragged into our Vault... not checked in using the Vault add in for Pro E. Our libraries were then zipped and moved to an archived network location. Our licenses have all lapsed, of course, and the software is not installed anywhere. The original disks we have do not work to install, either. Bottom line: How screwed are we? CREO Viewer will allow me to view parts only, or drawings of single parts. I cannot view assemblies, or drawings of assemblies. Any magic we can perform to at least view these older designs?
I am having an issue on multiple Windows 10 machines where the Flex LM service is crashing multiple times a day. This seems to be linked to licenses that have been installed in the last 90 days. The license server is being installed as part of a Creo 4 M080 install with a local license for each machine.
Once our drawings are done, our harness mfg facility exports it to Autocad and adds the following mfg views of exploded assys and colored wire locations. Has anyone successfully and easily done this in Creo? Using Creo 3 currently. Thanks in advance!
Hi all, Could have searched this. But in somewhat of a hurry to get this done. I am looking to blank certain cells in my bom that have the parameter "material" in the repeat region. How do I write the relation? Thanks, WayneF
hi, my student creo said The file C:1Program Files\PTC1Creo 3.01M1101Common Files\textkrosshatch\isoliso_alloy_steel.xch was created with a commercial version of Creo Parametric and is not compatible with the version of Creo Parametric Student Edition (for educational use only) you are running. HiI have an assembly which I opened in Creo 4.0.I come to know that it has so many issues like missing components, missing reference edges or surfaces. Can I extract this details in some sort of report ?
Does anyone know how to add the diameter symbol to the position tolerance by default? OR.... There is a constant value of .002 that pops up as the default value for GDT - anyone know where that is store?
I cannot find a descriptive list with the built in help document for creo relation functions. I would like to see a comprehensive list of all available relation functions. Example, would include the function EXISTS. I know how it works I'm just giving an exmaple so someone out there might be able to search and find a list which contains this function. PTC documentation is less than desireable.
