Customizing the pop up/hover display of creo parametric model names in the graphics window to include an additional parameter such as Title or PTC_COMMON_NAMEIs this just straight up an enhancement or is there a current customization method freely available? For example. In my screenshot it shows: SYNTAX -->ITEM:F#(FEAT TYPE):FILENAMEOn Screen --> Edge:F5(IMPORT FEATURE):601301I want to show the same plus an additional Parameter to the right of FILENAME such as PTC_COMMON_NAME as in my mockup (Green Box) below.
I am having an issue with printing Creo drawings. Every time I print a drawing, the print comes out with a very thick outline. I am attaching pictures to better explain my issue. The left picture shows a drawing view, and the right picture shows the print view. I recently switched from SolidWorks to Creo and never had this issue with SolidWorks, so I don't know how to fix these outlines. Any help would be greatly appreciated.drawing viewprint view
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.3.0Is it possible to factor in gravity in cabling design to get a more realistic representation of slack and mass effect? I haven't found any related article or post in the community.
As a disabled user with only one hand, I need a way to setup Creo Parametric to only use Mouse buttons for PAN. This is the only function that I cannot seem to find a work around from Shift + RMB to PAN in my model. Yes, I can use the Pan icon and have been doing that, but it is extra clicks and impacts productivity. Other CREO PTC applciations have the ability to modify and control the Pan/Zoom/Rotate features (Creo View, Creo Elements etc), Creo Parametric does not have this ability for those of us that need accomidations due to physical disability and limitations. When will this be fixed for the user community?
Hello, Looking for the information to import the wirelist from Capital(Mentor Graphics). i am trying to use wire information from capital harness and creating 3d cad in creo. I have downloaded the xml from creo but when importing the xml getting below error message. these are the file extension i exported from mentor graphics.

I am using Creo Parametric 5.0 5.0.6.0How to configure installation so run Node Locked license before running Floating Server License? A user has a Node Locked license, but also needs access to Floating Server license pool. When user runs Creo, floating license is pulled first. The goal is to pull Node Locked license first.
I have a customised table for fetching all parts all parts from model tree . But the error in the table is it does not display alphabetically / in order of the model tree. E.G:- it goes like 001,003,002. but I need it configured as in order. Can anyone help. Attached is the file. Thanks in advance
Hi, Do we have an option to create an animation for Hose/Flexible pipe in Creo? Appreciate for your response. ThanksNaresh
Hello,I have a network folder where the icon is in the path F:\Config\Creo\Splash\Icone.ico , when I go to put an image on the CREO icon on the desktop it doesn't appear, the folder has all the permissions because CREO is saved normally, but the image doesn't appear, what could it be?
I know it's a weird Q. I thought worth still asking. Options to build cable, like something as shown in image attached. THANKS!
Consider that I have an assembly model with me which is designed in a different CAD software (Eg.: SW, NX...)Now, I have imported that geometry into CREO environment. Now, I`d like to find out the mass properties, Centre of Gravity & Inertia of the same imported assembly. This is where the question comes in... Now, if I don`t define the material properties, is there any way to find out the above mentioned parameters??? Because I have heard that SW has this feature & I`m curious if CREO works this way or not. Please feel free to answer. I`d humbly appreciate your replies. CiaoSrikar Sarma
I am using Creo Parametric Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.2.0I've built a PRO/Toolkit project in exe (SPAWN) mode. While registering it, I'm getting the following error. Here are the errors that I faced"Foreign program did not initialize properly; a communication problem may have occurred."
Hello team, in one of our use case, we need to show multiple WTPart's details in a drawing as a table format. there could be 100 WTParts with ~15 attributes each. so the data will be sppaned across multiple sheets. as of now design engineer has to manually create table and fill in all the data and we want to automate the process. Solution:fetch the data from windchill using queryspec and populate the as "Parameters" of the drawingcreate a "Table Template" as file with '&variables' as key and add same Key values in 'Parameter' table.user then will select the table template from 'Table From File' option and place it on drawing, the drawing will automatically fill out the variable values from 'Parameter' section. downside too many parameters are getting generated as of now. if drawing has 20 related WTParts with 20 values to be shown the 20 x 20 = 400 key values pairs will get generated. but it saves a lot of manual data filling.we have to create a table templ
Greetings, Regarding the Creo AFX start_mdl.cfg file (start part information), is there a way to: Specify tolerancing standard (ANSI/ASME or ISO/DIN)?Specify separate Part and Assembly parameters (our start part and start assembly parameters are slightly different)? We are currently using Creo 11.0.3.0. Thank you, Matt Steed
I am not able to find the enclosure volume. option not highlighted.
Hi all, I would like to know if someone can help me to give an direction what's the best path for me in Creo. Not fully new in 3d, was CAM programmer for over 10 years. (other program than Creo)Switched now to Additive Manufacturing, and would like to help the engineers with some questions. Only thing is i cannot design in creo yet. (did some playlists in the PTC learner, but that doesn't make me an engineer.)I would like to learn how to use the Topological designing and design for additive manufacturing. But i don't know what path is the best to walk. I cannot find the requirements if you want to follow the training : Generative Topology Optimization.I understand that the fundamentals would be helpful, but what kind of training is advice before starting with topology? Thank you,Kind regards, Danny
Hi allI'm using inheritance .prt to .prt model links.I'm getting 3 different icons shown in the model tree. andCan someone explain the different meanings of these 3 variants?I already checked the information in Model Tree Icon List - PTC Community Thanks a lot in advancePius We are using Creo Paramterics 8.0.4.0,
Hello,We are experiencing difficulties opening drawings directly from the model . Currently, our designers have to manually go to the server information(Windchill), navigate to the content tab, find the drawing reference, and only then open the drawing. Is there a way to use Creo JS to programmatically find the drawing reference associated with the current model in Windchill, and then automatically download and open it?Any advice or example scripts would be greatly appreciated!
I want to understand the need for the memory allocation limits of 16 Gb for 64 bit machines?? i understand the need of having enough memory for the operating system, but now that machines with 32, 64 and even 128 Gb are comun. I am asking this because i have a model that the global matrix profile is around 100 Gb on the last pass of the MPA analysis and I am working on a machine with 128Gb of RAM
Hello, how can I replace in simulation those kind of bolted joints so preload is included. I need to create linear simulation with bolted joints and analyse those joints so they are accurately represented. The problem is Creo simulate can't create bolted joint while there are more than two parts bolted togeather. Can those bolted joints be recreated as a beam structure or any kind of spring structure?Thank you in advance
I opened this Topic a little while ago, and accepted what seemed to be a solution, but it is only a band-aid, not a full solution. It does not always work. Since that topic is "Solved" I am opening this as a follow up. The previous topic is: "Where is the Explode > Reset Component Position Function?" located at https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Where-is-the-Explode-gt-Reset-Component-Position-Function/m-p/1017403 The Toggle Explode is misleading as I mentioned in a response on the other thread. Now, here is an example where the Toggle does not place components back to the original location like the "Explode > Reset" did. This is as close as I can get. If I Toggle explode on any of these, it sends them out into space. Where is the Explode > Reset Position function? In case you don't know, there was an excellent function for working with explode states called "Reset" which would put the compone
Hi everyone, I am working in Java with Creo's OTK, and through JLink, I was able to connect to the currently running Creo Session. I want to add an ActionListener to my session object that detects when the session terminates. So far, I have this:class CreoTerminationListener extends ActionListener_u implements AsyncActionListener { @Override public void OnTerminate(TerminationStatus terminationStatus) { System.out.println("Termination detected!"); }}After loading in the pfcasyncmt library, I retrieve the session as such:AsyncConnection async = null;try { async = pfcAsyncConnection.AsyncConnection_Connect(null, null, null, 5);} catch (Exception e) { System.err.println(e);}if (async == null) { System.err.println("Async connection to Creo not established!"); return;}Session sess = async.GetSession();creoTerminationListener = new CreoTerminationListener();sess.AddActionListener(creoTerminationListener);Then, I start an HTTP server through Creoson which communicates with the Creo clien

If anyone does have those permissions and agrees with the idea, feel free to add it. https://community.ptc.com/t5/Creo-Ideas/ct-p/creoideas)Dear PTC Product Management Team, I’d like to propose a new feature for future releases of Creo Cabling: the ability to save and manage multiple cable routing states within a single cable assembly—similar to how flexible components work. ### Proposed functionality:- **Save named states** of a routed cable (e.g. “Straight,” “Routed Around Hinge,” “Slack”).- **Load or switch** between these states at will.- **“Straighten” button** to automatically place intermediate nodes in a straight line between connectors (much like the sheetmetal flatten tool).- Connector positions would also be flexible when swapping shape states. This would improve workflows significantly, removing the need for
