I created an assembly using skeleton and I want to create a mirrored copy. I tried to save as a copy but I think that due to the complexity, the result presents errors. I just want to save it as a mirror, but it could be as an IGES part. I'm saving an iges and opening the iges and mirroring it, but in Windchill this process is slow. Is there any more direct way to do this?
Hello, I am exploring the piping option to use in our assemblies. Because we are working with a PLM system (Windchill), I need to embed the pipe pieces created with the piping option. Otherwise each little piece of pipe will get an article number in Windchill. What I would like to get is for the assembly that contains the embedded parts, to get a parameter: materialcode & length for each type of pipe used.Any other ideas are welcome as well. The moral of the story is: The pipes are embedded but I want to be able to extract the materialcode and length of each type used, regardless of the amount of pipe pieces. Are there possibilities here? All I can find is a little menu that can tell me the length of certain pipes and store it, but it's not extractable nor does it update.
Hi all, After an upgrade in a drawing template, where i updated/deleted some symbols, annotations and change fonts. But, it seems that an old fonts is still present, because i have the message "***.ttf.ndx is not loaded. But for me, the annotations/ symbol which used this one are deleted. How can i purge the drawing template for all the fonts unused?I tried the options upadte_drawing all, the delete unused symbols options but without success. How can i clean my drawings template for unused fonts?
Hello all, I have a application which loads model into creo using ProMdlFiletypeLoad() and then I use a Macro using ProMacroLoad and ProMacroExecute. I have noticed that if my model is active in current window the ProMacroLoad does not work. It works only when there is no active model. What could be the reason and How can I solve this?
Hello Team, I have around 50+ points defined on a surface in the assembly using Coordinate system. Now I want to pull them in the drawing directly in a table. and this table should be parametric. Do we have such an option? I have already tried Hole table options, but with this the points will not get automatically updated in the drawing once they are moved in the assembly. Please provide an alternate way to fix my problem. Right now to make the table parametric I manually add the dimensions for the point in the drawing, copy its symbolic name and paste it inside the cell with a prefix "&", but i have to do this for all the 50+ and for both X & Y dimensions.
in Creo Parametric 7.0.3.0,Is there a function that allows me to make ALL hidden parts visible when I'm in an assembly?Obviously, I can go through and select them individually, but this is a large assembly and it's not worth the time of day to do all that. So is there a button that does them all at once?
Is there a way to project all edges from a surface into a sketch without having to select them all individually?I am running Creo 3 - M010Thanks in advance!
I am using Creo Parametric Release 6.0 and Datecode6.0.2.0Piping and Drafting features are not working for 1 user, whereas we already have licenses for Creo Enterprise SE with Pro/INTRALINK in which these features are included. Attached is the error screenshot from user's computer
I am using Creo Parametric Release 3.0 and DatecodeF000We need to uninstall a node-locked license from a user - and install it on a new computer.Need help
hello 🙂 I have a trouble. some dimensions I can't change orientation or move to another plane. like, I want to move Φ12 to the top view, it will tell me " you can not move the specified dimension to the selected view" What is the specified? I can't perform this action in the Annotate function too! thank you for your help
Hi Community I'm using Creo 11.0.1.0 When I import a STEP File that was created with Siemens NX 11, there are a lot of surfaces that fail.By optimizing the import settings, the load time was improved, but the surfaces still aren't ideal. Can anyone share a STEP Import Profile configuration? Thanks for your help! This is the STEP file header:ISO-10303-21;HEADER;/* Generated by software containing ST-Developer* from STEP Tools, Inc. Using Creo 8.0.11.0 and having some trouble getting an assembly to come together the right way. Major part of my problem is how parts refuse to move to satisfy the constraints on them like how I'm used to the SolidWorks mates work. Is there a config/setting I can change to make it function more like SolidWorks in that way? The rollback on the assembly while using edit definition is a whole other challenge adding onto this.
Hello, To build optional assemblies in our modular models, we use envelopes. An example of this would be an automatic greasing system. This system is optional and therefore it's essential for us that all of the parts associated with this option are all in one assembly. To build the assembly, we need a framework to constrain it to. That's where envelopes come in. We use an envelope of the base frame in the greasing assembly and constrain all parts to it. Other advantages is that we can place this assembly default in the main assembly and the factory can use the envelope to easily see where to mount the parts, while the envelope does not appear on the BOM.We noticed that in Creo 8 this would result in problems when modifying the Envelope (due to face IDs changing). Now, in Creo 10.0.4.0, this problem seems to have gone away, which is great. However, the company advising us told us Envelopes shouldn't be used in this way officially. My question therefore is: Is it a coincidence this pr
Good morning members of the Community! We have a client who wants to see how Creo Parametric performs compared to SoliWorks for large assemblies!!! Would any of you have an ideal config.pro for large assemblies that I could use in a demonstration?Client wants 30 licenses!Thank you very much,
Hey,When i want to install Creo 9, i want ro run the setup programm but, after starting it nothing happens, it doesnt even show up in the Task-Manager, Firewall is deactivated and im on the Administrator Account with all rights. Thanks for the Help.
Dear PTC-Community, I want to replace a section of a part with formula driven lattices (Gyroid in the example case).I also want to try out different shapes for the section to be replaced and have the same surface for each version. In the three examples below, the shape and position of the section to be replaced is slightly different.Different versions of slots going trough the part For each case, I am placing the first unit cell in the top left corner and orient it along the slot as shown here:Unit Cell orientation and placement I understand that as the Part is wound in space and does not consist of a straight surface, the unit cell gets "cut" in a different way depending on the position of the part to be replaced on the surface. Is there is a way to get the same surface for all three different positions? To have the unit cell align itself on a curved surface so to say. What I did try was to create a cuboid, replace it with lattices and then bend the cuboid manu
In Creo 9 and above what's the config rule "DEF_LAYER" to add "datums symbol feature" into a custom layer? Thank you
Hi,I need to get the COG coordinate of part with respect to assembly origin in drawing. For consider an assembly as shown bellowIn drawing file, I need to make table with part name, weight, Coordinates of center of gravity with respect to the main assembly(X,Y,Z). how to get it?
Hello I have a reference pattern created from geometry present in another part in assembly. Referenced pattern does not get updated automatically, when I update my parent/main feature. What could be the main reason refernce pattern does not get updated automatically when refernce with external geometry. I have also checked the update control is set to automatically . TIA

Still trying to track down what exactly is causing it but we upgraded to 9.0.9 a couple of weeks ago and it has been less stable then 9.0.7. Some of it appears to happen when mapkeys are called. Just an FYI if you are considering upgrading.
Does anyone have a way to convert a Creoview .pvz or .edz or .pvs file to an .fbx file for use in graphics applications? Many thanks in advance.
In short - I can't not see quilts that present threads within Hole feature, until I select them. Full explanation:Say I start a new empty part, model tree is completely empty aside from a few datum features: Now I create a demo quilt just to demonstrate that Creo settings are presumably correct and quilts are actually displayed. So far so good: Now I create a solid block with an M6 threaded hole (ignore the random dimmension sizes for the purpose of this example): A hole feature with thread quilt is created, as can be seen by selection highlight of the hole. However note that there is still only one quilt in the Quilts menu at the top of the tree created by the Fill feature, so it means that Hole didn't create its own new Quilt body@ Now I hide the solid block, and the quilt of the thread is also invisible. However, I can still hover the mouse over it, and it gets pre-select highlighted: I can select both sides of
I'm using Mechanism Feature to analyze a position of pin joint that is driven by a slider moving at a constant speed of 2 mm/s over a duration of 6 seco However, I'm having trouble understanding the graph when I select the "Measure vs Measure" option. The X-axis represents the joint's rotation in degrees, which makes sense. But I'm unsure what the Y-axis represents. Could someone please explain what the Y-axis measure might indicate in this context? or maybe explain whats the objective of Measure vs measure graph type.
