Hello everyone Could someone give me instruction how to add frame  for inspection dimension in Creo Direct Modeling/Annotation 20.0. The only possibility I found is to add balloon frame to dimension, but result is not nice and is not work for a single number see picture 1, but wish to have it like a std one see picture 2.

Dear Sir/ Madam.this is error license PTC Creo Elements/Direct Drafting work not good, plz help me with informations below.Last time we install Creo Elements/Direct Drafting version: 18 and managed license version 20.0 in win 7 - 32 bit this license and software working good. about 30 day Customer update win 10 -64 bit and install Creo Elements/Direct Drafting version: 18 and managed license version 20.0, some times license manager working some time it not working (we have many error). Plz help me support this problem.

How can I fill in a Drawing_2d attribute with an existing Masterdata attribute automatically when a new drawing is created?

I have recently installed Creo Elements / Direct Modelling Express and have a couple of errors on startup (refer attached). Can someone please shed some light on the issues. Thanks in advance!

Hello!   We have a small, but really irritating problem with our new Creo Modeling 20.1 installation - sometimes when we start with the program the tick in the Viewport settings for "Preselection Mode" is not there and must be manually activated. Any idea why this could be happening? Is there some kind of a keyboard button combination, which the engineers push unknowingly, which can cause that kind of behavior? Thanks in advance!

Hello Experts,   I have created a master drawing and master model, from which i generate individual drawings for few parts.The parts are long, so that, I've added Broken view in the drawing with multiple breaks. Now, there are few drawings, where I need to remove couple of the break points form the broken view due to some reason. This can be manually done by removing from view properties. But i would like to know if there is some automatic way to remove the required break point  upon generating the drawing. Can this be done by providing a condition in drawing program or use mapkey etc?   For example: In the attachment, drawing generated for Part A from the master drawing has multiple breaks. But when drawing is generated for Part B from the same master drawing, the highlighted break is not required. Any help would be really appreciated.   Thanks in advance

I have a model in Creo Direct express and need this to be saved as a Step file. I already contacted PTC to upgrade but I expect that the COVID has closed down communication. I want to upgrade to Creo 7 but don't get any reaction/ response from PTC.  Can anybody help me out in the meantime? I am in urgent need to get my Bundle in a Step file.  It would be highly appreciated. You can send me a message or an email so that I can share the model. Hello everyone,   I am trying to find where I can learn how to write a "repeatable" hot key. For some testing purposes I need to create one attribute in some 3D Models. I have of course no problem to create it manually 🙂 However, in order to check in the test assembly into a test server, I need to repeat it for all the components and sub assemblies and there are about 2000 of them.   I am trying to learn (unless someone talented and generous enough write the code in the post :)) how to create a hotkey or script that will go to all the prt and asm files in the session and create the attribute   ATTRIBUTE1, type string, value = xxxxx and it is a designated attribute.   Thanks a lot Best regards

Hello,   I know that my following query may not have a solution and I may be stuck doing everything over again. However, I am hoping some of you might have some insight on any tricks I can use to make my life easier.   What I am Trying to do: I have .mi files that are finished and ready to be sent to a manufacturer. However, I want to attach the corresponding 3D part to the .mi file so that an external person can reference the 3D geometry of the part without opening another file.   This essentially makes it function like a .BDL file where in one file I can access the part and the annotated drawing.   (Originally was only going to send .mi files...looking back I should have just saved everything as a .bdl file, but I no longer can)   Questions: 1) Is this possible? Can I import the corresponding part to the opened .mi file, have it sync up so that the 2D views correspond with a 3D view and save it as a BDL file? 2) If so, how do I sync up the 2D views with the 3

Currently, when a command is started from the mini toolbar, the full UI is not shown. Pressing shift+space will open up the full UI for the command. Is there a way to automatically show the full UI without having to hit shift+space? More often than not, I need the full ui open.

Hello,   I am trying to write a LISP routine to iteratively create views of all open models. I found some stuff on the internet but am not able to modify it properly to get what I want. I also tried using the inbuilt Recorder to get some lisp..   Can someone help me on how do I loop through a list of things.. parts in this case and perform a set of actions on each of them? Does anyone have advice on how to move my individual CREO Elements Direct license to a new computer?  I'm retired and don't expect to use it to make money, so I'm not enthused about paying annual subscription fees.  I just want to be able to use my old version for personal projects without having to count on a 6-year-old computer.

Hello all,   In the "Save to Model Manager" window it is possible to check a box with "Add PDF". This generates a PDF of the moment the drawing is saved and attaches it to the masterdata. After saving it and getting it checked the drawing state of the drawing is changed to released by our purchaser. The names and dates of approving and releasing are shown on the drawing, but will appear after opening the drawing again.   This information is not visible on the pdf that is generated during saving. When using the batchplot function (send to plotter), this is visible on the printed drawing. One way to get this information on the pdf in the model manager is to open the drawing in creo annotation, then under the tab Model Manager, click add pdf.    This means that our purchaser should open every drawing he releases, and click add pdf to update the drawing pdf with the approve and release information. The sd-inq-part-density command can be modified to find the density of the contents, instance or realized.  However; I cannot get the kind option to work.     I added this to a lisp (sd-inq-part-density part (kind :contents))   but this does not work.  With out the (kind :contents) it works find.   Any suggestions?   Below is copied from the help in Version 19.1.   (sd-inq-part-density part &optional (kind :realized)) Description: Returns density of the specified part.
