Hello dear community members,   how do you deal with the fact that the toolkit DLLs you compile depend on other DLLs (e.g. any open source libraries)?As far as I know, the additional DLLs are only found when starting the auxiliary application in Creo if they are located in the Creo startup directory or a directory of the PATH environment variable.Or do you know a way for Creo to find the additional DLLs even if they are in the same directory as the Toolkit DLL itself?   Thanks and regards,Domenic

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode9.0.0.0ProMdlModificationVerify -> API Giving Modified Flag always True for particular Sub-Assembly. Even after Save and reopen . Since it is a Customer part we are unable to share the Assembly with you . If needed we can connect for Remote debugging .

Hi, I've been trying to connect to creo using Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications in Excel and it didn't work whatever I've tried.  Let's start from my setup:Those are system variables that I'm using. I've registered vb_api using vb_api_register.bat in administrator mode I've added Creo VB Api......... to References   I'm not trying to open creo using api. Hello,I would like to ask You if it´s possible set the gap between leader(dimension) line and dimension text (on the picture).  I tried to use dim_text_gap but it doesn´t work as we wanted. i found article that is impossible ( https://community.ptc.com/t5/3D-Part-Assembly-Design/Increase-dimension-offset-from-leader/td-p/616756 ) Just want to make sure, that still valid. Hello, i would like to ask you for help. I would like to modify dimensions symbols. In drawing, when you click on dimension and want to modify dimension text. There is symbol pallet. (diameter, +/-.) I would like to edit these smybols. Can you help me how to do it? Can I use Qt to customizate Creo parametric UI, or can I use some outside pragrams to invoke toolkit api to controll creo (spawn is too slow).I don't think it is a good idea to use MFC dialog in today's developing. It's a bit outdated and hard to build complex page or platform. Can I create a simple embedded http server in Creo, maybe I can send http request to remote control? Hope your suggestion.   

Hi,is possible launch creo parametric at a specific location on the screen?I use windows_scale 0.5 and the window moves to the top left.I would like to open more at the top right, down left & down right. Thanks 

Hi there, I use a Logitech Master MX Master 2S, and currently have no use or shortcut for the side scroll when using Creo Parametric (If anyone does have any please let me know!). Does anyone know how, or if it's even possible to add a shortcut that allows panning or rotation when the side scroll is activated? Thanks, Robbie     

Hello, I would like to ask you a question about using the creatolkit dialog box.You are using the dialog box by creating a dialog with ProUIDialogCreate and enabling it with ProUIDialogActivate.The feature I created was considered to open the dialog box periodically, so I don't want to use ProUIDialogDestroy and I want to close the dialog only with ProUIDialogExit.However, there is a problem that the dialog box does not close when using ProUIDalogExit.The code says PRO_TK_NO_ERROR is returned and error-free. I'm brand new to Creo 8.0 after spending the last 15 years using Inventor.  I typically use the pan feature much more frequently than orbit and I would like to swap the functionality so that clicking the MMB allows me to pan, and holding shift while clicking the MMB allows me to orbit.  I did see someone had asked this question back in 2017 and there was no solution given, but I am wondering if anything has developed since then.  Thanks!

Hello, I'm trying to import a drawing file to the prt selected by creo using ProSelectionDrawingGet. However, the error PRO_TK_E_NOT_FOUND appears and cannot proceed. Looking at the meaning, it means no associated drawing found, but I have a drw file in the model file. I would appreciate it if you could let me know if I misunderstood this function or if it was used incorrectly. Thank you. 

Hi,   The Toolkit API can calculate the model's outer angle size through ProSolidOutlineCompute. This function can exclude some elements such as datum features and curves. Surfaces and hidden features cannot be excluded from ProSolidOutlineCompute() calculations. We'd like to hear your thoughts on ideas for solving these problems. 1. Exclude hidden features and surfaces of the active model, convert to STEP, and then RETRIVE to perform ProSolidOutlineCompute().: It takes a lot of time2. Use ProSolidFeatstatusGet to visit the Geomitem of features excluding surfaces and hidden features to find the minimum and maximum points of XYZ.   If you have any better ideas, please help.   Warm Regards, SeonHo CHA.

I am working on creating an application to insert parts into an assembly. I want to be able to recognize that a model being has predefined flexibility. When operating Creo manually if you insert a model with predefined flexibility Creo will tell you that and ask if you want to use it. However there does not seem to be an equivalent function in the C++ toolkit.What I have been trying to use is the method wfcWModel::isVariantFeatModel(), however this always returns false. I have tried using pfcSession::RetrieveModel() and pfcSession::GetModelFromFilename() to retrieve the model before checking it, but both yield the same result.I am hoping that someone may have some insight to make this work.I will also note that the method wfcWComponentFeat::IsFlexible() exists but this will only recognize components that already have flexibility 'turned on'

For an automated Windchill authentication Creo Toolkit provides the command ProBrowserAuthenticate to preset login and password information for subsequent Toolkit calls which require authentication and authorization like ProServerWorkspacesCollect, ProServerObjectsCheckin, etc. At the moment many companies are moving from password based access to SSO (single-sign-on) by Shibboleth and therefor the old approach does not work anymore. Is there any workflow existing to provide the credentials from SSO by the Toolkit API?    

Hello Could you please help me with the issue below ? When I create a new setting in a material inside CREO data base (for example, norm_material), I incorporate the setting into the material in order to it see in the part list on the drawing.  For that I use the following formula : norm = norm : MTRL_XX (XX means increment). The issue here is : It does not work because of the increment. I don't want to add the norm manualy on each part, I want the material to  add automatically the norm from the materail setting into the part list instead. Like that i can change the part material and the linked norm follow with. Looking forward for your return.Thanks in advance Kind regards,

Hello, I am working on a few automation projects on Creo 4.0 using the VBA API toolkit.I have set a macro that searches for empty layers in my model and deletes them : this works as intended but after running the macro, the deleted layers still show in the layer tree.They can't be interacted with so they are indeed taken as deleted, but hitting regenerate, or repaint does not erase them from the tree, for the regenerate it is because for creo there is nothing to regenerate (I get the message 'part' not changed since last regen)However, if I do any change in the model (add a sketch or an extrude), the layer tree refreshes and removes the deleted layers.I am looking for any idea to get the layer tree to refresh because even though the intended function works just fine and I can just keep going and it'll update after a change, I don't find it "tidy" to have these ghost layers lying around ^^ I thought about creating a dummy sketch to force the regen and then delete it, but I wonder i
