Dear community,I have an CREO 4.0 M080 installation with an external application which is not provided by me. I asume it to be a toolkit application (dlls are present). Startup of CREO is without GUI. Creo is closed by external application after the tasked has successfully finished. I coded a OTK java free application initalised by a protk.tk file, which runs fine stand-alone without the other application. In combination with the toolkit app it does not work. It seems that my java app comes second, but since the toolkit app closes the CREO session this is the wrong order of starting the two external applications. Do you know how I can start the java application before the other (toolkit) application? In general: I don't understand how the other application get's initialised without protk/creotk.dat file. Any ideas? Kind regardsMichael

Is there any software/tools to automate mechanism analysis runs and measures? If so, which ones and how?

 Dear community,I am trying to use a pfcCommand.DefaultUICommandBracketListener to catch a call of a user defined command (SESSION.UICreateCommand). This works fine as long as the user interactively clicks that command. But I need to launch the command in my code (by using the OnCommand method). But then the bracket listener is not working.Does anybody know if I have to trigger the command in a different way? Thank you and kind regardsMichael

Hi guys, I have a DLL Application that is launched when Creo starts, when I go to auxiliary application menu, and I stop it, it stops. No problem until here. But when I try to start it now, it crashes Creo. I have no idea why, nothing in the trail and traceback. Can you help me figure it out please? Thank you

Hello, ProGroup t_Group;ProLocalGroupCreate((ProSolid)asm_mdl,feat_id,num_refs,L"COMPONENTS_TOP",&t_Group); I have something like this, asm_mdl is an assembly with many part components in, feat_id is an array (feature id) of some (not all) components part inside the assembly, num_refs is the size of the array. When I run it, a confirmation window opens and says "Group all features in between YES or NO".When Yes, it creates a Group with all components in the assembly.When No, nothing happens. My problem is that I want to group only some part component (the id I have putted in the array) not all.Another problem, when I create two groups sequentially, the second group is created inside the first group. Hi All, In Cabling environment, I need to get connector Ref_model attribute as shown in below image using toolkit.I was trying to read parameters of connector but there isn't any parameter which refer to this Ref_Model.After loading the .nwf file where this Ref_Model is stored to particular connector ? Thanks in Advance for the help. Regards,Harsh Patel

Hello, Do you know how to get model ID in an assembly.I tried ProMdlIdGet but it gives me the ID of the model part  separated from the assembly. And when the model part has the same name but not the same placement, it always gives me the same ID.Well, how to get those feat ID in the picture?I have the assembly model, the list of part model, the ProAsmcomppath. Thank you very much. @MichelH @YaroslavSin @rghadge

Hello, I'm not able to set LineStock Parameter with multiple values. If I use the following code, the BEND_ANGLE values are NOT set, and after this call, it is not longer possible to modify the line stock values in Creo manually. Technical Support seems not capable to give an answer. Dear Community,inside OTK Java free I am registering another JLink application using BaseSession::StartJLinkApplication. This works fine. JLinkApplication::IsActive returns true and I can see the registered app in Creo (4.0). Furthermore I can register a task by using BaseSession::RegisterTask. But if I want to excecute the task (JLinkApplication::ExecuteTask) with the same TaskId that I used for registering the task I get a XToolkitNotFound exception. If I want to register another task with the same TaskId I get a XJLinkTaskExists exception.I do not understand why! I also do not understand why I have to register a task on the BaseSession object but execute it on the JLinkApplication object. Could anybody help? Thank you and kind regardsMichael

Hi, Does anyone use a test automation tool or framework for automating Creo Parametric manual test cases?Creo buttons are not recognized in tools\framework like selenium, work-soft, etc... If anyone using any tools to automate the manual test steps please share.Any windows application automation tool which suits Creo parametric? Obviously, the preference will be for free tools. If it's paid also can think of it.We can use a trail file for some kind of automation but it's not suitable for my use case.    Thanks,Suresh

Creo Parametric 4.0/7.0   Hi, I have to get all part component from an assembly and group all those components in top or bottom group. Is there a function that allows to differ top and bottom components?   I use ProSolidDispCompVisit to visit all components. Put all in an array with ProArrayObjectAdd and loop all models. I want to separate top from bottom and create/fill group with.   Thank you very much!

Hello   We would like to show axis of a feature into one view of part drawing.   API ProAnnotationByViewShow() works fine but it is to show all axis present into view. We would like to show only specific feature's axis in specific view. For this, we tried API ProAnnotationByFeatureShow() and it suggests that PRO_TK_NOT_IMPLEMENTED.    With all this, tried with ProAnnotationShow() API but this API doesn't have option to show AXIS.    Is there any other way so that we can show AXIS of specific Feature into a view of part drawing?   Thanks and Regards Ketan

I recently came to Creo from Inventor, and I became somewhat dependent on the orientation cube (see attached video). After searching the community and the settings, I had come to the conclusion that such a thing was not possible in Creo. However, when doing some training with PTCU, I opened one of their files (which automatically opened in Simulate) and I saw something similar to the orientation cube labeled WCS in the bottom right corner (World Coordinate System, see attached image), which proved it's possible. This one is passive, meaning it only shows the current orientation, but that would be enough to help me.   (view in My Videos)   My question: how can I get this in Parametric? Would it be possible to make active (I can click on parts of the cube and re-orient the modeling window)? Or would it be easier to figure out how to program in 90 degree rotations about each axis in the views instead? My problem is that I have aphantasia, meaning I cannot visualize object

I am using the toolkit to get entry-port parameters from an assembly model. Right now I am able to read the name of the entry-port coordinate systems of an given component. Now I would like to get the global coordinates of these entry-port.   Is there a way to read the global coordinates from the name of an entry-ports via toolkit? I didn't even find that information in Creo directly.   Thanks a lot

While using ProSelect() i am unable to select datum plane from creo parametric window. Help me out if any anyone has solutions to this problem.
