Hi there, is there a way to declare a template for process plan assemblies? When I try to create one, "use template" is grayed out:  The main problem is, that there are no pre-defined orientations, which makes it unnecessary inconvenient to create drawing from that later.  I am using Creo 10.0.7.0  

Hello, i've been tryign ot designate created command in PTC Creo JS API and didn't succed at all. Creo API can't find message file. Creo AFX parameter and relation modificationsHello, I am working on trying to put in custom parameters and relations within the AFX parts. I figured out how to add parameters that are user defined by modifying the AFX  config start_mdl.cfg file, but the relations are not working. I need relation - driven parameters for multiple parameters when any beam profile for AFX is opened so I want them applied globally. I cannot find the afx_start_model that the start_mdl.cfg in AFX seems to reference for the current relations, and I have tried adding .rel files to reference relations within the start folder and also have tried editing the param_relations folder within the beam profiles without any luck.  I am not sure if it is a file location or syntax error, or if there is something I am missing. I essentially need to populate the AFX start parts for every beam profile with my own parameters and relations. Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.&nb

I have a number of relations based udfs for creating manifold block designs. All the logic is built using Relations in Creo-Parametric. There is a specific logic I have built around transferring dimensions in decimal form (say 3 decimal places) to a 3D hole-note written with relations, so that the hole note shows the 3 decimal places. (Usually, when transferring to string form, Relations only transfers the integer part of the dimension) I have a work around for this, which works well, but then, every such hole, has to have the logic built in its relations.  Is it possible to have this common logic as a subroutine, written in the part relations , which I can access, every time I want to increase the decimal places ? I can call this subroutine with the value, number of places I want to show so that the sub-routines returns a string value with the correct decimal places. This is the relations program for a counter bore dia with 2 decimal spaces and a counter bore depth with

Currently it's not supported by Pro/TOOLKIT to do also a "Revise" beside a Checkout of an object from Windchill using ProServerObjectsCheckout() like it's written in Article - CS254712 - What Revise and Check Out options in Windchill PDMLink are supported by Creo Parametric customization.This functionality would be a great improvement for further CREO-releases.

Hi I'm trying to make an asynchronous app that help automate some processes.is it possible to iterate through all parts/sub assemblies in an assembly and add all components with a specific file name (test.prt for example) and add them to the selection buffer? I want the user to have the option to right click and hide/exclude/delete the selected components.   any example of how to add components to selection buffer will be appreciated. thanks 

I can define the thread hole format in the .hol file after  edit CALLOUT_FORMAT line.but i can't define the countersink hole format based on this way, anyone can tell me how to define that? another problem is how to hide the zero after the decimal point?

Good day to anyone, first time posting here! I've been having a very simple issue, but as I am accumulating an increasingly large amount of files and need to navigate multiple folders, it has become quite a hassle that Creo's 'File>Open' Menu only allows for opening a single .prt file at once. Unfortunately, as the files in question are only somewhat related, they are not part of an assembly and as such cannot be opened together using the 'Open Subgroup' option.In many other programs, I could use Control-click to select multiple files individually or Shift-click on two files to select all files inbetween, then have all selected files opened in their own respective windows after clicking the 'Open' button. Is there a hidden option to select that would allow me to open multiple files at once? I am using creo object toolkit java to make some secondary developing.Suppose I have get the ComponentPath of a part or component in an assembly model. Which function can I use to hide and unhide the part or check its hidden status. I read the usergudie a thousand times and could not find one. The Creo Parametric CAD application currently supports drag-and-drop functionality for opening design files directly within the session view area. However, as part of a customization initiative using Creo Toolkit, I am seeking the ability to intercept these drag and drop events when a file is dragged into the Creo Parametric session. At present, there appears to be no API available within the Creo Toolkit that facilitates the interception or handling of these specific events. Upon reaching out to PTC support, I was directed to knowledge article CS230497, which confirms that capturing drag and drop events through the Creo Toolkit is currently not supported. The support team recommended submitting this as a product enhancement idea. Therefore, I’m formally requesting the addition of APIs to the Creo Toolkit that would enable developers to capture and respond to drag-and-drop events within Creo Parametric. Hello, I'm having troubles using this two funcitons. Effect I'm expecting using this two functions one after each other. I see the same thing without changes by getting actual transformation and applying it to the model. Now let's see what's actually happens let model = pfcGetCurrentSession().GetCurrentModel() let transform = model.GetCurrentViewTransform() model.SetCurrentViewTransform(transform)This code retrieves transformation from opened model and i expect this transformation to be correct because I do actually see it in model and there is no errors in it. But: Uncaught Error: pfcExceptions::XToolkitBadInputs in ProViewMatrixSet at <anonymous>:3:7Is there any extra step needed to repair transformation gained directly from model?

Hello,I have created a small C++/CLI library which make calls to a C# DLL, this library works fine if I call it from any other C++ project, but it does not work if I call it from my Toolkit application (based on Creo Toolkit 10.0.6.0).The application compiles and links fine, but it fails to start from the Auxiliary Applications menu:  Checking that trailfile info, I only can see these lines related to my app not saying any clue about the possible root cause error:  What I'm thinking is that Creo doesn't support Toolkit apps involved with C++/CLI code, but I would like to confirm that, do some of you have experience this? Thanks.

Good day, everyone, I am in the process of setting up and testing the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX) for the company I work for, and I have successfully integrated some of our legacy data into IFX. However, I am struggling to import nested family table parts correctly. A bit of background:I was successful in getting our fasteners to appear in the screw dropdown (Metric Bolt FT DIN933 SS). However, the length selection was not available, and I was unable to place the fastener set.   After some investigation, I realized that the family table instance did not include the length of each bolt. Instead, the file was nested by bolt size, with the length only available in the lower levels of the family tables. This led me to conclude that this might be why the length did not populate.  I would like to know if the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX) is compatible with nested family tables. Creo10 & ProToolkit & Cpp...   Button#1 (in UI_dialog#1) would have a callback, which would... step1) load DLL#2, and then step2) Call an exported Function (eg. "display_dialog_2") which would result in UI_dialog#2 being displayed alongside-of, or in-front-of UI_dialog#1.   *But, I cant seem to get step 2 to work.  UI#2 never displays.  Any help&guidance would def be appreciated.  Code example(s) even better.

Hello Together, our company Blocks the acces for programs to the Documents folder so i need to change to config directory. I've already read that PTC help article about the IFX_USER_CONFIG_PATH but it isnt working for me.  I'm adding it like this in the default ifx_start_mdl.cfg:IFX_USER_CONFIG_PATH "Path:\to\folder" I'm currently running Creo Parametric 9.0.6.0 on windows 10. (The Documents Block only applies to our win11 machines) Any guess what i'm doing wrong? Maybe editing the wrong config?  Regards,

Hi, I've attached an example with two flexible assemblies. Each of these assemblies contains two parts whose x-position is controlled using a variable dimension. Now my task is to get the "actual" position as it can be seen in the main assembly. I obviously can't use wfcWComponentFeat::getPosition as this gets me the "as constructed" position. I tried to call wfcWComponentFeat::Refresh and wfcWComponentFeat::RefreshRelations before calling getPosition but this hasn't changed anything... Do i have to calculate the correct position myself or is there some kind of "trick" that i have to do in order to get the correct position? Thanks, Christoph

I am a bit lost as to why i cannot delete them. If i am suppose to be able to delete these, i will create a mini project and share the source.

Hi, I need a help to start a creo in a custom way likewise.If it start creo, the config.pro, templates & other files should be copied to local drive from the shared drive. Once i close the creo session & start fresh again it should remove the old files & then copy the same files again from shared drive to local drive.Note : this is a windchill based environment.Kindly help me with the procedure to perform this task.ThanksNaresh
