Form login has been configured using JSP(runtime).I used link widget to open up formlogin page on click of a button.I got formlogin page in a new window.But,I want Formlogin as a popup window.Is it possible to do this using Thingworx composer?    

I use a value display widget to make it red if it's smaller than 10, and bigger than 10, smaller than 20 blue, finally bigger than 20, smaller than 30 green. What can I do?

We have two identical Thingworx instances, Dev and Prod.  We also have one single Kepserver, running on a Dell MicroPC, that we use to connect to Prod and bind the data to our Prod Thingworx.   I know that we cannot bind the same kepserver to a 2nd instance of Thingworx, so just curious as to what our options are to get the same data into our Dev instance?  (if possible)   I'm guessing that our only option is to run a service on dev to bind all the properties to the remote prod instance, but if that is the case, is there an easy way to then reconfigure the prod instance during the release process to bind to the kepserver?   I hope this isn't too confusing, any help is much appreciated!

Hi,   i am using Static Mashup with Threshold Indicator widget but when i run this mashup separately i can see the widget at runtime, but when i call this mashup in other Mashup Container the widget is not visible. could you help me please.   thanks

  Hi All,   i did a few quick searches in Google and here and didnt find anything that quite worked or explained how to use common design patterns, such as factory design pattern, within thingworx. i understand that not all concepts from software dev and OOP translate perfectly or are possible in thingworx, but i do believe such a platform should have something similar that would allow developers to create something a littble bit more dynamic. i tried cloneThing and createThing methods but these create actual instantiations of things (i.e. concrete instatiated/permanent things), but what i am trying to do is more like having a generic Thing, with all the properties and services and creat a "copy" of the thing by calling a service and passing the params. however, this should not create an actual thing but rather, inn OOP terms, create an instance of the thing that lives in memory until it is discarded. an example of how this could be used is to allow the user/application insta

Hi,  I am planning to implement mail notification from office365 srever. I have given below configurations SMTP server and port : smtp.office365.com, Port:587 Pop3 server and port: outlook.office365.com, 995. Please find the attached screenshot for configuration. I am getting below error if try to send message using "sendmessage" service.   "Error retrying to send an email to valid recipients after invalid ones caused a failure, or failure to send an error email about this event: 530 5.7.57 SMTP; Client was not authenticated to send anonymous mail during MAIL FROM [BYAPR07CA0078.namprd07.prod.outlook.com]_"   I have used Main extension 3.6.0 version   Anyone knows what is this error?. Hello,   I am currently developing a mashup with 100+ labels and would like to quicly change their styles (font size and color) all at the same time. Is this possible without going into each label and picking the new style manually?  

We have a fairly large mashup that was created in ThingWorx 8.3.3.  Mashup Builder in 8.3.3 was pretty solid - I didn't experience any bugs, at least for what I used it for.  It took a few moments to load in the Mashup Builder because the associated Thing has maybe 100 services in it.  This is my first mashup creation, and once I got the hang of expressions and routers and bindings in general, I found it fairly easy to make the mashup do what I wanted.   Then came 8.5.  We first tested an upgrade to 8.5.3 and found a bug with ptc-windchill-integration-connector.  We have several services added to that connector and in 8.5.3, I was unable import the connector from the previous build or add services to the existing connector (the Add button was always grayed out, even for Administrator).  I opened a case with PTC and found it's a bug.  I received a query to run in the ThingWorx database that enabled the "Add" button, but we still had issues getting

Is there any charts on which annotations can be added? I need a chart on which a user can click on a particular point and add annotation.

I have a widget extension that was developed when Mashups used Layout instead of Flex Container.My extension is OpenLayers showing geographic data from a database as a map. Its features are ok. However, in mashups that use Flex Container instead of Layout, the map (widget) starts with the disproportionate height and width and only after it stretches the page size (maximizing the browser, changing the screen size through the inspect element. ..) that the proportions are organized.Is there a class I should add to the div of this widget or something else that differs in the development of Widget Extension with Mashups that use Layout for those that use Flex Container? See attached print screen.

Hi,   I am using the Thingworx 8.5.4 in Thingworx HA configuration. I have observed below issue. "Timeseries data is not logged into Value stream but data is updating into Remote thing." Below setting are given to property. Data Change Type is "Always" and logged is selected Whenever if restart the Remote Thing, its logging the timeseries data into value stream upto 2 change values. I did not observe in Thingworx 8.2.5 and Thingworx 8.5.1 version with same thingworx source code I have verified with "QueryNamedPropertyHistory" and "QueryPropertyHistory" to check the timeseries data. Refer the attached screenshot. Any one knows what is the reason? why its not logging into value stream?. I have restarted Azure postgre sql service (Version 10)  and restarted Tomcat also. Hello,   I'm trying to filter the asset list of the asset advisor page following the information located at https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx_apps/r8.5/en/#page/thingworx_apps%2FThingWorxAppsCust%2Fcustomizing_the_asset_list_filtering.html%23   I was able to successfully filter the assets by name following the example and now I wanted to filter them by my custom properties. I created the "Visible" property (BOOLEAN/STRING) on the Assets and tried to customize the AssetAdvisorPreFilter service in PTC.SCA.SCO.CustomActionHandler this way: var result = {"filters": [{"fieldName":"Visible","type":"EQ","value":"true"}]}; but it is not working at all.   Could anybody help me with how the property should be configured and on the correct result statement??   Thanks in advance.

Hi all,   I customized the filter option in the asset advisor by the following article and implemented all necessary bindings. https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx_apps/r8.5/en/#page/thingworx_apps%2FThingWorxAppsCust%2Fcustomizing_the_asset_list_filtering.html%23   The filter does work with serialNumber and location,  but i want to use my own new properties (e.g. equipmentNumber). Can you help me how to implement the filter option with different properties ?     thanks!

I need to display the values of current, voltage and power in time series chart based on the check box selection. How to do this?. i) If I select Current, only Current values will be displayed in time series chart. ii) If I select Current and Voltage, both the values should be displayed in time series chart.  iii) If I select Current, Voltage and power all the values should be displayed in time series chart. iv) If I deselect any one it should not be displayed in the chart. I have designed up to this and stuck after this,                        

My industrial thing is connected from Kepware to  thingworx  but while inheriting remote thing from industrial thing is not connected  i.e in industrial thing if i select discover in that selecting channel >>device>>tags and then manage binding and creating a remote thing it is not connected in thingworx. I have checked there is no problem with Application Key too. What can be the issue for remote thing not connected when industrial thing is connected Can u please provide a solution ...

Hi, Is it not possible to render a drop down based on state formatting? I created a new state definition and when I tried to bind it to the drop down to change color of one particular text that I am getting from drop down, it doesnt show any option for state formatting. There is a property 'List format' which opens only the rendering but not state.  How can I set the state formatting to a drop down? Thanks, Shalini V.
