Hello everyone,   in our current scenario, we have a Thing (with regular sensor data and so on) that we would like to attach files to (mostly .pdf and .png/jpeg).The idea is to make these files "available" to the user, just as the sensor data. These files may change over time.   In the optimal case, we have a folder laying somewhere in the network (probably one server that will contain folders for some things) and this folder is "synchronized" with the files attached to the thing.Now my questions are: 1) Is it possible to somehow synchronize a folder on a machine other than the thingworx server with the files associated with a thing? 2) Can Files be attached to a thing in the first place? Files can't be properties as far as I see, so there must be another way.   In later steps we would like to make these files of a thing available via a mashup (and most importantly through an AR-Experience)   Any hints on which Thingworx Components to use and which Tutorials to look

Hi, I am using Creo 4 M050 and Creo Product Insight for ThingWorx Extension 8.2.3. Currently facing an issue that I am not able to connect to ThingWorx server to retrieve sensor data from the server. When I click connect to server it shows error "Connection to ThingWorx server cannot be established"  We are using . Followed all the steps and configured the config.pro file, but then too facing issues while connecting to ThingWorx server. Also find attached the config.properties file where we are giving details like ThingWorx server, Administrator key etc.   Please help me with the solution.   Thanks and regards, Aditya

Hi, I want to disable drop down list on mashup loaded and when the user clicks a button it must be enabled so that the user can select the data. Is there any way to do this by using a service? And can we call mashup widgets into services or can we invoke mashup widgets from services?

Hi all,   I'm Ilona from Hungary and i'm working with ThingWorx for 1 year.  I have a big problem with TWX. The cenrtal IT has upgraded the system to 8.4.4 version, and from it the included database went wrong. The upgrade was at 2019.08.27.   I tried to explain the error: The Datashape is (attached). In the DataTable is an important field, named "TableIndex" is a #NUMBER field. I have 145 rows.  When i run QeryDataTableEntries service I get the all 145 line.  ---> OK When i run QeryDataTableEntries service with a condition: ID=145, I get this line. ---> OK When i run QeryDataTableEntries service with a condition: DatumBe=2019.09.09. --> I get 4 lines -->OK BUT When i run QeryDataTableEntries service with a condition: TableIndex=4, I get just the older lines, before the upgrade, and the new lines not.    What could be this problem? What is different between version 8.2.2 and 8.4.4?? Maybe the caracter coding? Can I set

Hi, My customer has 100,000 production files generated per day, they want to store in ThingWorx and view the File by searching the file path . The files should be remained for 6 months at least , so about 20 millions records . I'm going to use FileRepository to store these files , but can it afford the files ? It seems there is no database table for FileRepository and it only rely on the OS file system to search , right ? Regards, Sean

Following this guide, on 8.4.0 I am running into this issue.  I have to log into composer and then navigate to the runtime. Login fails in the Runtime/WelcomeForm.  This is fine to play with the trial edition, but for production I need to direct people to the Welcome screen to log in.  Is this just a trial edition bug?

hi,   I have taken a grid(grid1) on which i am displaying data based on filters and button click. When i select a row from grid1 on selectedRowChanged property, I populated data in another grid(grid2) based on input of selected row of grid1. But when i changed my filters and click on button i just wanted to show data in grid1 and based on grid1 my grid2 data is displayed.   But my grid1 row remains selected and grid2 data populates. How can i deselect row of grid1 ?     Regards, Sheetal

Hi at all!Currently I´m using the Dropdown widget for a selection.  https://support.ptc.com/help/thingworx_hc/thingworx_8_hc/en/index.html#page/ThingWorx/Help/Mashup_Builder/Widgets/DropdownWidgetBeta.html On the desktop everything works fine but when I switch to my mobile phone they disappear. The other widgets are still there.    I know that they are currently a beta version, but do you know why this is happening or do you know a workaround for this?Thanks!

Hello, I'm a newbie in thingworx analytics but I come from data analytics. Actually, the learner is not new for me but when I configure the predictive model, I saw that I can add more leaners. So, that means the analytics module shall try to use these methods to learning the data and choose the best fit (highest ROC, RMSE, etc.) method ??? If not, what does the module do exactly ????

Hi everyone,   I am working on a project where I have 10 entities with the same (about 30) properties, and I would like to use Thing Template for the development. All these entities need to be remote things connected through an Industrial Gateway object. I would really like to avoid manually using the "Manage Binding" for 10 things of 30 properties each, which could potentially change in the future.   The only thing to modify in each entity would be the numbering in the Source field for all the properties (i.e. Temp01 in Thing01, Temp02 in Thing02,... etc): is there any way I can make that number into a parameter I can simply set for each of the things created off the initial template?

Following the steps in this guide I was able to get the installer to run, but it's failing.  Error message is not of much help.  Following some forum recommendations I uninstalled and reinstalled the OS.  i.e. new VM.  Running Ubuntu 18.04 on an Azure F4 VM.
