Is there a way to enable and disable the log group with a trigger from a PLC? I need to have the data logger create a new table each time the log group is triggered.

Hello, I am collecting snmp data trough Keepware snmp suite and converting data to OPC server for my SCADA system. I see that i often loose memory , CPU and HDD reading after  a reboot. I then ca see that OID address has changed. is there a setting or a way to detect this in keepware snmp suite software ? 

I have used Link tags successfully with standard data types but am having difficulty with strings and DateTime.I am trying to move data from an ODBC/MYSQL database.  The standard data is moving fine, but two types are not moving correctly.  Strings, DATETIME, and Long variables.  The ODBC driver reads LONGs as strings, so essentially it is string-type and Date-type links that aren't moving.  I created the links using the GUI instead of typing them by hand, so the fields are correct.Quick Client shows the data read into the tags in the ODBC device tags, but in the PLC tags on the output of the links are all quality BAD/value UNKNOWN. DWords are reading correctly.Any thoughts?.  

Hello all. I have been trying to create an advanced tag by comparing the Logic_cond from a MT Connect Mazak Tag.  The idea is to populate PTCAvailabiltyFaultCode of DPM with this advanced tag. This advanced could be a bolean value; Whenever the Logic_Cond is "Normal" then it should write over this new tag as 1 or 0.  We have tried by using a derive tag, complex tag (we are still new to kepware ) but whenever we try to write this new "combined" tag it just pops up that the tag is not writeable.   

Hello everyone! I have two kepservers (one reading tags from a siemens 1200 drive and other reading tags via modbus). Can you please tell me how can I share tags from the kepserver with siemens drive and read it as a register on the kepserver with modbus drive? Thanks in advance

Hello,I have two PCs communicating over OPC DA protocol. One is OPC Server, while second one is OPC Client. On OPC Client I am using KepServer OPC DA Client. I configured DCOM setting according to this page: https://www.softwaretoolbox.com/dcom/html/dcom_for_windows_7-_10-_-_server_2008r2.html . I have latest Windows patches installed which requires from me to use the "Default Authentication Level set to “Packet Integrity” .The problem is that when I try to connect to OPC DA server, KepServer is showing an error that OPC Client failed to establish callback from OPC Server. When i open Windows System Logs I see error "The server-side authentication level policy does not allow the user MCSB\BHAdmin from address 172.16.3.44 to activate DCOM server. Please raise the activation authentication level at least to RPC_C_AUTHN_LEVEL_PKT_INTEGRITY in client application." That leads me tu guess that I need to change configuration of OPC Client of KepServer, to Packet Integrity. Does anyone know ho

I am using the Data Logger plugin to send machine status to a mySQL server.I have machines that are offline but it is still sending a value into the database. for example, in the screenshot here, PARR-LINE-L sends CycleCount and Status to the database. it uses numeric ID 1.it is sending in the quality as 0 meaning its quality is bad but also sending in the production count of 561. when i check the live data, the quality is bad because the machine is off but the value is marked as unknown. Why is it sending a value of 561? Ifi delete the datalogger group for that machine and then recreate it it seems to work for a while and then goes back to doing this.

Hello everyone, I have a PLC Tag with a 32-bit float address (400188). When I read this using simple Modbus, I obtain a value of 15104753. However, when I configure the same in Kepware, using the float data type with the same address, I see a value of 15116893. I have tried various configurations, but the values still do not match. Please refer to the device settings and suggest a solution for the issue. Thank you!

Our factory has a remote monitoring system with a Kepware based setup utilizing DA (Data Access) method to transfer the data collected from the devices to WinCC. The Kepware version in use is 6.13, and each Kepware instance contains 12,000 static tags. The device's communication interfaces include TCP/IP and RS232.We plan to develop UA (Unified Architecture) clients in the cloud while keeping the existing system unchanged. This UA client will subscribe to data from the existing Kepware as a second remote monitoring system. However, we currently face the following problems:Some data points from the same device can be successfully transferred to the UA client, while other data points cannot. (Data transfer to WinCC via DA works fine on all data points.Data transfer from Kepware to the UA client frequently experiences interruptions, and only restarting the UA client resolves the issue.The main challenge is that the data transferred to WinCC via DA is complete, but the data received via UA

How do I setup a trigger so that the Datalogger only log data when the trigger bit goes High, or low, but not both?  I'm getting double data because it triggers on change not rising or falling.

As with several others, I could not get KEPWare to autogenerate ODBC tags for my MariaDB.  The system could see the table in the database but would fail generation. The problem was that even though the DSN was properly configured with the username and password for the database, KEPWare was not bringing them into the Channel Definition.  As soon as I updated the field in it, the problem cleared up and tags started generating correctly.

Have questions about how to synchronously read data from PLC. For example: a bit tag and int tag must be read at the same time because it's a high speed process. I know I can do this in AB ControlLogix using arrays. But not sure how to do this in PLC5, SLC 500, CompactLogix, MicroLogix, PLC3, Siemens S7/400. My company has various PLCs and I need to find a scalable solution. Ideally, I'd like to find a solution that doesn't require PLC program modifications. Or as less modification as possible. PS: I know it's better to push data from PLC to capture high speed applications. However, data pipeline architecture is already determined by my company's global team. So I have to find  workarounds.

Hello! I'm very new to using kepware and I'm looking for some assistance getting the scan/poll time adjusted to my liking.  I've got one channel, with one device on it (Automation Direct Productivity series PLC) which contains all of my tags. I'm observing about a 10 to 15 second delay between seeing a tag update in my Productivity suite software and then seeing that change reflected in the Kepserver OPC Quick Client. I've set the device's scan mode to request all data at 1000ms and reinitialized the runtime, but the delay seems unaffected. Any tips for what I may be missing are welcome!

I have read a post on this forum where someone said that certificate authentication is not supported. I could not find any release notes regarding an update to this and still am unable to connect to KEPServerEX using trusted certificates. Is there any plan on implementing this feature? Greetings,You can set the triggered conditions as triggered-based and then set the condition type according to the data type. If the item ID has the data type Boolean, you can set it as OPC False or OPC True, but if you do have any other data type, you can set the condition as greater than or less than a specific value if you need any more help related to this you can submit a ticket and share the Case no. we can connect to dig more into this.Regards,Mohit

Trying to setup a connection to a controllogix PLC. I have the connection and I'm trying to see the tag bit value PVInts[8].0 and on kepware it shows a folder on the left "PVInts_x" and when i select it it shows me all the ints inside. So on the right side i see PVInts_008 as the tag name and PVINTS[8] in the address but i can not drill down to PVInts[8].0 or PVInts[8].1 it doesnt show me that. What am i doing wrong? using KEPServerEX 6.15v6.15.132.0

created an account on My,Kepware.com yesterday. Used the site to setup a couple of kepware licenses. Today,  I try to log in and nothing happens. Tried multiple times and couldn't log in. I changed my password, got the reset password email and followed the directions. Reset my password and tried to login and it still never accessed the site.  Submitted a ticket to get a resolution and called the support line. Was told to put in a ticket and they will call me back. I still haven't heard back.
