My programmers use Creo 2 and have Vericut for material removal checking. When we went to Creo 3 (M190) this went away and now it has an internal material removal that doesn't work well for them. Is there anyway to get Vericut to work in Creo 3?
Hello All Does someone know what is the Gpost Code (programming) to get a parameters from the NC Sequence and convert in a NC code? I would like to take the parameter FLASH_TOOL YES or NO and insert the position on the Spindle on the CNC program. For example If I created a NC sequence with the parameter FLASH_TOOL YES on the code on my CNC program has to be M111 M19 S900 M110 If I created a NC sequence with the parameter FLASH_TOOL NO on the code on my CNC program has to be M111 M19 S2700 M110 If you prefer could you send me this answer on my e-mail. cristiano.afarelli@bakerhughes.com That will help me a lot Thanks
Some customers asked us about the possibility of DME components in EMX – the tooling application for Creo Parametric. For this development, we have selected DME Europe as a component partner. We have now already implemented the first batch of types in Expert Moldbase Extension, with more to follow. Find out more about which components are already implemented here.
I always want material removal simulation to stop where tool must be changed. How to make this a default?
Hi, is it possible to change the material in the operation setup with a parameter? I attach photos. Thanks
I've devised a milling sequence which will make my part, but I would like what I've done criticized for my choice, and sequence, of methods. I would post an image of the part and then list sequence ie. mill window, face, rough, profile, finish and include tool choice. Cycle time is not really an issue, but I guess I worry that what I'm doing may not be best. CNC Mill is a Sherline 2000 running under LinuxCNC. I did the Post with GPOST and it has worked fine with other parts. If this is reasonable to ask, how should I post my topic?
there appears to be something wrong in my Gpost Config. The NCL clearly shows the first feed rate, but the posted ngc is missing it. seems likely to be a problem in gpost. Mine is a simple 3-axis FANUC post modified to work with LinuxCNC which is the controller for my little mill. Where would you look for this problem? Please help! When I apply a shrinkage of 1.3% my model seems to go really small then sends all my volumes into error (please see the attached photo) I have tried to re do this a few times from scratch and it happens every time. Can anyone see where I am going wrong?
I cannot see how to limit the height of the retract in a peck cycle so that once the drill has reached depth of say two diameters, it does not retract higher than the top of the work-piece - idea is to prevent coolant from washing chips into the hole. If you think this idea is crazy, it won't hurt my feeling if you write it.
Hello ; We need a Post Processor for our 4 Axis HMC machine ( Hyundai Wia XH8000) with Fanuc 31i Model B control. CAM software is PTC Creo 7 .Please message me if you can help .
Dear machining expert, please check the attached video. I am facing a surface finishing issue between the nontangential curve. please advise already use G5.1 Q1 R10 but no change. Regards Asif
see these videos both videos shown surface machining on same surface one is from power mill other is from creo parametric...in creo machining there is some motion pause during one patch to other patch of surface ..but in power mill no pause continue machining ..why this is happening...is it software capabilities issue or i am some thing missing..please advise.. fisa(view in My Videos)(view in My Videos)
dear people I have an issue about gouges in creo file there is no gauge showing in my manufacturing file .but when i checked in module works or vericut ...show gouges on the finished part ..please advise I am stuck du to it..please check to attach files regards fisa
I am looking to change the direction the tool moves so that it moves down the face of the part with each pass. It wants to cut in the z direction. I would like it to cut in the x direction. I believe this yellow arrow has something to do with it. Is there a way to rotate this arrow?

We are using Creo 4.0 M100 to design die casting dies using the mold splitting tools in the Tool Design option. Since moving to Creo 4.0 a few years ago, we are having problems with mold volumes switching after modifying a parting-surface; cavity half insert geometry switches to the ejector side and visa versa. This wreaks havoc on the extracted mold components and the rest of the mold design. This is especially painful when doing revisions to an existing mold design. We are using the "volume split" tool along with parting-surfaces to create the volumes. It's almost like Creo reassigns the geometry do different sides of the parting surface at random. I find several occurrences of this issue in the knowledge base. Each occurrence says resolved in an earlier version than what we are currently running. Has anyone else had this issue? If so, how have you dealt with it? Is there a better / more robust technic for splitting
Can MBD/annotations be translated (copied) over from the design model to the mold_ref model? When we assemble the design model into the mold assembly; you have three choices, 1) Merge by reference, 2) Same model, 3) Inherited. We have always used the Merge by reference option. So ultimately, I’m asking if GTOL/Annotations be transferred to a External Merge feature (part)?
Hi All, how to selection working plane in mill/toutning work center? example G17 or G19?

Hello everyone I have a simple part with an internal diameter driven by a family table (changing it from 13 to 28 mm, see picture) Is it possible to have one manufacturing file updating the A diameter and consequently the TPs of the internal part? - holemaking (different drill diameters) - internal turning area (different boring tools) - different distance from the center for the profile used for cutting the part Thanks
I ran a 4 axis tool path a while ago and didn't have any trouble. This was with Creo 2.0, we just switched to Creo 5.0 and now I am having trouble doing it now. I am trying to do a surface mill but it only shows 3 axis available. I went back and looked at the Work center and I have the number of axis's picked to 4. I used this same work center on the other program but it doesn't seem to work the same. I'm not sure what I am doing wrong or if I am missing a setting somewhere else. Can someone give me some hints? Thanks
Hello there!Currently we provide design validation checks for manufacturability --Injetion Molding design (Bosses ,Ribs, Draft, thin Steel conditions, flow problems)-SheetMetal design (Bends, hems, feature distances)-Machining design (Milling, Drilling, Turning)-Castings design ( wall thickness)-Assembly checks ( Clearance support component, sub-assembly )Current capabilities can be understood from here :Current support from WF4 to Creo 1.0.http://dfmpro.geometricglobal.com/DFMPro_demo/index.htmlI am looking for user requirements on Assembly side-Some questions of Assembly:1) How do you currently ensure fastener engagement? Clearance, length2) Hole alignment, missing holes, missing fasteners?3) What would be other challenges on assembly? like clashing of components.4) Any other inputs?your feedback will be highly appreciated!Regards,Prashant
