HelloDoes anyone know how to change the window size of EMX parameters by default when I want to insert a component?The window is smaller than it should be ...I send attached two images; one as it is and the other as it should be. When I want to insert a component it looks like the first image and after changing a parameter the window gets bigger as shown in the second image Thanks in advance
How do I define a turning operation for an eccentric surface? There is a machine type defined in NC G-post as a mill-turn that is exactly what I need so there must be someway to program it. This is a very clear graphic from G-post: All turning sequences follow some trajectory on some plane. This will not be a rotationally symmetric part. Think of a face surface that looks like pringle. Anyway, I need to output a C, X, Z program. The part needs to rotate for that. I try milling sequences but it wants to move the X,Y,Z and it will not allow a lathe tool. This graphic in G-post tells me there must be way. I am doing this in another software now. I want to stay in Creo for the associatiativity to all the other files and assemblies. Can anyone share with me how they have made a 2 axis lathe turning sequence with the spindle resolved ("C Axis") output using Creo?
Hi, I am trying to tweak a postprocessor for 5 axes machine with Fanuc 31i A5- double tables A/C. In 3 axes is fine, but when I start rotated the axes then my Y axis is way off the track, like instead of going in the positive way the move is negative. Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you! Hi, I've recently started using Creo's manufacturing package and have had issues getting my parts to import into manufacturing assemblies. When I try to create a reference model, after constraining the part/assembly, Creo gives me a warning: "Please confirm setting absolute accuracy value 5.0357e-02 mm for assembly PART_NAME" My options are to click "OK" or "Cancel". When I click "Cancel", the part shows up as normal in the window, though this does not seem to be the correct solution. When I click "OK", the part disappears. It is still in the model tree, Creo is still able to auto-create a workpiece from the part, and if I cursor over where the part should be in the window, I can select some edges of the part. I have tried to set the assembly accuracy value to copy from the part model before importing the part. When I do this, then import the part, I do not get the warning dialog box, but the part still disappears when I confirm component placement. I h
Hello, We manufacture the same object with small variations (lenses). Currently our mold engineers use the "save as" functionality in Windchill to copy the mold (it's always the same fixtures) , and they update the mold with new lens. Does anyone had any suggestions on how to handle this in a better way instead of the continuous save as ? Sincerely, -Bilal
We have to do the following things in the BOM: 1. In the note parameter we put the hardness and in the material parameter we put the material name. We have a standard value for hardness and the material name for each part. For ex: For the core pin in moulds we use BH11 material with hardness RC 52-54. Is there any way in which i can put these values for different parts at the back end and somehow use it in the BOM automatically. Doing it manually is very time consuming. 2. What is the the use of emx_comp.rel? I tried to use this file for putting the material and notes in the BOM but was not successfull. 3, For the category parameter we have a drop down list of 4 items. We assign these values to the parts as per our company standards. Is it possible to automate by making some changes at the back end? 4. For the partforming elements(i.e core, cavity, cavity insert, side core, core insert) , we need to change the names manually in the [v]PARTNAME
what is the use of emx_comp.rel file? Please provide some documentation for the same?
Good eveningIn the Emx 12.0.0.0 options there should be the configuration menu of the BOM export in excel, to me it is not active, in the configuration folder the excel_export_configuration.cfg file is present, do you have an explanation for how to configure the BOM?Thanks

Flexible parameter preservation not retained in cabling manufacturing flat assembly. When applying parameters (dimensions) to a flexible part in a cable assembly the part reverts back to the original state when flatting the cable assembly in manufacturing. Is there a way to preserve the flexible part parameters as in the cable assembly when flattening the assembly.
I am looking to set-up part flipping in a mill/turn Okuma. Is the only way a separate Op and Auxiliary sequence with a new set-up and manually tie the ops together, or is part flipping integrated into Creo Parametric 4.0 somewhere?
I am trying to create a mapkey for saving out IGES files. I would like to have (under Options/Advanced) "Geometry and entity preferences" set to "Surfaces and Wireframe". Is there a config option available to do this? Work around would be to make (2) mapkeys. The first one would change the settings to "Surfaces and Wireframe". The other would ignore this because once it has been changed in a session, it stays that way until the program is closed and reopened.
I am using EMX10_M010 and I have issues of automatic color change of creo set colors, when adding emx udf's to it. our work flow as blow. 1. set color to ejector plate faces as per our color code system. (color system is set in appearance gallery) 2.add ejector pin, so ej pin pocket UDF added to ejector pin. (technology color is already set to ejector pin pocket) 3.Save the file 4. close creo & reopen creo assembly. (at this point the color of ejector plate (set as per point no1) and the color of UDF are changing to some other colors ( or it shuffles) and this makes a problem. This problem is not occurring in assembly. it comes as a random. for info, I edited the color definition.cfg file in configuration folder and added colors as per our color code system. I am not sure this is creating the problem or not. please let me know how I can solve this issue.
Hey NC community, Is it possible to change the default behavior of the confirmation alert that pops up when changing a tool pocket number?By default I'd like Creo NC to always "Move" tool pocket and simply not ask for confirmation. In Creo Parametric 5.0.4.0 not always gouges are found in areas of transition from one NC sequence to another NC sequence. To detect them, it is now necessary to select a specific step value (not tolerance) when checking the CL file for gouges. I propose to improve the CREO functionality for detecting gouges in the CREO (this is not a question of ModuleWorks), irrespective of the gouge check step in the toolpath transition sections from one NC sequence to another NC sequence.Manufacturing resultGouges check. Step = 0.5 If step of gouge check = 1 and another, gouges don't found!
Hi!! im trying to add a delay ejector pin in the moldbase definition. The problem is that after putting all the necessary points in the comp_data.txt, I am still not able to assemble the pin. Sometimes i get 'Cannot assemble the model in the assembly' and sometimes i get something like the required size is not there. I also did some additions in the feature_data.txt, but still im not getting any results. This is the first time that im doing this and i have asked to put the ejector pin in the moldbase definition and not in the library.

We use round D pins as shown un the image below in our tool and we want to keep the ORD_NUMBER as diameter*height. But by default it is calculated as length*width*height , so we have to change it manually every time which takes up a lot of time. Is there any way by which it can be automated?

Hello everyone... We are a fast paced engineering company using CREO Nc module to create CNC programs. We are buying a new 5 axis m/c & are in a stage of getting the post processor development started Can anybody suggest & enlighten us how PTC can help us with that ??? Is there a specific CAM developers department with PTC ?? I can always go with a 3rd party but want to work with PTC if they have anybody in particular Thanks in advance
