Hi Guys,I am making a copy mill surface in a manufacturing assy & using the Fill holes/surfaces option to fill out certain contours. I am not able to change the size (vertical) of options tab whether I keep it docked or make it independent of the window. As you can see it only shows two contours at one time, after part file has been changed I need to modify 5 contours out of 16 & have to keep on scrolling to find out which holes are out of date. Am I missing some config option to be able to change the size of tab or PTC never gave us any option to change it?RegradsPushkarThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Is anyone else seeing a difference in their toolpaths between running play path inside of the sequence and by Right clicking on the sequence in the feature tree? I initially had an issue with a face milling sequence but I just came across the same issue with a Volume Rough sequence. I see this in both M080 and M100.Here is the toolpath from inside of the sequence. Both Volumes plunge from .100" above the volume by using "Clear_Dist"Here is the same exact toolpath when RMB > Play Path. The lower volume rapids into the part. For the time being I increased my "Clear_Dist" to .375" to make the bottom on plunge as needed and the top one just plunges from farther away from the part.Anyone else seeing anything like this???This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello, I am in need of some immediate answered questions. I hired a student to do some CAD drawings, that I would be able to use in my patent submission and be able to send the files to get an manufacturing quote. I also wanted the files to be in a format that could be edited easily in the future (after prototype testing was completed). The student is refusing to give me these files in a format, which I can send to get a quote from my manufacturer (ex. STP file) and in a format that can be edited in the future easily by another mechanical engineer. I need to know if the files the student created in the student version of CREO (not sure which version), which he saved as PRT files can be converted in that same program to files that can be used to send to manufacturing (ex. STP file). I also need to know by which program would be needed to convert the PRT files into a file type that can be used for another mechanical engineer to make needed future changes. I have summarized below:
Hi All,I am fairly new still to the Pro-E program. Previous programmer left and I am trying to understand some parameters for a specific milling operation the he generated in a program.Per a sample program, a profile milling operation was created and I entered all feed, spindle speed etc. However, somehow the previous programmer was able to set the drill to start at the center of the hole prior to milling the finished profile. When I create one, it starts offset from the center. How do you set the position of the drill to start at the center of the hole prior to milling the profile of the hole to finished size? Can someone advise?Your help is most appreciatedRegards,BrendonThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi.. As we are having many machines where Creo is installed e.g. 700, So while upgrading Creo version from 2.0 to 3.0 it stops users work. So is there any way to install creo3.0 from one single machine without taking users remote desktop or without hampering his work. like our IT team install many microsoft software without taking client machine remote. and client get automatic notification to restart machine as new software is installed. So is there any process or method. Regards, PrashantThis thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hi.I need some software for simulation and verification of my G code programs. I´ve a mill/turn center with dual spindle , 1 turret and 1 milling head. What are you guys using , what are you recommend , and what are you NOT recommend ? I´ve already looked at NC Simul which I think is VERY expensive. I also looked at Vericut , but I see that some of you has replaced that ? We are on Creo 3 M30 (on our way to M90)Br,Jesper..This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. In late April I learned that 3D Systems had discontinued their Cube 3 personal 3D printers. They come in white (392200) and gray (391100).I won the eBay bid at under $400 for a new printer with free shipping. Within a week I was printing parts.Funny enough, when the printer got here, I was printing parts for work within 3 hours. The real slowdown was due to trying to find the activation button on the redirected web page. Phone support was able to help in quick order even on a Saturday. D'oh! ...the tab was right there staring at me.There are three reasons I justified this printer:It is a dual extruder.70um resolution option.Wash-away support material.Price helped pull the trigger, of course, but this is not just an economy printer. It may well be the opposite as it does use proprietary cartridges. And everything I read is that this is a very difficult remaining filament tracking module to defeat. Reports of clogged cartridges are also not
Hey everybody,When i place ejectors using EMX, the cut which is generated is always very close or coincident with the ejctor shaft. See pic:This makes it difficult to add a champfer in the hole.I would like the distance from center of ejector to rotfix surface to be bigger. See below pic:Where can i find the parameter file, from which i can increase this distance??Best regards ClementCreo3.0 M040EMX9.0 F012This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Hello Community, Is it possible to have different layer state for a part/assembly and its associated drawing. For instance, I have a manufacturing file with many milling windows. I have created a layer driven by a rule to isolate these. I would like to hide milling windows in my manufacturing document for the workshop, and keep these milling windows displayed in the manufacturing assembly. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Our Milltronics post processor is writing the feedrate to almost every line. It looks something like this:N00058G3F8.X.6895Y.1057I.0197J-.0035N00060G1F8.X.9139Y.0662Z.13While our FADAL posts something like this for the same partN0280G3X.6895Y.1057I.0197J-.0035N0290G1X.9139Y.0662Z.13Where is the "toggle" in the Gpost generator to turn writing the feedrate to each line on and off?I cannot seem to locate it.This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. I have installed PTC Creo on a virtual machine in Hyper V, Windows Server 2012 r2, and then I connect to the VM through Windows Remote Desktop. It works fine when I run it locally on the server but it won't work when I remotely connected to the VM. Anyone that have had this problem and found a solution for it or doesn't exist a solution for the problem? I've attached a picture of the failure down below. This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team. Aktually GPost it´s not possibly to create GPost fils with a file extension with more than 2 numbers. An example for the actuell format is: uncx01.f01 In our company we have more than 99 machines therefore a problem with GPost. The Idea is to extend the possible numbery, maybe to 4. I had a part with 4 of the same cuts in it so I programmed the first 1 then Mirrored it to the second third and 4th location then ran play path and everything cut fine. I then ran Module works and it showed the cut cutting outside of the windowed cut so I turned in a case about module work showing gouges or collisions where play path didn't. I started a support case#13023191 where Module Works gouges and play path doesn't ModuleWorks ImageActual part cut imageI wasn't sure which to trust. So now the issue goes to why is play path not showing the proper tool path? This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
