Mathcad

My company, Aerolab LLC, purchased a floating network license for Mathcad. PTC support installed Mathcad Prime 9 remotely for us. He gave us no information as to where the license is located or how to access it. I am trying to Install and activate another copy of Mathcad to use this floating network license. Please help.

I have purchased the student account. However, I have not received my product code.When do i receive this? Should this not be automatic for a digital product?

Hello,In the solution to my recently asked question "programming a recursion" it was noted that MC has problems with the accuracy of long-number arithmetic. As a test in derive I have successfully solved the following task: To determine a power of two, i.e. 2^n for natural n, which begins with the decadic digit sequence 2023. I am interested in an MC-compatible search algorithm.If you are interested, I would be happy to provide my derive solution as an attached text file. Which text format is desired here in this forum? I'm trying to buy Mathcad for use in the classes I teach.  PTC seems to have handed off their online sales to a company called Digital River, but the web site also directs me to a sales rep who works for a company called EAC Product Development Solutions.  She offered to sell me a 1 year license for $295 when the online price is $56.   I don't understand what's going on.  Is this the same version?   I just got off the phone with the rep at EAC (who was professional and helpful, BTW) and she couldn't explain what PTC was doing, but is trying to get me an answer.  She did say that she gets lots of complaints about how hard it is to deal with PTC.  Ugh.   Can anyone in the community enlighten me?  It seems like PTC has decided to outsource their sales, but has sent it to two different companies who don't talk to each other and have different pricing.  Can this be right?  I have to be missing something.   Mark      

We have an older perpetual version of Mathcad that we need to move from an old computer to a new one.  I cannot find anywhere in my account profile to change the MAC address so that the new computer will be recognized.  Does anyone know how to do that?

Here, the students and I saw an animation on the site Pendulum - Wikipedia showing the position of the velocity and acceleration vectors of the pendulum.We wanted to reproduce the acceleration animation in Mathcad - see the animation and the file in the attachment.But our animation is different from Wikipedia's animation -  we have a maximum acceleration, and there is a minimum. Where is the error - with us or in Wikipedia?  

Hello everyone, I hope you are all doing great in your daily life. I need a little help in solving the differential equation as I m new to MathCAD prime. I m trying to get the solution stated in pdf in MathCAD prime but I m stuck at differentiating the equation. If anyone can help me out I will be really thankful. I m attaching pdf as well as MathCAD prime 8.00 file for reference. PS: 2.pdf shows the results i want to plot, 1 png is the case i want to solve and 2.png are the boundary conditionsThanks

I'm trying to check the flange thickness ratio, b/2t, with b=18 and t=0.75. Therefore b/2t=12. 18/(2*0.75)≤12 returns true, of course, but b/2t≤12 returns false. This does not happen with most other values of b and t. What's going on here and is there any way for me to fix it?

Hi. I have MathCad Prime 8.0 student version/license. That will expire after 17 days now and I like to renew it. I try to do it online but webpage is asking Customer Number, Product Code or something else what I cant find or dont know. How I can renew my student license and can I renew it to MathCad 9.0? My studies is still going on so am I still justified to same price?I love U product. Most students of our department use Texas Instrument's TI-nspire CX series calculators and MathCad ofcourse. There is many apps/softwares for that calculator. It would be SUPER if theres any way to convert MathCad to that calculator too. I and propably many others would buy that product. Calculator work already like mathcad, except it count row by row so U cant change variables (which U have set on start) at end of calculations. Basicly U should do only worksheet's instead of row's or like row's should be interactive. Let me know if U ever gonna do that.

Is there a way to have the internal links be active after printing to PDF?

A friendly hello to all,again i need help. It's about the recursion u(n+2)=7*u(n+1)-3*u(n)+3 for natural numbers n. How does the calculation and tabulation work in MC15? In derive I managed it successfully. But in MC15 everything is possible, just not the correct result. I just can't get a grip on programming in MC 😞 .The background is the transformation of the formula u(n)=((1/2)*(7+sqrt(37))^n+((1/2)*(7-sqrt(37))^n-1 given in Binet-Art into a recursion and examination of divisibility by 3.Kind regards, Alfred Flasshaar

Is there a way to find max values for two columns, outputted as one column in prime 9?    

I'm writing this as I had to work long on a converted legacy Mathcad document to prime.Since being forced to convert legacy Mathcad documents to Prime I get from colleagues (who're proof reading my calculations) the following questions:What does EXPLICIT mean?Why don't you cut down on the surplus decimals in equations?What happened to the tidy calculation reports I used to submit?All this proves that Mathcad Prime is far from the "...professionally formatted document..." PTC claims to provide.  See results in the screen shot below.   

I am trying to install MathCad. But i have not recieved a license. I am a student and i did recieve the download link. In the installer it does not show any applications to install.

Hi, look like solving block solves the equation, but lower, it says that the variable is undefined. What am I missing?   

Management has asked me some questions about MathCAD 15 that our users are refusing to upgrade to MathCAD Prime 9. We have licenses for both programs. Are there any security issues with using MathCAD 15 and the files it generates? We are working in the nuclear industry so a lot of the calculations and data used are classified and we want to be sure that nothing in MathCAD will allow that data to be inadvertently compromised. Does someone know when the End of Support date was for MathCAD 15? We can maybe use this as leverage to force the users to adapt to MathCAD Prime 9.  

An image imported into Mathcad when scaled does not show properly. It does not matter even if the image is having high resolution. This problem has been persistent since many versions of Mathcad Prime. Please fix the issue.
