Mathcad

My goal is to produce a graph of ST vs pi(c) which is a variable from 5-60 with increments of 2 (dimensionless value). I have no idea why the value of tau(c) on the graph has an error and it said that this value must be a scalar. the value tau(c) should be dimensionless as well. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello All, Sorry for previous posts did not tag a answer, I am a newbie, will not happen again haha. For this post I am trying to read through some previous mathcad solutions and am unsure what this syntax means, does anyone have any idea? Is it saying if mod(j,2)=0 AND mod(j,4)=2,-1,1) then return 0 (screenshot 1)? I have a older version of mathcad so I am also unsure how to write this in my version (screenshot 2). I am a long time mathcad user.  After retirement in 2016, I purchased a permanent licence for mathcad prime 3.1.  It was working fine until recently, when the installation reverted to express mode.   my attempts to “re-activate” the installation to to full functionality have been unsuccessful. I have obtained licence files through the self-serve tools, but when I try to use them, I get a message stating that the server is unavailable or down.  Because I do not have an active support account, the PTC support team is inaccessible to me.   I find this to be maddening, because I have a permanent licence for Mathcad, I cannot get it to work, and I can’t find any help at PTC.   any suggestions or assistance would be appreciated    mike o’neill

Relatively new user of MathCAD here. I am trying to define a series of piecewise functions using if functions, then plot them by evaluating the function over a vector with a simple programming loop. When I define the input vector (i.e. the x points) using elipses like so:   x:= 0 ft, 0.05ft .. 9.25 ft   , I get an error. When I manually define an input vector ("Matrix/Tables" tab, "Insert Matrix") it works. Two questions:   1) Why is this? What is different between the two definitions of the input x vector? 2) Is there a more efficient way to define the input vector than manually defining a matrix? Dear community,   I have a weird problem during installation of Mathcad Prime 5.0 Express. On three machines with Win10 the installation gets stucked at the "Application Selection". It does not show the list to select an application and I can not process with the installation. It's just an white empty screen. I had Mathcad Prime 4.0 installed before and uninstalled it.   What can I do to install Mathcad Prime 5.0?   Yours, Robert

Hi, In Mathcad 15 there is a warning (green underline) when using a duplicate variable name. Is this possible in Prime 7?    

So my starting parameters are P1= 7.5 kW and n1= 750 rpm.   On the left side Mathcad is converting my units to SI which messes with my final results.   For this formula I have to use P1 in kW and n in rpm, which mathcad is changing into W and revolution per second. Right side is how to calculation is supposed to be going by the formula.   Is there a way I can fix this? I saw that in Mathcad 15 you could define a custom unit system. Is there anything like that for Mathcad Prime? Thank you!          

I am trying to convert a .mcd file to .xmcd using the MCD converter available through MathCad prime. However, every time I try to convert, it says "Unexpected error encountered during conversion."

Hey Community!! I am using Mathcad in my work place and one of the problem requires extremely complicated solve blocks. The Solve block that I am working has near to 20 equations and 20 unknowns, it used to shoot errors that the units are not compatible, which I diagnosed after some work, but now the solve block works but the never end up getting solution. When I calculate the problem for a single point in an other Mathcad sheet it works very fast and nice. But when it is combined with equations in a solve block, it never finds a solution instead shoots error ("Solution not found, change guess value or tolerances"). I did try changing the guess values, nothing works and tolerance is set to 10^-1, the maximum that it could be set for. What should I do in such case? I used the guess values from my single point solution.I cannot upload the entire mathcad file because of company's privacy matters but I can attach screen shots.Thanks in Advance.    

Hi,   I am  a single user who works on multiple different physical machines depending on where I am (laptop or desktop at home, and a separate desktop in office).   I work for myself and will be the only person using this license. Is is possible to use the same license on 3 different machines, given that they won't be used simultaneously?

Hello all, I hope you all are well.   Today my issue is the use of sbval to solve this 2nd order ODE. I have tried to follow solution steps published by other Mathcad users but I can't help but think the solver is getting stuck in a divide by zero or something equivalent? I have tried a couple different ways to define the function. Let me know what you think. 

Hello Community, I have been trying to access Refprop (Excel add-in) from MATHCAD Prime 6.0 through Excel Component. My requirement is Excel should take the input from MATHCAD and will paste the output generated in Excel back into MATHCAD. While executing, I found that it is writing the input in Excel given through MATHCAD but not calling the updated output values in EXCEL back into MATHCAD and showing the error. Later on, I found that it is entirely removing the VBA code for the required property function that's why it is showing an error.   Can I get an idea that how can I tackle this problem? or Is there any other way to integrate Refprop in MATHCAD? Could you please help as it will be part of my project?
