Hi,I’m looking for some help with coding a script that can extract information (such as section type and associated loads) from an external source, like Excel, and import it into a developed Mathcad sheet. The goal is to check section capacity in accordance with the relevant codes and standards.I appreciate this request may be a bit broad, and I am aware some example codes exist here: Code Examples. I noticed an issue with MCP11 vs 10 regarding Advanced Controls List Boxes where the selection is not preserved when a file is saved/closed/reopened. Anyone else seeing this issue?Without selection preservation, List Boxes are basically useless. I have this general relativity solution to Godel's metric solved in MathCAD 15 that runs just fine.  I wrote it in 2016 so details are a little fuzzy as to how I did it :).  I tried to convert it to Prime 11 and got several errors.  Are the errors easy to fix, or does it require a complete rewrite of the programs within?

I'm starting to use tables a lot as a convenient way to enter groups of related data. In a spreadsheet-like way I would enter rows (or columns) of data that I want to annotate somehow. I've tried using strings (double quote) as elements and MCP seems to be unhappy with that. thoughts? suggestions? TIA! (Prime v11)

I'm using MathCAD 15.I'm trying to solve this six-equations-six-variables system of equations. But no matter which initial guesses I use, I have not been able to solve it. Also, I'm using unitless values.The error that is displayed is in the screenshot. Clicking "Trace Error" only leads it to saying that the problem is in α1 being undefined (which does not make sense). Randomly, it even points to some cosine or even a "2".How do I fix this?  I believe there's something very basic that I'm not paying attention to. Thank you for your attention.The file is attached.

Good Morning, I have encountered a problem solving a symbolic equation using Mathcad Prime 11.0.0.0. I try to evaluate the derivative of function using keywords from Sybolics (Operators and Symbols).The error is: "More than one independent variable for keyword solve.What I try to do is to find when the derivative of the function is equal zero. To find max/min of a function.One variable in function f(x) is x. The rest is defined above. So I do not understand what the problem is here. Variable x should be in metres , from range 0 to 1.Please see below. Also file in attachment.   What did I wrong? Is there a better way to find a solution? Anyone could help? I made my homework in mathcad 15 in uni lab and tried to open it on my pc, since I have mathcad 11 prime I tried to convert it with built-in converter and I got an error. Attached both XMCD and Log(XML) file.

How can I determine the maximum absolute value of a vector, but have the result appear with its corresponding sign?. Thanks to the community for your attention.

Helo folks!Please see the attached file.How can I filter the range variable or vector so that it basicly creates a new one but for values greater then, let say 9 (like in the file attached) it returns 9 for all remaining values in the range.Please help.Thank you.

I am trying to evaluate the sum shown below. I get "This array index is invalid for this array" but I don't see it. I would have thought that if the upper value in the sum is less than the lower, MC would give zero. That is not the case. Maybe this is the problem but, if so, I don't see how to solve it. As always, any help would be appreciated. 

Hello everyone, I hope you are doing fine!I recently calculated wave theory selection using Mathcad Prime 9.0.0.0. I'm curious, is there a way to determine the region automatically for given points? I want the function to return "Linear/Airy", "Stokes 5", "Stream Function 3", etc. based on the chart.Does anyone know? I attached the full calculation below.  

I'm using MathCAD 9.0.0.0If ......and......then why does......when it should clearly be "50" layers in the base?My program is attached. Thank you,        Brent 

Units are converting wrong, when I have psi multiplied by inch it gives me units of (lb/s^2) and when I do a kip multiplied by in it is giving me units of ((lb*in^2)/s^2)

I was just playing around with the function format to see if I could create a readable, compact form that displays the values of variables in an expression.   To do this, I wanted to use the Unicode character point 10 or 13 to generate a newline.   This worked in Prime 10, and I'd previously used it to create string justification functions, such as:     Mathcad Prime 11 has broken this behaviour.  I now get:     Why did PTC do this?  Is it a bug that got introduced, or was it deliberate?  If the latter, what benefits accrue to the user that outweigh the loss of functionality?   I've been requesting more sophisticated strings since before Mathcad Prime was developed and throughout its entire existence—for example, HTML or RTF.   Taking even such a limited capability away is irritating in extremis.   Stuart   @DJNewman , @amcgough   

I'm trying to find out what was changed or fixed in datecode 11.0.1.0 compared to 11.0.0.0. If there is a summary of changes/fixes on the website someplace, I haven't been able to find it. I support our company's users and would like to be able to tell them what is changed in 11.0.1.0 before they upgrade their installed version.

I am using Mathcad Prime Release 8.0 and Datecode8.0.0.0I want to add an iteration process to an ODEsolve block. It would require iterating an initial condition until two of the solutions match.

Is it an error in Mathcad Prime?

There is a problem with Prime8 in the way it assigns parentheses when differentiating functions - for example: This of course looks correct - but if you  paste the answer into another equation - Prime8 erroneously assumes the leading differentiation applies to the remainder of the expression i.e.:  So Prime8 should have given the original differential with parentheses assigned as follows :  When deriving complex partial differential expressions  (@SP_9781969) this defect is a problem. The workaround is to manually correct the results at each stage by inserting brackets at the right place - however, even this can be tricky as  Prime8 conflates everything together and won't allow brackets to be inserted around the correct terms - so you have to cut and paste - and exercise that itself can inject errors further errors.
