Hi,   I have a problem that i hope someone here have a solution for - see below (also attached).  

Hi,   Trying to use Mathcad for the first time to optimise a heatsink. Trying to find hL in the screenshot below, it's units should be W/m^2*K, any idea why it's breaking down to kg/s^3*K? Any help would be greatly appreciated.   

This is a very elementary question, but I cannot find a solution. I have two columns of numbers, the first (angles) goes from 0 to 90 in steps of 10, but I plot them in radians. The second  column is the measurement result at each angle, i.e. 10 values, the first being zero and the others are negative values down to -21. When I try to make a polar plot, I get the measurement values plotted in the 240 to 270 degree sector, and the radial axis goes from 0 in the centre to +21 at the perimeter. If I try plotting in degrees, I get a bizarre scatter plot over the whole circle, but only 7 points are plotted. How can I plot these data correctly?

Hi, I bought a book called Thermal Engineering Studies with Excel, Mathcad, and Internet, and I replicated a problem in chapter 1.    I wondered if someone can point out what I am doing wrong because I'm not getting the answer. The message that I get is that the value must be a scalar or matrix.    I also attached the file I was working on in Mathcad Prime 3.1.   Thanks! 

I downloaded Mathcad prime 5.0 via the link provided after purchase. When I doubleclick setup.exe (after unpacking), I got prompt "Do you want to allow changes to your disc?", I press "Yes" and the window closes and nothing happens. I have Win 10 and MS framework installed. Any advice?

I'm trying to install Mathcad Express by opening the installation file pim_installmgr_mathcad.exe that I downloaded from the ptc website, but this doesn't work. What should I do to make it work?

Using Mathcad 15 to do curve fitting of measured data. It's pretty tedious to down-select a subset of the data, analyze it and publish the results. over-and-over-and-over again (e.g. every time the test laboratory runs a new test).  Wondering if there's a faster way.   I'm using the Excel Component rather than File Input (or other means of getting external data into Mathcad).   I have a bunch of test data in Excel. Every test is stored in a different file.  Every file has different numbers of rows.  Inside the data are several events.  I'm only interested in doing data analysis between two specific events. Meaning the size of the data I'm interested in and its location in the file is variable every time the test is run.   My work flow looks something like this: Excel save-a-copy of my pre-processing / post processing template. Copy / paste the data from the test lab's Excel file into my template. Inspect the template for the measurements that indica

Trying to Activate with the Key file that you emailed me, but it will do nothing after browsing to the license key location on my computer. I selected the product to be activate and all I have is the screen that says Done, the following products has been licensed (PTC Mathcad Prime 6.0.0.0), and my only choice is to Exit. if I do Exit, it still says 28 days left or less days.

I tried to start Mathcad 15 and it gave me a license error. Specifically the host of the system doesn't match the host id of the license file. I'm using Windows 7 and haven't started Mathcad in several months. I'm on a laptop and recently switched to a new wifi router. That, along with any software updates is the only thing on the computer to change since the last time I ran Mathcad. The license path in the popup has my correct license path info and gives a flexnet licese error of -9,57If i use the license wizard to configure the license for use it says the selected license has been installed and Mathcad licensing has been configured to use it, but it still won't work.To quote King Arthur in Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Any help you could give me would be helpful.Jim Petty

I have downloaded the trial version of Mathcad 15, bought a single user new license. PTC setup is running for a long time, but it seems like it is hanged at 75% installation progress......how long it takes to complete the installation? What should I do? Should I cancel the installation, and restart setup again? Thank you, Hawal

We are looking to integrate MathCAD to a configurator, so that input generated by the Configurator is fed to MathCAD, and the calculation output is fed back to the configurator. Does MathCAD have APIs to fetch inputs from an external system (which is not CAD/CAE system) and then output it back to the same external system?

MathCAD after being launched shows in the task bar and in task manager, but the window is completely off the screen and cannot be seen. Is there a command that will bring the window back on to the screen?

The flow of issue:   1. Received an email for the Mathcad Express trial   2. Clicked on download PTC Mathcad Express prompt, takes me to a new window   3. Selected install software button and opens a tab for a moment and closes with NO installation   I have a 64-bit operating system with windows 10.  Is there a bug in the installer?

Hi All, I just figured out how to use prime 6 to solve differential equations both for numerical and symbolic. And if I set the initial value for numerical solving as 0, the results are exactly same with that of symbolic solving. But if I set the initial value for numerical solving not equals 0. The symbolic solving is hard to get the same results.  I learned how to solve differential equations in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7xgvPoL_KMg, from 14:00 to 30:00. The examples in this video are based on initial values equal 0.  So could anyone let me know is there a way to solve symbolic differential equations with symbolic initial value? Thanks.

I bought a new PC and now I cannot download the MathCad file.

I need to find a vector v=(v_1, v_2,...) such that F(v_i) - p_i = 0 using the root function. Is there a simple way to do this? Thanks.  

Hello to everybody. To define loops in mathcad, any release of it, I use the simple statement "m=1,2..nmod", where in this case nmod is the maximum number of modes for an electromagnetic calculation. Since my background was in fortran or similar languages, I initialized a variable "totcap:=0" and then I tried to increase this value calculating each time terms to be added with respect to the previously calculated one, updating the quantity "totcap", ending the loop with the statement "return m", being m the index that I defined. Actually, but probably is my trivial error in using Prime, it seems that I mixed variables that cannot be summed... Attached is the file. May you help me?
