Mathcad

Good morning everyone,   I was trying to print my results and I noticed that the lines are shifted in the PDF (see image attached).   I tried several printers but always the same result.   Anyone knows how to fix this?   Thank you for helping,   F.

Greetings, I just started learning Mathcad and have been getting incorrect calculations using the sin function, when t=1s and 2s, Mathcad gives me the same result and the result is not even correct (t=1s, it should've been 3.41 not 4.33; when t=2s, it should've been 2.193), I am also getting a straight curve instead of a sin wave. Can anybody help me out?       

  can someone please help. i have tried everything but i can not get it to calculate. Keeps saying Units are not compatible    

I am trying to solve a simple PDE (Fourier equation). Initial condition is 0, BC - at x=1, Temp=1 and x=0 the flux is zero due to symmetry.   I am getting zeros for solution. What am I doing wrong?  Thanks.

Hi, I am trying to solve  a simple differential equation that uses an excel acceleration vs time as the driving force. I have used linterp to ensure that time values used in the solve can be extracted from the input acceleration versus time data.There also seems to be an issue with too many initial conditions. I would have thought you need 4 but this solve block only seems to need 3? Any assistance would be appreciated. Thanks ross

Hello, I am new to MathCad (version 15.0). I found similar issue in other posts but I was not able to implement it. I want to solve a system of equation for 4 equations and 4 variables. I receive the error "The symbolic result is too large to display". I need the symbolic result, because I am trying to find a general formula for any number of equations and variables for a specific problem .I'd appreciate it if you could help me with this issue.   I have attached the relevant file.   Thanks. Hi, Mathcad close automatically but an automatic save has been created. Othewise, the file cannot be open, see the warning message and the file in attachment. The extension is good and the file is not empty (8646 ko). Thank you for your help. Bianca

Dear helpers,   I am currently trying to solve the reaction of a laminated plate by using the Newmark-Integration-Scheme based on the First Order Shear Deformation Theory (the force acting on the plate is sinusoidal in time). Therefor I wrote a loop which calculates the needed Wmn for every next time step dependent on values of the current timestep.   My problem is that this calculation needs a lot of time at the moment (especially when I try to plot the last equation) so I can't see if my calculations are correct.    My question is if there is any mistake I did by programming the loop because this is the first time I was programming in mathcad.    I am thankful for every advice. I've been trying to get my sheet to solve for B but it keeps telling me "No Solution was Found".  Is it possible that I just have too much going on that the program is unable to solve it?  It's a little sloppy right now I know but I wanted to get it working before I spent the time making it look good.   On the second page, I was able to get it to solve.  For these, is there a way for it to only give me the positive solution?  I tried also doing "assume, B>0" but it still just gave me the three answers seen.

how can i disable built in constants like "e" when i want to use e as symbolic and not e=2.7 or e as some index like Xe

Hello,    I want to solve an equation with vectors symbolically. The equation itself can be solved symbolically by Mathcad. The symbolically result of the equation can not be shown, but it can be used if I assign the equation to a function.  Now I want to use vectors with many data to get a solution for my unknown variable xB. I tried to use a Control variable i, but that did not work. If the values are inserted into the equation directly, Mathcad finds two Solutions. So my Question is if someone finds a way to get a solution for xB and even if it is possible to solve an equation with vectors symbolically?  The file is attached below.   Thank you for your help!    Christina

I have been trying to install MathCAD Express for quite some time now. The installer downloads and installs Diagnostic Tools just fine, but the PTC MathCAD prime gives a download error of, "Download Error: Please check the network connection and start the installation again."   I hope someone can help; MathCAD is required for several of my classes! Thank you

Hello, I just have installed the new mathcad prime 5.0 and now I am wondering why the new chart component option can't hande units?? The whole program is made for calculating with units.  So my question? Are there any posibilities to work with units in the chart box insteed of dividing the unit? Thank you Yous Simon

Dear helpers,   I have a time dependent equation in x and y and I would like to export the local minimum of that equation dependent on time.  My idea was to set a time step first and then export the minimum for every time step in an (excel-)table (because I need to plot the results in excel for my diploma thesis). Therefor I tried to program a loop but it didn't work.   Is there anyone who can help me out? Is there another way to solve this?   I am thankful for every advice.   PS: the equation is w(x,y,t) at the end of the file. I set t=1 to show the results at this time in the plot.

Hello Community,   I have a worksheet running Monte Carlo simulation where I look at the output array and calculate a mean and standard deviation.  I would like to use those results to calculate the number of simulations where the result was out of a range. For example, calculate the number of results than are more than 3 standard deviations from the mean.  I can write "for" loops to do this work, but I feel like there might be a more elegant way to "throw out" out of range elements of an array.
