Mathcad

Hi~~I am trying to get the output text file from mathcad prime with the function "WRITETEXT"  but the arrangement of columns (total 6 col.) fell apart as shown in attached file. How can I make it ? Thanks in advance!!

Hi,I am having performance issues with the attached worksheet and would appreciate any help/guidence. I am trying to calculate the deflection and stress along a pipeline during flooding / installation. I am relatively confident that the equations are correct, as the spreadsheet works for a single input of water depth (delta c). So the aim of this sheet is to rewrite it so that maximum water depth is calculated based on allowable stresses. I have managed to calculate the deflection, slope and bending moment, but the spreadsheet takes a long time to converge. I am looking for a more efficient way as I have passed delta c to all dependent variables and sure this is the issue. . Thanks in advance.Mike

Hello.I need to solve many simple ODEs and I need coefficients of each power of x. I don't know how to do it or whether it is possible in this software (PTC MathCAD Prime 3.1). Please help. I show example below.

Sehr geehrte Community,Ich habe seit einigen Tagen ein Problem mit meiner Student Version von Mathcad Prime 3.0Obwohl die Datei schon lange installiert ist und bis jetzt immer einwandfrei funktioniert hat, kann ich jetzt auf einmal Mathcad nicht mehr öffnen.Während des Startens schließt sich Mathcad sofort wieder, die Fehlermeldung erscheint dabei nur kurz, hab sie dadurch nicht lesen können.Ich habe dann im Mathcad Prime Ordner unter den Logs nachgesehen und dort steht: "Current license type is: NoLicense" (im Anhang befindet sich die ganze Datei)Daher meine Frage:Kann mir bitte jemand helfen mein Mathcad wieder zum laufen zu bringen? I have a complex design program written in Mathcad 14 (15). I create 3 HTML formatted outputs - each output is stored in a variable. In Mathcad 14/15 I pass these variables along with a user chosen filename to a scriptable button. The script then takes the data and writes out the 3 HTML formatted files to the hard drive, appending a time stamp to the HTML and adding an extension to the selected file names. Works great!Now the problem is that Prime 3 no longer supports the scriptable buttons and the read/write functions in mathcad will only let one write out matrices of numbers - they will not write out a string variable. I have tried to work around the problem by creating an excel component, passing in the data into cells and then adding a button to the excel component that when clicked executes a VBscript macro. The issue is that Prime 3 hangs up and does not return to Mathcad with the time stamp that lets me know the files were written out. In fact any excel component that executes V

I'm hoping Mathcad might provide a solution.I've looked through the help files and performed various searches but to no avail. I am a novice Mathcad user.For those who aren't familiar, all that really matters is that we have a structural model which contains many 'elements'. I see the "WriteDXF allows PTC Mathcad users to create 3D models mathematically then save them as DXF files, perfectly suited for incorporation into CAD assemblies."  But, I cannot locate documentation for how to do this.  I'm new to the community, so I may just not be looking in the correct area, but I've searched for "writedxf" in multiple locations on the site.  Is anyone using this command/feature that could give me some tips?  Many thanks, Jessica

Hi,I'd like to solve the the problem on disc cam profile generation. In the disc radius, roller radius and eccentricity are the parameters. I am interested to optimise pressure angle. where Base circle radius,   is eccentricity  , is displacement function and   is velocity function.I'm not sure how to do this in MathCAD. CAn anybody help to optimise pressure angle. pressure angle should not be greatter than 30 degrees.The end goal is to optimize Pressure angle to  a certain disc radius, roller radius and eccentricity.

Hi there,I am currently trying to write an equation in Prime 3.1 which includes resistivity.For some reason it is not letting me put the units as Ohm-m and hence not letting me complete the equation.Has anyone got any ideas how to over come this?

I'm attempting to do a simple matrix subtraction operation and it doesn't appear to work.I just get the "Array Dimensions Do Not Match" error however as shown in the attachment, the dimensions clearly match.Not sure if it has anything to do with one matrix have double parentheses (not sure why as I didn't intentionally creat this) and the other having single.In any case, I've attempted multiple things including using the Vectorise but this doesn't resolve it.Any assistance greatly appreciated.Thanks.Wade

hello folks,I fail to find the cause of my problem.When fitting a function to measurement data, the continuous version; i.e. with x a dependent variable, it works like a charm. when I try the same piecewise; i.e. with the values from the data set, all but the last value are zero. HelloCan somebody help me with my problem I am new at mathcad and I have this problem.Example if A is 201-300 its value in calculation is 2.65And if A is 301-400 its value in calculation is 3.68. So what i do so it calculate it correct answer.

Is it possible to assembly a global matrix from many individual local matrices?  Such as is done in stiffness matrix of a structural system?For example, if k.1 yields a 2x2 matrix with positions in regards to the global matrix 11,12,21,22.  And k.2 yields a 2x2 matrix with position 22,23,32,33 again in regards to a global position.  Can MathCAD assemble the matrix with correct positioning without building k.1 and k.2 as a 3x3 and then simply adding together k.1 and k.2?  Its simple enough when the global is a 3x3 assemble from a 2x2, but is much more strenuous when assembling a 10x10 matrix from (5) 3x3 matrices.

Hello,Attached you can see a solve block with a system of Differential Equations.Has somebody an idea what is wrong or is it a typical Prime-problem-if then it should be fixed in Prime 4.0?I tried to solve completely without units but then i got the same error message again.I am working with MathCad Prime 3.1Thank you for your efforts.regardsVolker
