I had a great deal of difficultly loading Mathcad 15 on my surface notebook until it was realized that .NET 3.5 framework was needed and though supported in the Windows 10 O/S was not preloaded.Having resolved that problem I still have issues with conversion. The error message I get is:If you have any insight to fix this problem it will be helpful.A
Error getting on mathcad. Trying to install MathCad 15Thank you for using MathaCad. You have reached the maximum number of license requests available for you product type. To upgrade to the latest version of Mathcad, please visit store.ptc.com.
Dear Friends,I'm quite new in Mathcad. I have basic question: I'd like to plot a graph of sin() function. I'd like to have argument of time in seconds and return values in Volts. If I insert for X-axis (which is variable t) unit s, Mathcad automatically makes this axis unitless [(1/s) *s]. What am I doing wrong? I know that I cen generate vector o time samples t:=0s,1s..10s but I don't understand why can't I simply change units from unitless to seconds?I attached picture.Thank You very much in advance for help.Best regards,Wojciech
See please the attach (Prime 3.1) too
I am trying to create a Haigh-diagram for a dimensional analysis of an axel. I want to plot a single point representing my situation vs my material limits plottet as graphs. But I am not able to figure out how. Below are my two results and third is how I want it to look. Can anyone explain how I can make it work? I am also interested to know how I can control what graphs are plotted to what x-values. In the second case two of my y-expressions is automatically assigned to my last x-values, alough I only want the last y-expression to be evaluated at the last x-expression.
Do you know this trick? See please the attach - Prime 3.1.
File to locate faults on a Transmission Line. Based on Schweitzer Negative sequence method. File can be modified to accept phase currents and voltages and then calculating the Negative sequence values.
I'm brand new to Mathcad and racking my brain over something which should be simple. All I want to do is write and plot the following:M : 6*P + 1440*GP: 1000, 2000; 10000G: 140, 141; 150My thought is that the solution indexes through each increment and 2D matrix develops and I plot with P (x axis), G (y axis), and M (z axis). But nothing is working for me. Can you help? Many thanks, dscott
At which value n the optic focus of lens is a geometric focus too?See please two pictures and two Prime 3.1 sheets in attach.

Do you know one more formula?
Hello,Would you please help me to create an RGB pattern in (theta-d) plane from Ired, Igreen and Iblue? In the attached program I have included a similar pattern that I obtained from Matlab code.Thank you very much.Payman
I met strange situation with match function. That`s the problem? With unitless V all is OK
Hello,I was wondering if you could help me with symbolic Fourier transformation. In the attached file, I want to see the symbolic expression of i=fourier(I).I appreciate your suggestions in advance.SincerelyPayman
hello every onei have a little problem when defining a range variable, and its that the variable doesnt display and i dont know why. if someone could see it and tell what's the problem it would be great.
I have a work sheet I use and it runs properly on a Windows 7 machine in Mathcad 010 but it fails to work in Mathcad 045 working on a Windows Surface book OS 10.the command isAny ideas? Is this a problem in OS or changes to MathCAD from 010 to 045?A
Hey guys. I have units problems when i use protencies and square roots. Can someone explain how i can solve this problem? for instance in the attached file i should have kN instead i get no units.
Can someone (or several) offer some comments about advantages of one vs. the other? I realize that could be a long answer and I am just looking for some general guidance. I have been a longtime MathCad user (though not necessarily a particularly adept one). Recently I decided to learn Matlab and started doing this by rewriting some Matlab programs in MathCad (although the reverse might seem more sensible). Although MathCad has obvious advantages for combining text and calculations in a more or less free form way, my impression is that MatLab offers many programming advantages. For example, fzero seems to work more robustly than root, MathCad seems to have no function equivalent to fminsearch or fminbnd, it treats NaN differently (MathCad returns 0).Attached is a MathCad worksheet and the equivalent (?) Matlab files.
In addition to last mail from Thursday there is attached a file with two versions of the program block mentioned. The program block Largefile.mcdx is the long version, which Prime 3.1 refuces to calculate (to big). The second program block Largefile_red.mcdx has 18 comment lines less than Largefile.mcdx and workes propperly.Input data to perform the calculation are included.Mathcad 14 can handle the larger program without problems.Günther Polz
I am using a program of 120 lines length, that can be handled in Mathcad 14 without problems.Prime 3.1 however indicates "This expression can not be calculated because ist is to large".Is there a general limitation in Prime 3.1 or is the problem created due to the transfer form MC14 ?Günther Polz
I've recently reloaded MathCad 14 onto my re-imaged Windows 7 computer on which it used to operate but the program will not start up. The icon on the task bar 'glows' and then dissappears without any request to find the licence. Has anyone come across this before and knows the answer? Thanks in advanceRichard
Hello AllRecently I have been working on my mathcad file which include formulas and some pictures and it worked fine for a while. I was able to close it every single day and open the file next day. But today I cannot open the file. The application I have on my system is PTC mathcad prime 3 and I havnot updated or change it since I installed it on my machine. I'm able to open other mathcad files but not this file. The log file says:Exception data:File being opened: C:\.....\Desktop\MyCalculation.mcdxFileFormatException when processing fileSystem.IO.FileFormatException: File contains corrupted data. at MS.Internal.IO.Zip.ZipIOEndOfCentralDirectoryBlock.FindPosition(Stream archiveStream) at MS.Internal.IO.Zip.ZipIOBlockManager.LoadEndOfCentralDirectoryBlock() at MS.Internal.IO.Zip.ZipArchive.OpenOnStream(Stream stream, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Boolean streaming) at System.IO.Packaging.ZipPackage..ctor(Stream s, FileMode
I'm solving the natural frequency of a structure. Pleas help. See attached file. How to do this in Mathcad Prime 3.0?
Hi all, please see attached.I am attempting to derive what I thought would be a simple enough equation to describe the maxima and/or minima of a "filter" function magnitude response. The example is a simplified version of my original problem and although in this case the answer is very obvious (w = 1), my original problem did not have so obvious an answer, And also, although I can easily plot the response, I would like to establish the design equations to allow me to work backwards from a requirement to a solution in equation form.In the worksheet, the symbolic solution seems to fail. I specify the function H(s) and then substitute s = 1i.w to obtain continuous frequency response. I suspect the problem is complicated by the use of the |magnitude| function which might make symbolic solution difficult - that's my guess at why this doesn't seem to work. If there is a better way then please let me know! I have been staring at this on and off for a few day
