Attention Geotechnical / Civil / Structural Engineers,Please see attached a copy of the Mathcad file I'm working on. The diagram is based on the author of a paper using different software to analyze a pile pile group. I tried the same problem using the method of deformation, but I was getting the wrong answer compared to what the author's answer using the different packages. Can anybody tell me what I was missing in the equations or provide the equations. The author's answer is at the end of the worksheet.Regards,Moses
How can I assign geometrical and Mechanical properties to a series of reinforcement bars and have them saved on the system or pre-established so everytime I perform a calculation I simply pull out the bar number and the parameters automatically are displayed. please see attachments. Thank you.
After a harware upgrade, I've installed MathCAD 14 on a windows 10 machine.Printing worked at first, but doesn't anymore. (Nothing appears at printer, and M/S print to pdf produces corrupt files; but other apps are OK).Circumstantial evidence from the dates suggests that the Windows Updates KB3149135 or KB3163018 of 16th June could be responsible.Has anyone else experienced this? (I've posted on the M/S forum too)Thanks
I am trying to find the symbolic Fourier Transform of f(x). Please see the picture below for the equation. I know from hand calcs that the answer should be e^(-2*(pi^2)*s^2). Instead, I am getting the strange answer shown below. Can somebody please show me how to get the correct solution using Mathcad? Thank you in advance,Tommy
Hello.I've written a program which finds the resonance frequencies of a recorder (using 2nd order Runge-Kutta integration) for various open and closed positions of the finger holes. Actually right now I am trying to get the same results in MathCad as in my earlier Excel program, so that I can easily move on to using complex quantities. I have attached the file.I am pretty sure that the basic computations are correct, and one can skip over them. The problem is with the minimization. Things are very sensitive to the inital "guess" frequency (at the top of the program). If I am off by say about 50 Hertz I get nonsense. Furthermore the final frequency found drifts slightly as I change the guess frequency. It's also very sensitive to the CTOL.The fundamental frequency for the hole configuration set right now is 353.4 Hz. If I guess around 800 Hz and search for the 2nd harmonic, I sometimes get around 743.9 Hz, but if I change the guess a tad I might get 347.1 Hz.Any help appreciated.R
I am a computer science student at the University of Aberdeen and I'm working on a project in partnership with Chevron in Model Code Design Tool. Its used to design pipelines in the oil and gas industry. Since my background is in pure computer science, I've never had a chance to use MathCAD before and my knowledge in this software is very minimal.In my project, I'm supposed to make a web app, based on HTML and PHP, and a database (possibly MySQL) and connect it with MathCAD for the calculation part. The basic idea is that a user can input new data through the web app, storing it in the database and when they need to process it, MathCAD should come into action. I have made a working front end and back end, but I'm not sure on how to connect MathCAD with the database. If its not possible, will it be possible to connect it with an Excel spreadsheet (to be used in the place of a database) and then access it? Can anyone guide me through this process? I am a total newbie in this software.Tha

Hi,I have been using creo 3.0 for quite a few years and new to mathcad prime 3.0.I am facing problems with respect to inconsistency of units while initiating "Prime Analysis" from creo analysis tab.When I set a creo dimension, which is in "mm unit", as an input to mathcad prime variable, it is shown as "m unit" in creo analysis window whereas "mm unit" in mathcad prime worksheet. While the values are shown calculated according to mm.Moreover, the value of output variable in mathcad prime displays in "mm unit", however, when I see it on creo analysis window, it displays in "m unit", actually calculated in mm.Someone please advise me , what am I missing?
Hi Everyone,I'm using Mathcad Prime 3.1 to solve ordinary differential equation. I'm doing a practice ODE to learn Mathcad Prime 3.1. When I type Given and type the rest of the equations as provided in the examples, Mathcad is not able to read the function "odesolve". When I open a Solve Block and use the same, I get an error saying "The arguments of odesolve are not correctly specified" even when the arguments are provided properly as given in the example. I have attached a screenshot of the same. Please someone help me on this.

I have made a model in Creo and try to drive its dimensions from Mathcad. It works the first time but when I modify the dimensions in Mathcad I see no way of updating the corresponding dimensions in Creo. Anybody who know how?

Hi,I have three equations which I want to solve. The equations are made up of variables which change according to a specific angle which updates them. I want to get the results as a vector which shows how they change according the angle which is changing the input values. Basically I want to input 10 values and get 10 answers out. But the "find" command that I am using just isnt accepting it. It only accepts one input and gives me the output, I must then go change the input to get the next output; but I want a nice set of vectors to do this in one step.Im not sure if I explained that the best but if anyone could tell me if the find command is capable of such a thing or if theres another way to get around it..such as a loop or something.Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanyou!Cameron
