Hi,Why when I added a constant value a to a derivative I see that the laplace transform of a derivative did not work as expected? Am I doing wrong something? Or?Prime 9 sheet attached..

When I ran the conversion tool it converted mathcad15 statementto Prime 9 Statement which only works if a precede it with an additional variable definition where NPS1 is already defined.Any ideas why this additional variable statement is required for Prime9 but not Mathcad15?

I have had Mathcad in versions 5, 8 and most recently 9 installed on my pc.I then removed versions 5 and 8 to gain storage on my pcNow I need to reinstall version 8 to be able to work on the same sheets as my teammates. However, when I go to install, it says that version 8 is not allowed. Any suggestions on what to do?

Does anyone have a method for calculating the speed of sound in wet steam?The standard method works for dry or superheated steam, but breaks down rapidly at and below saturation temperature.The 2015 paper by Šafařík, November, Jícha and Hackman "On the speed of sound in steam" shows a discontinuity in the speed vs dryness curves at about 0.98 dryness, but I do not know if that is supported by measurement.

Hello everyone, I hope somebody can assist me with this. I am working on a calculation for a planet gear with 4 sun wheels and 1 planet wheel. The aim is to determine the forces on the sun wheel. Initially, I have 3 equations and 4 unknowns. By making an assumption based on symmetry, I now have 4 equations. Unfortunately, I am not getting the correct results. Does anyone know where I can find more information on this or perhaps have a tip? Is my assumption correct regarding the average forces over the teeth? Thank you in advance.

Hi,How to find a function that fits to below data. This function is a resistance temperature dependent that will be further involved into another equation (Vout(Temp)), and then how to plot Vout(Temp) vs Temp? Temp is temperature, lets say from -60degC to 90degC. Mathcad Prime 9 fille attached.    

I have searched the community and only find wrapping long equation and not symbolic answers.  This works, but I was wondering if there was some built-in way to wrap symbolic answers similar to wrapping long equations, which I don't recall ever doing.  "No" is an acceptable answer.😄 Thanks as always.

Background:Although unimportant to my question, I am trying to resurrect a Filon Method of Fourier Transforms that I used over 30 years ago in a Fortran code (see my profile😕).  I am in the first steps, which require that I develop a polynomial fit to the function to be transformed.  Another function will not work in this method.My quandaries:Attached is a Mathcad 15 code for the first steps of this process.  You will also need the subroutine called; it is attached also.  I searched the PTC Community and found this reference:https://community.ptc.com/t5/Mathcad/The-best-way-to-extract-polynomial-coefficients-and-form-an/m-p/345426#M135001It states that the coefficients of the polynomial fit are the result of the regress(x,y,order) function.  However, that cannot be correct as I show in my worksheet. Is this the difference between Mathcad 15 and Prime?  My Prime version is very old and and I not very experienced with it.If that is not the case, how do

I have six tests and I have done the calculation for one test I need to do the same calculation for the remaining five tests and I don't want to copy paste the calculation, I want to use the same sheet for all the tests with enabling all the functions and calculation to change according to the input values ( general calculation). Hi, I have converted a calculation sheet from MathCAD 15 to MathCAD Prime 8. However, the macros embedded excel file is not working. I was prompted the message "macros is disabled". I have chosen the enables macros function in excel, but it is not working. I have to save the excel file separately to update the calculation but this will not reflect in the MathCAD,    Please help.

I converted a file from MathCad 15 to MathCad Prime 9. After the converting was made, MathCad Prime 9 is marking some of the variables with red Box saying that this variable is not defined (See screeshot). I noticed that the Problem is that Variable contains two level of subsripts and Mathcad Prime 9 cant see the second subscript. As a result all Variables will be seen as only one variable and not multiple diffrent variables. Can someone help me please? Thank you Greetings

In old Mathcad versions, the program performed calculation step by step, during the visualization of the page. Thus if you changed the value of a variable that was involved in a lot of formulas in the sheet, this action did not lead to a lot of calcs that you didn't need in that moment but only to the ones that you were interested in.Prime versions, perform all the calcs where the variable is involved, even those you are not visualizing and therefore are useless for you in that moment.This behaviour is strongly disappointing for long spreadsheets, where old Mathcad versions are much more satisfying.I wonder why this this behaviour has been changed moving from Mathcad to Prime. Hi, i have the follow system of 3 equations i need to find the operating region for the system where vrd, vrq, Re, Le, Nc, Cdc and w are constant parameters, Md and Mq are parameters that i can change and i want to introduce in the system to get all the Isq, Isq and Vdc solutions. Hi Folks, Here's a problem I saw on Dell laptop a while back and now have on my new desktop - a Dell running Windows 11.  I made a simple function of x and y.  It looks fine as a contour plot, but the 3D plot won't render.  Has anyone else seen this? This is the only graphics related problem I've had with either machine, so it doesn't feel like a driver issue. Thanks for your attention 🙂 Mark
