Good night, I'm having problems when performing calculations with complex numbers, the application is returning wrong values for division operations with complex numbers
Hi there- these two files are not passing through the converter. I have absolutely no idea why. I have tried removing the plot and plotting function from the soil force mathcad15 sheet but that had no impact on the conversion and its still failing. Any and all help is appreciated.
I have a set of 4 equations which are used to determine the relation between Bèta and Delta_L.Now I have to generate a list of values for alpha and through x2' and beta + y2' I am able to calculate Delta_L. For any value of Delta_L I then need to interpolate to get to the approximate solution. I would however prefer to have a direct correlation between Delta_L and Bèta without alpha (if possible of course). Thought the symbolic engine might be able to help but to be honest it's been a while since I last used it so I'm stuck. I have attached the formulas in the attached calculation sheet. Any help is kindly appreciated.
Hello all, I am having a bit of an announce with my header/footer in Prime 7.0.0. I have embedded the file name in the footer of my routines. Every time I open the routine the text block containing the file name 'resets' to a single line and part is not visible on the printed page. Is there a way to lock the text block to prevent this from occurring? It is not major but having to re-size the block every single time is annoying. Thanks in advance for the help
Every time I run Prime 8 it opensPTC Mathcad Prime 8.0 | Mathcadhttps://community.ptc.com/t5/forums/postpage/board-id/PTCMathcadHow do I stop it doing that? I am currently on Express as we work out the licensing details.
I am trying to solve for the length of a headed stud using a solve block with a constraint equation. The image below is from the attached worksheet and shows the solve block and the error message when I try to solve the equation. I would appreciate any corrections or suggestions on setting up the solve block correctly.
HiHow do I select which particular loops to skip. Depending on a condition I may want to skip loop "k" or "j" or "k" AND "j" and just get the next "i"How do I go about doing that in similar scenario to below:
Hi,I have been working for maybe a month now on my worksheets for geotechnical calculations and so far, with the support I have been getting from this community, I have been progressing very well so thank you ! Now I wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions on how I can present my data like this (see image below). I believe it would look better rather than presenting it this way (see below). So basically I wanted to create a graph that can provide the bearing capacity with respect to varying footing width sizes. I have attached the mathcad file below. You can go directly to the last page of the sheet. Thank you in advance!
Hello Experts, Somehow I am getting error in Mathcad Prime but it used to work with my 14 application
Each package gives quite different "simplifications" to a complex variable quotient. Old Mathcad defaults to a sixth order Series but Prime8 produces a shorter result that is quite different from that of 15M050.The error seems to be a function of the quotient complexity. I am careful to run both packages side by side on a new HP Envy laptop as I try to transition to Prime8 while writing a patent disclosure. This error makes Prime8 unusable for what I do.Has anyone else seen this?
Let’s face it, planetary gears are cool. They are used in all kinds of mechanisms, including transmissions, motors, and turbines. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to use Mathcad to build a worksheet that calculates the gear ratios and output speeds of a planetary gear under different configurations. The math behind the gear ratios is straightforward. But users should be able to select: The sun or planet carrier as the input; The planet carrier or ring as the output; and, The ring, sun, or planet carrier as the stationary component. How can the user select the desired component? How can you add intelligence to the worksheet to prevent an incorrect combination of input, output, and stationary? What inputs do you want for your calculator? You will have to make some choices. Your choices could include: Number of planets Number of teeth Component diameters Module / pitch Tools that you might consider include Combo boxes, programs, and functions involving strings. Here
I would like to remind all users that, with respect to the unit of measurement corresponding to 1000.0kg, there are differences, depending on the country where you are, and that Mathcad takes this into account. so you have to be careful:
Having already discovered mathcad's rpm "unit" is radians per min and not rotations. I am having a new issue trying to figure out why I'm getting incorrect solutions for power. Wrong Correct Thanks
Appreciate if you help to fix the error in the attached sheet Thanks in advanced
How to differentiate complex vector matrix expressions (quadratic forms, parametrically dependent matrices)? In mathematics, this is done by creating rules; I don’t know anything about other software packages. For example:Q1=x^T*A*x, and dQ1/dx=???Q2=x^T*B(x)*x, and dQ2/dx=??? x is a vector, and A and B are matrices.I know how to differentiate this manually, but I need Mathcad to do it automatically.
Whilst playing around with some array extraction functions, I noticed that Mathcad Prime 8 partially restores Mathcad 15's ability to directly use ranges as function arguments. Stuart
In Mathcad Prime I am unable to divide the expression by zero is there any alternate method available?
Why do I use the find function to solve the value of c and x1, but the value of x1 and c can't be found?
So I downloaded a huge zip file for my IT dept to install Prime 7File was : MED-60893-CD-270_7-0-0-0.zip about the size to fit on a CD.IT dude installed it and it morphed into Prime 8.Our licence server currently not set up for Prime 8 but only for prime 7 and below.I work for a huge bureaucracy so getting a Prime 8 licence installed will take more than 6 months even though we pay for the licence maintenance. ( I am not joking). So where can i get a Prime 7 installer - so that I can hold the IT guys hand and click the mouse for him.
Hello PTC fam,I don't know where did I do wrong in this programe.the question isDetermine least square method value of coefficients Ci( i=0,...,m) in polynomial form.Calculate the approximation error where m=3 Please advice.Regards,Adlil
Need help with part c of the question, I have attached my Mathcad file where I have tried to solve for radius with an effectiveness factor of 0.97. Please Help!
Hello, I'm new to MATHCAD. I was wondering if the following Dynamic Motions problem can be plotted in MATHCAD prime. If so, please show me how! The plot would need to be just like in the picture.
I'm setting up a program that will loop through a large # of trials (random process), and recording the result of each trial. Is there a mechanism that will allow monitoring of the output as the program progresses - say each time a loop is complete - rather than waiting for the program to complete its full complement of trails? This way I can see how the resulting statistics accumulate. I'm too impatient to wait for the whole thing to finish before getting an idea of what the results look like. Lou
Hi everyone,I would like to show a different jpg image depending on a certain result.Say for example that I have three sketches, saved in the active directory:sketchA.jpgsketchB.jpgsketchC.jpgThe three sketches have similar but not perfectly identical pixel number. I perform a certain calculation, that e.g. produces x as a result. Is it possible, using for example a conditional READ_IMAGE(), to let appear e.g. sketchA if x<=0, sketchB if 0<x<1 and sketchC if x>=1 ?I am actually using MathCAD 15.0. But would this functionality be available also in MathCAD Prime? How would you implement this functionality? Thanks a lot for any hintBest regardsClaudio
Dear friends! Tell me honestly: 1) I knew that the chain sags not along a parabola 2) I knew about the physical meaning of the parameter a of a catenary 3) I knew about a catenary number pi? See please the attach! I am waiting for your ansvers in this form 1 - yes 2 - no 3 - yes for example
