How to fix the surface plots? (Excuse me, in preparing the image with Paint, hastily, I made a little confusion but now everything is ok) Thank you very much.
I have a range of lengths. I need to sum them after pushing them through a function. Unfortunately the sum operator is not happy and stating: "Ranges with units must specify the second value in the range". Thank you for your time and help.
Does anybody have the Mathcad 11 Quicksheet colorimg.mcd? If so, could they please send me a copy? Many thanks, Stuart
My younger son pointed out the following YouTube video to me: It shows an ASCII Art toroid (doughnut/donut) written in C, with the code nicely obfuscated to look like a doughnut. I couldn't replicate the obfuscation in Mathcad (although my code is usually obfuscated at the best of times), but I did think that I might try to produce the "animation". If I had Mathcad 15, I could have used the animation facility, but as I'm using Prime 7.0, I constructed a vector of successive frames, instead. Stuart I would have presented a more generalized version (eg, user-defined: row size, column size, and perspective depth), but I only have a few more days of the 30-day Trial left, and far too many other worksheets under development to spend upon a relatively undemanding task.
It's strange where things can lead. I wondered if a matrix of consecutive integers had a special name in standard mathematical usage. I couldn't find such a name, but I did find a few with special names, including one called the Lehmer Matrix. Before I knew what was happening, I'd created a Mathcad worksheet implementing the Lehrer Matrix and its inverse, which has an explicit formula. The worksheet is attached. I can't check it properly because I'm about to run out of my 30-day trial period and lose both symbolics and programming. Stuart
I been trying to change the guess value but with no success.
Dear PTC Community! I am working on a big project for university and it is a requirement to insert the values of any variables into the formulas. I did that by using the symbolic operator aswell as "explicit, ALL". This seems to mess with the calculation results however. My guess is that the symbolic operator is treating the Units as unknowns and therefor not calculating properly. Look at the screenshot to see the problem! Is there any other way to visualise the values of said variables? Is this a known issue? Correct: Incorrect: Correct: Incorrect: Best Regards
T(R) -> Temperature is a function of resistance. Therefore, if I want to find out a Temperature at a specific Resistance you can plug in a value of 10 kohms and get a corresponding value of Temperature -> degrees C. -> This is Given. 3 Constants are provided and fixed. They are givens. Goal -> Rewrite T(R) Equations so that Resistance is a function of Temperature -> i.e. R(T) := ??????? I would like the equation in a format where I plug in a temperature and get a corresponding resistance. Again I am looking to rewrite T(R) as R(T):= Can somebody help
Hello, I need to compare two functions F1 and F2 to get get the variable x, but im new and having trouble with it. Could someone help me. Thank you
My computer knows not only the calendar date, but also the place where it is!
Is it one error in Prime (6). In Mathcad 15 all is OK - see please the attach!
I am pretty new to mathcad so working on and learning. Is it possible to get the result from programming in matrix form. I am trying but getting error. Can someone please help Sam
Mathcad hangs when trying to work on embedded excel.
Hi everyone, I was just curious as to the various Mathcad 15 VBA based API functionalities. I am aware of the basic functionalities of buttons and utilising the solvers in other software, but I was wondering about the practicality of the following ideas: -Running a VBA macro for excel which will take excel values and generate a fresh Mathcad 15 worksheet with custom equations based on the excel input values (not just filling in inputs in a pre-existing Mathcad, a full from scratch build of a Mathcad document, with scratch built equations) e.g: Simple excel sheet showing the square root of each number from 1 - 100, the macro takes the 1-100 inputs and creates 100 equations in a fresh Mathcad 15 worksheet that square root's the input, speeding up the work of manually having to write out each equation. -A button that takes values from a pre-existing Mathcad worksheet and inputs them into a fresh excel sheet that is formatted via VBA functions encoded into the button. E.g: T
Hi I'm converting my Mathcad 15 sheets to Prime 7 and while making this change I have noted that Excel components in Prime are blurry, so it is difficult to see subscriptions in a table. (Example picture as attached) Is there some way to increase sharpness in these Excel components? I also have another question about Prime. In Mathcad 15 it was possible to scroll down vectors, but with Prime the results are shown in impractical way. Is possible to get similar result visualization as could be used with Mathcad 15 (Picture as attached)? Thanks for any advice.
Hello! My iterative function "blows up" when calculating the displacement, velocity and acceleration due to a dynamic force. I do not understand why since from what I can see everything is correct. Any help is much appriciated and thanks in advance! Regards Ture
I'm trying to find a copy of this support article from https://www.ptc.com/en/support/article/CS325855 The web page itself is blank. Does anyone have it?
Hello, please forward it to the API development team. Please kindly send the interface GetMatrixElement(RowIndex as integer, ColumnIndex as integer, Value as double) - Gets the matrix element in RowIndex, ColumnIndex with Value. Change Value as double to support float64 or double because GOLang does not have a double data type, so I cannot get the Value of matrix. Thank you very much. Thank you My problem is that I can get the matrix value in Python, but I can't get it in Golang. I suspect that the value I get must be a variable of type double. Python supports double, but Golang has no double, only float64. So ask the technical person who developed this interface to see if they can get the matrix value for a variable of type Float64. thank you
Hello, Attached is Mathcad 11 file. I also converted it from Mathcad 15 to Prime7(attached). I did Nonlinear/ iterative solution in a manual way and another one with a small program at bottom of sheet. I have two load increments. In the manual way, it took two iterations per load increment to converge. When I compare the manual way to the little program: 1. Results matched in both methods for the first load increment , where you see green arrow and u=0.635. 2. Results didn't match for the second load increment. Manually, I got (u=1.613) after two iterations , but by the little program I got (u=1.599) where the red arrow is in the sheet ( please scroll down until you see the red arrow). Little program is shown at the bottom of sheet. For some reasons it shows a different number of iteration by the program. I appreciate any assistance! Thanks, Sam
Hi, I'm not sure if my subject is correct. But I'm looking for function to show the formula or equation that was used in a variable especially if there are conditions that was used in the said variable. see example below. Variable Leh has 2 formulas that was conditioned based on the value of variable nv. if the first condition was satisfied, i want to display the formula instead of the result of the formula. Thank you
I have the following problem. I have a vector containing 5 possible volt values and another vector containing 3 current values. I want to calculate in a solve block what the needed resistance is needed (according to ohm law). I can't figure out what is wrong with my solution. Thanks 🙂
I saved my file and then can`t open. It says 'The file type is not supported. Log file is located .
I want to get old looking matrix formatted into table with columns as it used to happen in Mathcad 15 I am unsure how to do that in Mathcad Prime Austin
Hi all, I need your help. I saved my mathcad file and then my computer crashed and now i cannot open it. It says 'The file type is not supported. Log file is located at C:\ProgramData\PTC\Mathcad Prime\Logs\MathcadPrime-Exception_20200506_163436.log Can i recovere it? This is very important! I use Mathcad Prime 5.0
