This is most likely a very stupid question but I do not succeed in this simple program. Attached is a MC 15 file I would like to automate in a small program the process mentioned in the highlighted comment. Would anyone be so kind to help me out as I do not "see" it right now.

Hello ptc community I have tried to find the maximum value of a function evaluated in a defined range, however the max or min function can only be applied to vectors. I would like to know if there is a function or some way that allows me to obtain the maximum value of a function. I try to vectorize the results as attached in the example, however this is limited to functions lacking units as far as I could see. I would appreciate any help This is the function that I have been working on, it is only referential but with this I wanted to imply that I prefer to use units during the calculation. (for more details see the attached sheet)   here I show how it is possible to vectorize a function already evaluated in a defined range but the above is not possible if units are used

Hello! I have a file i worked on all day that all of a sudden just crashed. Now when i try to open the file it reports that "The file type is not supported". If i open a backup from yesterday, the file opens fine. But all my work from a day is gone. Is there any chance you can recover it? I can attach it down below with the log file.

Hello,   I have a question, I am trying to document some of my calculations for future use.   The result I'm getting isn't what I get when I am entering this numbers on my calculator. The answer should be 11.3 m/s or 37/09 ft/s.   What I'm doing wrong?    

I cannot get my Mathcad Prime 6.0 to print to pdf or save to xps. I have a decent size file but I have noticed that with the Mathcad open and not much else my memory usage sits at ~5 GB. Once I try to print to pdf or save to xps the memory just creeps up over seconds/minutes until my 16 GB computer is tapped out.    Does anyone have ideas for work arounds to avoid this? or past experiences with print to pdf / xps issues and solutions that I can try?   Thanks, Michael

Hallo community,   actually i have an optimization problem and want to aks if that is possible in mathcad. For example if i have 8 input variables what i need to optimize and a few boundarys and a long calculation.  Is that possible within mathcad?   What good other program is there available? I have complicated formulas which are moore easy do write within mathcad because of the good mathematic notation and hard in other software like excel. But mathcad can only calculate on 1 cpu   The other problem is that i even dont know initial parameters for my variables to get a correct result so i need to exclude nonsense range of variables. I think i should be able to use a cpu cluster so i should be able to use more than 1 cpu fopr optimization problems   Thankx Stefan

Hello all,   I am trying to recreate a matlab program in mathcad and the only part I'm struggling with is finding a simple replacement for the matlab cumtrapz() function. It is explained in detail here and here.   So what I have are 2 vectors containing x and y plot points for a shear forces graph. I'd like to generate the moment plot points which involves getting the cumulative integral from one plot point to the next. I'm looking for the simplest way to do this.   A method I've found that appears to work but is a little overly complex is the following: a := cspline(x, y) b(x) := interp (a, x, y, c) c := 0,1..150 f(x) := ∫-b(x) dx   (integrate from 0 to x)   and then I can plot f(c) against c   Any help in simplifying is greatly appreciated. I would like to install Mathcad express. I have downloaded the installer, Lauched, and agreed to terms and export controll. Then on the Application Selection window, the path shows, but no applications show available to choose. Also, there is no customize button available. Why doesn't the PTC Mathcad show up in the "choose from the list below"?

I have an issue with the dimensions of density, variable roe, changing after I define it. I defined roe := 2.62x10^-12xkg/m^3.  When I used in a calculation I did not get the result I was expecting, especially with the wrong units. So, I displayed the value of roe right below my definition and the units changed; I got: roe = (2.62x10^-21)x1/kg^2 Where did this come from?   I ended up defining roe in terms of slugs/ft^3 and the equations were correct then on. I entered: roe := (5.084x10^-15)xslug/ft^3 When I then displayed the value of roe in English units I got: roe = (2.62x10^-12)xkg/m^3 just like it should be.  The following equations are solved correctly. Question: what gives?  I attached the actual Mathcad file.

I would like to ask few questions related to Mathcad Prime Interface as below:   Is there any database used by MC15 or MCP? What are the interfaces / APIs available to integrate with a custom solution? What language these APIs are developed? Are there any C# .Net interfaces available? I repeatedly encounter the following problem: When I use 'solve' to solve an equation or a system of equations, it works fine as long as I don't try to assign the result (see minimal example below and in the attachment), which is quite essential. It just starts to complain with 'This variable is undefined' but does not even mark any single variable.   - swapping the working and not working solve around does not change anything - giving the output variables different names does not help     P.S.: This must have been answered somewhere. I did find some similar posts but none helped me.

I am trying to Rotate a set of co-ordinates about a point using rotation matrix  , over a range of angles , I can do it in excel with ease using the data tables and i can get the values for different angles . Is there a way for using the same DATA tables of excel in MATCAD. Attached the file and i would like to vary the length of "ce" for a range of values and get the dependent values of L(H,I). Hello,   I tried to do a node analysis with a resistor matrix. The input of the voltage matrix should be variable, therefor I introduced an array with voltages. After the solver I get an error "This value must be scalar or a matrix.". What must I do to get the rigth result, doing the calculation without array works.   Thanks

Dear sir,   Now I am solving a design optimization problem using Mathcad prime 6.0 through python API. I uses comtypes library to deal with API programming in my Python code.   In python code, I can set a single variable easily and vice verse. However, I could not set a matrix and get it from Mathcad.   I really love to exchange variables which whether it is a real single variable or matrix between Python and Mathcad.   I could not find any solution method for this trouble.   Please help me with this issue. I really want to make them exchangeable for reproducible research work. Just got an error on a mathcad calc that says it is corrupted. Can this be recovered ?

Whenever I try to install MathCAD off of a CD or off of the downloaded application, I get the following error message. "Module C:\Program Files (x86)\Mathcad\Mathcad 15\tabler.ocx failed to register. HRESULT -2147010895. Contact your support personnel." Any suggestions on how to fix this?  

Hi,I use the error message function to inform me about some errors in a few functions. At the same time I use on error operator to get already calculated results in a loop. Without it I can't see what is happening (I can't get already calculated results). I want to find out which function causes an error without using debug mode. Is it possible? Simplified example without loop is attached.

can anyone help me and send me a converted file for prime 6 since I have only prime 6 installed and can't convert. tried to install version 15 and it won't take my prime 6 licence file, so i uninstalled it.
