Hi ptc community, I would like to make the following arrangement:   c="aply" a:5 b:3 c≡if(a>b,"aply","does not aply")   Is there any way to place a result of verification of several variables before said verification?   I know that the global definition makes two passes: in the first pass, it evaluates only the global definitions and dismisses all the regular definitions but it would not be great if in the first pass it evaluates the global definitions taking into account the regular definitions that are before this global definition so that in the second pass not have this problem?

I have no idea what im doing wrong as usual with Mathcad. I have been forced to go back to Mathcad 15 because i no longer have prime. Why am I getting an error that says undefined variable.   I am defining a few variables above that are hard set               Defined above Rin:= 100 DeltaV := .04 Intial Guess out:=100 given V = DeltaV * (out/Rin) Av = out / Rin find (V,Av) = And all i get is variable undefined               Im sorry, I don't know why it wont let me post the code. The sudo code is above I have double and tripled checked syntax. I am obviously not getting this. I absolutely hate 15 I can do this in prime with my eyes closed  

To all, I had to re-install mcad 15 (M050)  on my machine. Two issues I am having 1. I cannot save the file. I get an msg: 'filename.xmcd is in use' Save with a different name.     Clearly it isn't (it's a test)!! 2. Any existing files are open read-only. I have full access to these files   Any idea what is causing these issues? If 'yes' how do I fix them?   Thanks Regards

Hey I have a question. Since I am still quite new to this software, if you think my question is easy, please help me out. Suppose I have a value calculated at the end with different parameters. Wondering if there is any way that for each parameter, I can create a matrix or excel with two columns, one is the parameter number, and the other is the corresponding value, when keeping others constant.  Thanks a lot!

Hi,  I'm starting in mathcad and can´t solve a simple problem. I have a function  f(x) = 6.08 - 5.11*x + 1.04*X^2 and I have a matrix with many values of f(x). I would like to create a matrix whose rows are root of equation f(x). I will attached the matrix of f(x).   Thank you

I'm trying to reproduce some of my Mathcad sheets in MS Excel format. One of the biggest hurdles is a finding a simple way to define a range (or column in the case of a spreadsheet) of dependent values that are defined by a start, interval, and end value similar to Mathcad's range variable. I'm guessing I'm going to need to implement VBA, but my skills with that are pretty minimal.    Does anybody have suggestions or examples?

Hi,   Is it possible to use the CWD variable to reference worksheets? Meaning instead of clicking on the 'Include <<' button and choosing the referenced worksheet file, to write something like: "CWD\Reference.mcdx" in the field next to the Include << button. I'm using Mathcad Prime 6.0.   Thanks in advance.  

Hello,I am using PTC Mathacad Prime 6.0 student version for my civil engeneering procjet but after while about 2-3 hours program starts to lagging. Even adding new variable takes few seconds. The file is not big 127 KB and has 23 pages. When I restart my laptop everything is ok for next 2-3 hours. Any sollution?

Hello, I am new to MathCAD and need some help writing a loop. I have done this in MATLAB before when I was in college, but it seems like MathCAD works a bit differently and I just can't figure it out.   I have two variables for which I am inputting to a starting value, say A:= 1.5 and Dp:=3. Then there are a few lines of equations that all use A and Dp, and eventually output a final value that I named Apercent. My goal is to have the program automatically increase the inputs A and Dp from their starting values until Apercent is at least 100.     My plan is to create a while loop that says "while Apercent is less than 100, A will increase by 1/16 at a time. But if I reach an iteration where increasing A no longer increases Apercent, stop increasing A and instead start increasing Dp by 1/16". But I can just not figure out how to write this in MathCAD. Can anyone please help me and show me the proper formatting?

Hi ALL, To whom of interest: analysis of a linear time-invariant electric network, with the incidence matrix method. However, something is not correct for me, see last photo (there is the sum of an integer number and an inductive admittance, that is the dimensions of both terms aren't the same). Where is the mistake?.

Hello everyone,why the program, reported below, does not work? There seem to be problems with conditional operators. In fact the program on the right, where no conditional operators appear, gives the required result.I sincerely thank those who will find the error and all those who will try to solve it. Trying to finish solving this problem but keep running into an error. Error message is "This value must be an integer" Mathcad file is attached. 

  How can one re-write the equation with only theta on the left. I need to calculate theta when Q is known. Will this be possible? Q is a ratio variable that rages between 0 and 1 and will be known from previous calculations. I know when Q=0.5 the Theta = PI and when Q=1 then Theta = 2*PI

Hi all,   I am working on a problem for my class and I'm having trouble even beginning to program this transient heat conduction problem.   I have attached a sheet with information regarding the problem I am trying to solve. What I want to do is eventually increase the order of my interpolation functions (from linear to quadratic and so on) and also increase the number of elements I use and compare how well each of these methods converge, but I don't know how to incorporate iterating through time into my dependent variable while still keeping it a 2x1 vector.   Basically, I have a boundary condition at u1 for all timesteps and and an initial condition at t=0 for all x, but short of adding another index onto my u vector, I don't know how to actually iterate through a number-of-timesteps value. I don't think I can add another index onto the u vector because then that would change the outcome when I multiply my matrices by that vector.   The difference scheme I want to
