Mathcad

Prime 6 new symbolic engine has a bug for RMS and Average values evaluation. Without using step function, how to do to get the symbolic results?  

  Here is the issue, I've tried every which way to get this summation to work, but it keeps giving me an "undefined variable" error.  I tried adding the matrix vector operator "[" to indicate the "i" index, but that didn't seem to work either.      Can someone point me in the right direction here?

I created a simple calculation of the oscillation of a pendulum in Mathcad 15 - it does not work. The calculation worked when I converted it to Prime 5. I can’t find a mistake - there is no time - my wife is calling to go for a walk in the park - the weather is very good. I hope that when I return from the walk, someone will find a mistake 😉

I was verifying my math against simulation (PSICE) results and noticed an odd discrepancy when trying to plot the difference in phase angle between two transfer functions.   Comparing each transfer function's phase angle to its corresponding simulation result shows an almost exact alignment. However, comparing the difference between the phase angles shows correctly (or at least as expected) only for the simulation results.   What am I missing? Worksheet is attached (MathCAD 15.0 M050).

I can confirm the new SaveAs API function in Prime 6 works well. You can automate and save any existing file to a PDF. What wasn't mentioned is you can also use the function to save as a RTF file format. This can be opened directly in to Word as well. The quality of document in PDF and RTF is exactly the same as the Mathcad document. Very impressive.

Hi, I'm a Quantitative Sciences student and a first-time user of Mathcad.   As I do not have information on the asset volatility, I need to compute the value of asset volatility using two equations. However, the comment said that "The variable is undefined.."   May I know how to solve it? Thank you so much.

Hi All, I am a Mathcad user since the 1990s. With the new version, that is Prime 6, I find myself a little uncomfortable because the following things are missing: In comparison with Mathcad 15, they are:                1) animation for the graphics,                2) the definition of new types, (Format equation, user 1, user 2, ..., Format result.)                3) vertical and horizontal alignment,                4) selection of the entire worksheet with a click,                5) inserting subscripts or quotes in the text,                6)

In the attached mathcad prime 3.1 worksheet I'm attempting to utilize a solve block to determine the actual value of the variable xNA. A guess value was used earlier in the worksheet. Although the worksheet produces no errors it's setting the solved value to whatever the guess value is. How can I stop this behavior? Is it due to incorrect constraints?  

I would really appreciate advice on opening the attached MCD file. Itcontains vital data for our current research, and the collaborator whooriginally created the files is no longer available to help.I know that the file was created in 2005, but I don't know what versionof Mathcad was used. I tried opening the file in trial version ofMathcad Prime 1.0, but that didn't work. Then I tried opening it in atrial version of the older Mathcad 15, but that also didn't work; itsays "Failed to open document." Finally, I tried converting it with the"XMCD, MCD Converter" but this does not work; I get "Unexpected errorencountered during conversion."

Dear Mathcad users,   I would like to have a more detailed description of the math behind the functions. For example today I was looking into the cross correlation functions crosscorr(S, K, [BC], [OV]). I would like to see the expressions that are used to calculate the results.   Hi, I got some problems with my installation of MathCad Prime 3.1. After downloading MathCad Prime 3.1 and activating the requested license I started the application. But if I click on it the splash screen will be only displayed for a short time. First I thought that the application didn't even start but I found out that the MathCadPrime.exe is still listed in the task manager.  I tried to uninstall and resinstall MathCad certain times but I couldn't fix the problem. I don't know what to do anymore I am very desperated.   Thanks in advance!

Hi all, I am attempting to extract a vector element piecewise within a while loop and assign it to the while evaluation variable for test.  I am able t do this once before I enter the loop but I cannot do this once in the loop and I get the "Array index is invalid message".  Is there a way to conveniently extract the element and assign it to the evaluation variable?  I am not a strong coder, clearly, I do not understand something. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi!I tried to install MathCad by using Wine (through Homebrew). I have successfully opened the .exe file and went half way through the installation process. When I come to the point of downloading MathCad and microsoft .NET framework setup files, the programme freezes. I re-tried it multiple times, always freezes just with different percentage of downloaded files. What can I do? Is there any other way how to get to the MathCad on mac?
