Hi,Am I being really dumb... integral of exp(cx) should be exp(cx)/cMathcad Prime gives me integral of exp(cx) = x*exp(cx)I'm confused, what am I doing wrong?Thankyou.

Hi, I changed my hard drive, so now  I want to activate my licence of Mathcad but a message say that I've already reach the maximum number of licences. What can I do?

1.create a Java application program that will add up the cost of three items, then print the final total with sales tax. it is part of my assignment.I tried but mine wont compile. can some one do this a little quick and post a screen shot. use java.

Hello everyone !It seems to me that symbolic calculation works strangely when applied to scalar product of two vectors, even if I use vectorize operator.The consequent error message "Divide by 0" is then not so unexpected... Or maybe it's me who's wrong there.What's the meaning of the bar above T in one of the symbolic results ? (attached worksheet).Many thanks, Liv.

In the case of numbers, like tan(2), the Help provides clear information : figure after keyword confrac = number of accurate digits.But what is the meaning of this figure in the case of the function tan(x) ?Must confess that in the beginning it was a little bit confusing the display of the development of tan(x) by continued fractions...(Pls. see attached)Is there some trick to avoid the very tall vector of terms ? Probably by assigning the result of the symbolic evaluation by confrac to a variable without displaying the result...? Or would it be possible to have it in a usual table to scroll in ?I think that for sqrt(x) and n-th root functions I have to look for in math books...Best regards, Liv.

Hi, I've just lost my days work. I have been working on a very large automatic file for use for non-mathcad users. I have backups but not of todays work. When I was saving, mathcad froze and now I can't open the file. This is for designing and frame for structural engineering. I can reproduce what I did but it was many hours work.I'm hoping someone can get it open. I've attached the 3 files that are in the folder where it was working last. Thank you!

Can I install mathcad or Prime 3.1 on S.O wondows 10 ?

I am trying to program a basic Otto engine cycle and am having difficulty with states 2-3. Between these states, I need to have a numerical method that calculates a new pressure based on the old pressure and relationships with known values and constants. The independent variable is crank angle (theta). I've attached a working copy of the worksheet as well as some notes depicting the logic.I've attempted to use theta as both a vector index and range variable but haven't been successful.  Thank you in advance.

Hello to all,I am trying to solve an improper integral where the variables after integration are matrices 1xn. if I calculate the integral for just one individual components, the integral calculation will work.if I try to calculate to obtain all the points it will not.Due to the amount of variables references that are associated with the integrand, I put here a pdf file showing that is happening.and the error that appears on the one with the column matrix is "Encountered a function error.Regards,Rogelio

HiI'm trying to make a listbox where the options are dependent on another variable in my worksheet. If my variable n.sec is smaller than 3, I want the list box to only have the option "N/A". Otherwise I would like it to display a list of options.I'm having a hard time understanding the vb script language, and haven't been able to find a simple tutorial to get me started in using it in mathcad. The problem is of this form:The problem is that at the point y=1 i have a discontinuity and I dont even know where the problem is. . Im am trying to solve an exercise with Levy's theory for plates which is a Single Sine Series. As it is described in the books, i have to use a load pm(y) , with m=1,2,3,...M, but as a function of y. I will try to illustrate it in the following figure and also i will upload the file that I'm trying to create. It is in Mathcad 15. I hope i'm clear enough because it is a bit difficult since i don't have it clear enough myself, unfortunately.
