Hello, Everyone.Need help in a creating program function like as the above. Thanks in advance for your time and help. Regards.
The video here is not good (Dan! Why?) Download please the video and the Mathcad 15 sheet from attach! The video is here http://communities.ptc.com/videos/3543Message was edited by: Valery Ochkov
Mathcad Express is Mathcad Prime without some function.Intercept and slope functions are closed in Mathcad Express for example. But we can create its in Mathcad Prime and use in Mathcad Express - see the picture and attach. Can you create others closed function for Express?PS - last and rows function and a sum operator are open in Express? Check some body please!
Hi, everyone,So I have come to the eigenvalues of matrix D, and now I want to find the eigenvector corresponding to eigenvalue 176.718.Is there a way to find the it?Using the eigenvecs cannot produce the right answer,As seen in this figure, EV has four linear independent eigenvectors, and the last column is the right one. But I presume this is only a coincidence, as eigenvecs in this case used det(D-lambda*I)=0, to recalculate all new lambdas of the new defined D. Is there a function like [lambda, Eigenvector]= eig(K,M) in Matlab, that returns to the eigenvectors corresponding to each eigenvalues?Thank you for your timeBestShawn
does prime still support animation?@
As a source of initial data, I use Excel files. When trying to find the values in the table by using "hlookup" function is working for a file "Data 1" and does not work in the case of the data from the file "Data 2". Why?With "Data 1":With "Data 2":
I tried to find for whch OS's Mathcad is available at the moment but could not find the answer to this vital question. This's the reason I'm posting here now. I have at my disposal an Android tablet running 4.2.2 and also an old iBook G4 running OS X 10.5.8.Do I have an appropriate system for your software with these? Thanks for any information you might provide on this issue!Mensaje editado por: Bernabe Echevarria To correct a semantic error
Does anyone have experience with Mathcad 15 installed on a Cyntrix environment?I know it is officially not yet supported by PTC, but that doesn't mean perse that it would not work.
I am working on problems where all the angles are in degrees and the trigonometric functions should read them as such. It is a lot of work to make sure that all the angles are converted to radians before the algebraic expressions involving them are evaluated. Is there any way that a statement or preference can be added so that mathcad correctly evaluates the trigonometric functions with the arguments in degrees?
Hi guys, I'm having a bit of trouble with this solution. I'm trying to solve a problem where in essence I'm using the RK Equation of state to find two volumes, then using the Trapezoidal Rule to "integrate" without calling an integral function. I'll attach pictures and my current Mathcad file so you can follow along with my commentary. In the first picture I've defined the function using the Boolean operator to find by initial and final volumes. If you're using my .xmcd file be careful, I sometimes use "[" subscripts and sometimes I use p.1 instead -- click the definition to check. In the second picture I've defined the RK equation of state as an actual function of v and I have the trapezoidal rule as a comment. I'm showing that my h = final - initial, my interval is starting from v0 and going by my step size of h/2n to my final volume. I then evaluate the RK function at the initial volume, the final volume, and sum the evaluation of p over the interval v to get the 3 terms needed for tr
Greeting, everyoneWith the first approach, Mathcad cannot return to a solution. But the second one using Polyroots works. And when I check with the eigenvalues derived from above, the determinant is not equal to 0, why?Thank you for your time.BestShawn
Hi MathCAD Community,To start I will try and give some background to the problem:I have imported some data points that represent two edge curves of a surface in Creo. Using Matricies I can rotate these data points by a given angle made up of Yaw and Pitch. I then project these rotated data points to the zero plane using a projection Matrix. Next I fit a function through the two sets of transformed data and using integrals I calculate the area between these curves. Now that I have worked out how to do this by specifying the rotation angle I want to iterate through 180 degrees of rotation in Yaw and Pitch to find the orientation that provides the smallest area between the curves. My problem is when I go to find the potential intersection points of the two curves (for defining integral limits) I use a solve block, which cannot be implemented within a for loop for iterating through angles...If anyone could help me find a solution to this ASAP it would be greatly appreciated. I have attached
In MathCad 14 it was no problem using solve combined with Kirchoff laws on a circuit to figure out different current, but in MathCad Prime it doesn't work when i type the same things in solve block. What am I doing wrong? MathCad 14 on the left and Prime on the right
So I finally had to get a new PC and move to Windows 7. So I lost my MathCad 11 installed on XP. I popped in the disk and after installing I'm told that PTC was "nice" enough to not let you activate the old license anymore. However, when I download the new Prime it doesn't recognize my old MathCad 11 files. I never upgraded because it had all the functionality I needed, but now it seems my files might as well be written in Sanskrit. Is there any way to continue using these files? Or am I stuck with now figuring out how to rewrite them in Excel? (because I'm not about to trust PTC to not do the same thing again in the future and leave me high and dry)

Hi everyone,I would like to know if there's a way to use a reference within a for loop in Mathcad 15. The subject has already been discussed here but the proposed solution wasn't really working well and gets too complicated with a bigger worksheet. Nevertheless, the principle is there. To schematize, i'm trying to create a worksheet like this : for i from 1 to n * define variables used in reference calculation * call reference * get results(i) from reference next i show results I hope this is technically possible, so please let me know if you know an advanced version of the pre-cited method.Regards,Antoine
Hello all,We are learning shear force and moments and we are drawing them by hand. I understand all the calculations and how to draw shear force and bending moment diagrams but the bonus question on our assignment is to plot the diagram below in Mathcad using x-y graphs. If someone could help me with it I would really appreciate it. We Wont be taught how to do it in Mathcad but i am sure it would be useful to know.
In order to apply the classical Van der Walls Critical Isotherm Conditions to a Carnahan-Staling based EOS, I make use of the derivative operators within a solve block. I found discrepancy between the derivative evaluated by using the symbolic derivative and the expanded derivative ( calculated symbolically ). Furthermore the solve block does not converge with the symbolic derivatives, while it does ( "better" ) with the expanded derivative.
Hi !I'm trying to create a simple programming sheet but I cant solve this error "This Value must be a scalar".If anyone could help me, it will be great !
Corrupted Mathcad file with the "busy excel" Error.

Hello, how I can shade area under graph in Mathcad Prime 3.1?
I'm giving this old problem a shot with the pdesolve built-in function. Yes, this problem has an analytical solution, and most likely, it can be solved using dimensional arrays and finite differences too. I might be missing something obvious as to how I have set it up. Please, take a look. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. Thanks,
